How can I make an independent static landing page for a joomla website - joomla

For www.makevending.ro, I need to make a landing page with the purpose of organizing a contest.
I need this page to be static and completely independent from the Joomla admin. When a visitor provides his/her name and e-mail adress, he will be taken to the sites HOMEPAGE.
Is there a fast and safe way of doing this?
Thank you.

There are several plugins to do this on the JED website here

How to use individual url keys for linked (store switcher enabled) Magento CMS pages?

did some research but didn't come across any solutions or helpless clues regarding this:
In a Magento store CMS pages can be set up for different store views but they are identified by there common url key. That way Magento looks up the correct page when switching stores / languages.
What are best practices or are there recommended extensions to use individual url keys but still keep the pages linked together and recognized by Magento as translations of the same content?
Thanks in advance,
Micha

How to forward all the 404 pages to the front page?

I have a simple question...I had an old store and people bookmarked specific product pages in their browsers as well as Google search points to some specific pages. I have now installed a new version of Magento (1.9.1) and some of these URLs will not longer work (they will show the standard 404 not found Magento page).
What would be the best way to forward all these hits to the front page?
Thank you for any suggestions!

Login to the admin, go to System>Configuration>Web and change the drop-down value for CMS No Route Page in the Default Pages section. You should be able to select your CMS Home Page.

If manual setting doesnt help, you can try this.

Can I insert a phpBB Forum into a Magento CMS Static Page or Block?

I'm sure there is a much simpler solution for what I am trying to do here, but I am running out of ideas. Essentially I need to create a phpBB forum what exists within my Magento install so that the header and footer from my Magento store are always visible.
The thought is to use a CMS static page for the forum and then style it accordingly. Is there a way to accomplish what I want to do without significant modification? Or, do I just create a one off .phtml file that calls my header, footer and forum? Am I on the right page or am I over/under thinking this?
You'll need to get around Magento's bootstrap (/index.php), because phpBB won't function if Magento is intercepting every URL.
There's also the issue of Magento and phpBB not sharing authentication systems, so users have to log into one, neither, or both. That's not a great UX if you ask me, but solving that problem is a very complicated issue.
Other than that you shouldn't have many problems.

Magento create landing page with registration fields

I'm having e-commerce store built in magento. As by marketing point of view we planned to create a landing page which contains all registration fields and we'll run a separate adcampaign only for that to collect user's info.
I don't have any idea to do this.
Please give me a suggestion to make it possible.
Thanks in advance.
Not exactly what you asked for but If you need to get users to login/register on your site right away when they visit, you could use this lovely extension.

Convert Webspell CMS site to Joomla CMS site

I have a Webspell CMS gaming site and would like to convert it to use the Joomla CMS system. My main sites is done in Joomla and I love it. The only reason I'm using the Webspell CMS is because of the "TEAM" features it has for our teams.
www.teamsyops.com is the site I want to convert to a Joomla backend with all the functions of Webspell.
It's quite a big job, and Joomla has it's seperate way of doing things which won't interact with Webspell. Personally, i'd stick with the CMS that works, unless you want functionality that only Joomla has to offer.
