I am using Adobe Fireworks 5.1 for Mac and I am trying to make a banner animation.
I know how to make a normal animation using multiple states, however, I need to hotspot each slide of the banner animation to point to a different URL.
I am trying to do this without using Flash because Fireworks is easier to use.

I'm about to finish programming an application and I want us to set wallpapers for the application's pages as background .. and i need your help friends if there any recommendation to make image Compatible with all screens for iOS and android
thanks
Making images as a background for every page might make your application laggy and bulky. I would rather suggest you use inbuilt options like the simple background color.
If you want to use images only then you can have different resolutions of the image as asset and using MediaQuery and LayoutBuilder you can change the image as per the size of the device.
You can have a look at this page to know more about adaptive applications
I'm developing a cross-platform photo retouching application based on Gtk-2 (but already able to support Gtk-3 with minor modifications).
In my program, the result of the image retouching is previewed in a scrollable area that is implemented through a Gtk::DrawingArea inserted into a Gtk::ScrolledWindow. The drawing itself is performed using Cairo.
Recently I had the possibility to test the software on a MacBookPro laptop with retina display, and I've immediately realised that the preview image gets magnified by a factor of 2, like all the rest of the GUI elements.
Is there a way to tell Cairo and the DrawingArea to use the native screen resolution, instead of applying a 2x magnification? Is this supported in recent Gtk-3 versions?
Thanks for you help.
I’m working with an Image control and I’m trying to implement pinch-zoom and panning.
None of the ready-to-go samples on the web, which handles the zoom and pan, worked as smoothly as the native Photos app on Windows Phone or like when viewing an image in Internet Explorer.
This led me to implement my own way of handling them which included me trying the following ways: (Scaling works as of now and I’m trying to get the panning to work too)
Putting the Image inside a ViewportControl; resulted in incredibly jerky scaling, but panning works smoothly. Setting UseOptimizedManipulationRouting="False" on the image didn't make a difference.
Putting the Image inside a ScrollViewer; scaling doesn't even work and panning is glitchy (jerky sometimes).
Using only the Image control and making use of animations to handle the smooth panning.
I haven't implemented step 3 yet, because I can't shake the feeling I've missed something. How can something so widely used be this hard to implement? :|
So my question is
What do I need to do to implement pinch-zoom and panning as smooth as in the Photos app?
If animations are the way to go can they be used to smooth scaling and translations to match that of the native experience?
Im making a videoplayer in a wp7 app. Im using mediaelement to show the video, and sets its source from a url. Functionality i wanted are play/stop-buttons, forwarding/rewinding, a progressindicator (for the progress of the video itself) and show a progressbar when it buffers. I have accomplished all above, using some customized grids, buttons and so on.
I did get some trouble though, which i dont want to bother you with here (its a mess) and which is why im asking the following:
Is there a standard (or downloadable) control for wp7 that does all these things for me and that works perfectly. Ive searched "everywhere" but couldnt find anything. It surprises me that this isnt an easy to use, built in control that is easy to customize, since standard videoplayers are something id guess alot of apps could take advantage of.
Anyone?
Here is a tutorial on how to create a Windows Phone 7 View Model Style Video Player.
For my application, there are many features that need to include animations. For example, while loading a ViewController, I need the images and buttons that appear on the screen an intricate Animations that cannot be done in Xcode. So far, I have made only simple animations through Xcode such as shrinking images, buttons moving to a CGPoint, etc. Simple things. If I make these intricate animations in Adobe Flash or another animation software, is there anyway to incorporate it within my application?
Depending on the nature of your application, you could consider writing the application using Flash, and then use Adobe AIR to compile it to run natively on iPhone and iPad. Best of all, Adobe AIR could also compile it to run on Android, Blackberry Playbook and traditional Windows and Mac, so you can write once and run everywhere. By doing so, you can also take advantage of the animation power of Flash.
Apple dod not support flash on iphone or ipad.only youtube can be played. if you want to use any animation make a gif or use HTML5.
