SDK: Qt Creator 2.4.1 (Qt 4.7.4 (32 bit)) running on Windows 7
Software: libqxt
Final target platform: Harmattan (Nokia N9)
I am developing an application that is suppose to use qt-Brisa which in turn uses libqxt so I am trying to install libqxt.
In the end I am doing a Nokia N9 (Harmattan) application so I need static library of libqxt
However I get problems when trying to install libqxt both if I try the command prompt or with Qt Creator.
What is the correct approach, I assume using the Qt Creator is the correct way to build it?
Try 1
Using command Prompt approach (according to http://dev.libqxt.org/libqxt/wiki/user_guide)
C:\QtSDK\Desktop\Qt\4.8.1\msvc2010\bin
configure.bat -static -no-db -debug_and_release

Why is it using GNU make and not qmake or am I doing somethign wrong ?
Try 2
Using Qt Creator
I also tried to load the libqxt project into the Creator (which I would like to prefer)
but the compile output windows show the following
11:05:50: Running build steps for project libqxt...
11:05:50: Starting: "c:\qtsdk\desktop\qt\4.8.1\msvc2010\bin\qmake.exe"

But that did not compile either
(WARNING: features.path is not defined: install target not created)
When it compiles, how do I "add" the libqxt to the rest of the Qt environment so another project can "see" the libqxt libraries, is it by "Deploy All" ?

I am trying to install LightGBM GPU version on Windows systems (I am using Anaconda on Windows for Python). I followed the installation guide from the beginning.
I have succefully completed the first two tasks:
Install the appropriate OpenCL SDK
Install MinGW
However, I encountered error after this command for Boost Compilation:
b2 install --build_dir="C:\boost\boost-build" --prefix="C:\boost\boost-build" toolset=gcc --with=filesystem,system threading=multi --layout=system release
The Error Message are as followed:

Please share me any suggestions on how should I rectify the problem?
While running a project in qt creator in ubuntu I got the following error: "No rule to make target for 'isledialog.ui' needed by 'ui_isledialog.h'.Stop."
I'd like to have code with XC tests (the tests are launched on Mac) and iOS app that uses that code. I'm having:
One workspace
Two projects
2.1. Project 1: Mac OS static library (code + tests to run on Mac)
2.2. Project 2: iOS app that uses Project 1 code
The problem is that library is build for x86_64 platform and iOS app fails to link as it's built for i386 platform (to run in iOS simulator):
ld: warning: ld: warning: ld: warning: ignoring file
/Users/asmirnov/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/iFileSystem-colswwvuefyumkclybhsyoymndun/Build/Products/Debug/libFileSystem.a
...
clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)
How can i do it?
PS. Should i use "iOS static library" Project type instead?
I've solved it for me case and probably it can be useful for others.
Create 2 targets instead of default 1 target (and 2 products) for library - both Mac OS (to be used for unit tests on dev machine) and iOS (to be used in iOS app). See Base SDK in target build settings.

OgreMain seems to be inexistent in OSX. What can I do to get around this issue?
Ogre is a 3D rendering engine and not part of OSX (but supported on that platform). The ROS project uses Ogre for the rendering part in their visualization tools.
According to their website, there currently is an issue with the ROS+Ogre build process, that they are working on, compare this ROS support ticket.
In the meantime, you should try the two other build options listed here until they managed to sort out their build process issues:
Desktop Install (recommended): ROS, rqt, rviz, and robot-generic libraries
ROS-Comm: (Bare Bones) ROS package, build, and communication libraries. No GUI tools.
Another option might be to compile Ogre yourself, if you feel up to the task.
I have a following problem with compiling libqxt.

The source were downloaded from an official website. Running configure and mingw32-make is the way of compiling that is described in README file. What's wrong here?
The answer was simple and unexpected - mingw32-make has big problems with parenthesis ( "(" signs ) in PATH environment variable. The solution is to remove from the PATH all directories that contain "(".
One can change PATH locally in the command line (while not changing it for any other programs) using syntax:
set PATH=..., e.g. my sanitized PATH was:
set PATH=C:\QtSDK\mingw\bin;C:\QtSDK\Desktop\Qt\4.8.0\mingw\lib;C:\QtSDK\Desktop\Qt\4.8.0\mingw\bin\;C:\Windows\system32;C:\Windows;C:\Windows\System32\Wbem;C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;
As for getting the current PATH value, use syntax: echo %PATH%.
