Im using play framework and rendering PDF usin rednerPDF() method.
I would like to display some part of content always be in new page.
For Example I have two tables, One table should be in first page and another table should in next page instead of continue from first page. The first table contents are dynamic and we can't sure the height of the table.
Is it possible?
Is it possible?Yes.
You said one table(first one) should be in first page,and again you said its content is dynamic.Now my question is it span over pages and in the next page you want to write second table?This is a generic scenario and what you mentioned is specific one.
You can start trying using two properties of PdfPTable setSplitLate() and setSplitRows()(just google it out for details read Itext In Action).Just keep Two table as two Rows of outer table.set those two property for inner as well as outer in some way as you want(i.e generic case/Specific case).
Another alternative way is use writeSelectedRows() method over PdfContentByte(I don't konw which Object you gonna use for manipulating pdf but you can get it from PdfWriter,*PdfStamper* by using getDirectContent/*UnderContent*/OverContent) after generating table.To use this method you have to set total width of the table so the height can be calculated by method getTotalHeight of PdfPTable.If You use this height properly you absolutely know where your table ends.But all these specific part you have to read & understand first.
With yahp you can use a special html tag to force a page break
<yahp:pb />
we can achieve this by page-break-after:always

I have tried everything I know to make title of header replicate items value, including substitution string &P10_TITLE_TEXT. inside headers title property. Generally, this would work for normal region, but in my case I try to modify value of pages main region, which is rendering first, before any other item. My assumption is that title text is not showing because it cannot see items value yet.
Is there a simple way to refresh title header after items are ready, or perhaps another better solution?
PS: This is main header of the modal dialog page, that has no property for setting static id, and it's template is less adjustable then normal regions.
Try the following javascript in "Execute When Page Loads" of the modal page:
$('.ui-dialog-title',parent ? parent.document : document).text( apex.items. P10_TITLE_TEXT.value );
Pre-Rendering computations may be the solution here.
You can try creating a computation before Regions under Pre-Rendering to set &P10_TITLE_TEXT.. There will be no need to "refresh". This is if you are simply loading it once.
If you are trying to set headers based on input every time you change it, I would advise separating into two pages so you can submit the page and APEX can reload and process, or just use javascript.
On my page I would like to output all records of a specific folder
but the number should initially be limited to a certain quantity (to reduce the loading times). With a "Load more" button further records should be loaded.
Does anyone have a hint on how I can achieve this?
I have already found several approaches on the web in connection with AJAX, but since I'm not familiar with this yet, more questions than answers have emerged ...
For info: I use an own Template Extension / Distribution under Typo3 9.5.8
Thank you in advance for any help!!
The state of the art solution is the AJAX solution, where you load only the required records from the server and modify the page on the fly.
Another option would be an URL parameter which is evaluated by your extension.
With the parameter the full list is shown,
without only the first N and a button with the link to the same URL including the parameter for the full list.
Make sure the paramter is handled correctly and generates another cached version of the page. (keywords: cHash)
As you now have two pages with partially identical content: don't forget to tell the searchengines that the short variant should not be indexed.
You could use the Paginate Widget like documented here: https://docs.typo3.org/other/typo3/view-helper-reference/9.5/en-us/typo3/fluid/latest/Widget/Paginate.html
By overriding the paginate template file and only rendering the pagination.nextPage link, you could load the nextpage via AJAX.
I have a lot of ASCII docs at different locations and I want to create an index page which should render these documents. But the condition here is that I want to list all the document link on the index page and if the user clicks on any link then only the document should be displayed. I don't want to display the documents below the table of content. I just want to display the table of content on the index page.
Is there any way to do this?
If I understand you correctly, you wish to generate a multi-document website, but you want an index page that displays just the TOC, with the other documents served elsewhere. I believe the best way to get this effect would be to generate chunked XHTML output using the DocBook toolchain. I believe this should be possible with Asciidoctor tools, but I have only implemented this particular post-rendering toolchain with the original (Python-based) AsciiDoc rendering tool, as documented here. This setup is configurable to generate a TOC index page that links to chunked output (you can configure the level of chunking).
As you have already figured out, AsciiDoc's automated TOC generation only works on the present document, which requires including the subordinate document to get their headings for the TOC. I can think of ways to sort of game this, such as to include just the heading of the included document (include::path/to/document.adoc[lines=1]) and then hiding even those headings with CSS or something. The problem is, the links in the TOC will be pointing internally, so you'd need to handle that somehow.
Another way is to use any of the static-site generators that support or can be readily extended to support AsciiDoc. What you're talking about is not an out-of-the-box feature that I'm aware of, but they all at least make it possible to generate an organized TOC-type navigation.
Followed by my last question: Automatically create pages in phpfox
Now I'm trying to assign a list of pre-uploaded images to some pages as their profile picture in phpfox.
After checking data changes in the database, I only realized changes in these two fields:
image_path in table of phpfox_pages (which take a an address to the image file)
user_image in table of phpfox_user (which take a string of "user_id+%s".file_extension)
But by inserting data in these two fields in records for a page that has a default profile pic, it's profile pic would not change.
Is there any other fields or options that I should change?
Look at the file /module/pages/include/service/process.class.php In there look for the function update and around line 442 find this
if ($this->_bHasImage)
This piece of code handles setting an image for the page, notice how it creates three thumbnails, maybe the problem you're having is that you didn't create all the needed thumbs. You also need to update the column image_server_id.
Hope it helps
look phpfox_photo table in that you will find is_profile_photo attribute that is always 1 for the profile picture
I have an application where I need to display metrics. The application needs to display a separate vertical section for each metric. When I started this, there were only 5 metrics so I naively created a template with 5 regions, one for each metric I needed to display. Now, new metrics need to be added and I want to avoid adding "hardcoded" region divs in the template. I want to refactor this and create the required regions dynamically at startup time based on some configuration data.
So I have been looking at the latest Marionette release and in question "Dynamically add regions to Marionette layout", Derick Bailey mentions that Marionette v1.0 supports dynamic regions in Layouts through addRegion(), as in:
var layout = new MyLayout();
layout.render()
layout.addRegion("someRegion", "#some-element");
layout.someRegion.show(new MyView());
I have tried that in my code (using Marionette 1.0.2) and I am not getting it to work. I don't have a div with id="some-element" in my template and I suspect this could be the reason. I was hoping that Marionette would create that div itself.
Perhaps my expectation of what dynamically adding a region means is wrong. So my first question is: when adding regions dynamically to a layout, must the element id passed in the addRegion() function already exist in the layout?
If so, then I am back to the problem of having to "burn" in the template those divs for the regions to attach themselves too. My follow-up question is then: What is the best way of doing this in a data-driven fashion? Is it a matter of writing my own render() function so that the right set of divs get created? Or perhaps providing my Layout with a model object that will contain data which the template can then iterate through to create the necessary divs? How do we add regions dynamically to a Layout object if we don't know in advance how many regions we will actually need?
Aa #aaronfay specified, we need to use jQuery to create the element on the page. Here is some sample code:
var layout = new MyLayout();
layout.render()
var regionName = "dynamicRegion";
layout.$el.append('<div id="'+regionName+'"></div>');
layout.addRegion("someRegion", "#"+regionName);
layout.someRegion.show(new MyView());
I believe you would need to use jQuery (or similar) to create the element on the page. A Region expects the element to exist.
Otherwise, I believe your answer is here.
