How to turn the blue placement text in Xcode to text? - xcode

Is there a way to turn the blue placement text in Xcode to actual text? It is quite tedious to have to type it out when I have a block.

From the caret position you show, doesn't:
Tab then Return
do what you want?

With the blue replacement text selected, hit return.

Press Tab key, when the blue text is selected, press Enter.

Select using tab or mouse click
press Enter or Return
That will insert the text

How to move from Title box to Content box without mouse?

I create a new slide (Ctrl+m).
The layout by default is Title + Content.
I edit the title slide and now want to move to the content textbox.
How can I do this without my mouse?
Nutshell answer:
Hit ESC, then TAB key.
Short answer:
After typing your text into the Title placeholder, hit ESC to exit editing.
Then hit the TAB key to move to the next object. (If that is not the Content placeholder, continue hitting TAB until the desired object is selected.)
Start typing to enter your text.
Extended answer:
Hit Ctrl+m to create a new slide that uses the same Layout as the current one.
Hit the TAB key to go to the first object on the slide. (This is the back-most object on your slide; the one on the bottom in the Selection Pane list. If the designer of the Layout did a good job, this is the Title placeholder. If not, keep hitting TAB until the desired object is selected.)
Start typing your text. (If you edit an existing slide and there is already text contained in the shape, simply starting to type will append text at the end. If you want to replace the existing text, hit the return/enter key before starting to type. That will select all contained text, so it will be overwritten when you start typing.)
When finished entering your text, hit the ESC button (to exit edit mode and have the actual shape selected), and hit the TAB key to go to the next object – i.e. the second-lowest one. (Again, if the designer did a good job, this will be your Content placeholder. If not, continue hitting TAB.)
Go to step 3 to continue with the next object.
After typing the title text, press CTRL + M to put the cursor in the content placeholder.

drag and drop text in sublime text (build 4126)

I would like to select text and then able to drag that text to another part of the page. Currently, I can select text but can't then move it. Thanks!
You can hold Ctrl + drag, this way you will be able to do that!

TAB in CKEditor

If I press TAB between two words in Libreoffice, then a TAB gets inserted between these words. See this screenshot and the blue arrow:
If I do the same in CKEditor, then the whole line gets moved to the right. See this screenhost and the blue arrow:
Is there a way to configure CKEditor to behave like libreoffice?
What you have highlighted with violet color is for increasing an indent of the paragraph and it is not for inserting a tab in between words.
Definition
When referring to text, indent or indentation is the increase or
decrease of space between the left and right margin of a paragraph. In
many programs, an indent for the first line of text can be created by
moving the cursor to the front of the line and pressing the tab key on
the keyboard.
You can set tabSpaces config option to allow tabs in the editor.

Microsoft Word Highlighting Text White

For some reason, whenever I create a Text Box and start typing, the background text is highlighted white and I can't make it transparent. This picture should explain everything:
I want to remove the highlighting so the gradient in the background shows through. I used to do things like this a lot, but for some reason Word won't let me now. Any suggestions?
I am on Word 2011 Mac
Got some clues here and finally found a solution for MSWord for Mac version 16.9:
Select the text you want to fix
Select "Design" Tab
Click "Page Borders"
Click the "Shading" Tab
Select Apply to "Text"
[Fill] is showing "No Color". Open the selection and re-select "No Color"
Hit "OK"
Worked for me. It is obviously a bug in Word.
Right-click the text box that you want to make invisible.
If you want to change multiple text boxes, click the first text box or shape, and then press and hold SHIFT while you click the other text boxes.
On the shortcut menu, click Format Text Box.
On the Colors and Lines tab, in the Fill section, click the arrow next to Color, and then click No Color.
On the Colors and Lines tab, in the Line section, click the arrow next to Color, and then click No Color.
Click OK. Your textbox's background is now invisible...
It seems the actual text highlight is your problem, so try:
Go into Borders and Shading, apply it to text, and set it to clear. Had me confused because I've never had to do this before.
As seen here.
I also searched around and had trouble finding this.
In Word for Mac 2011
Highlight the text
Click tables in the ribbon
Find the shading icon (looks like a paint bucket)
Click the down arrow next to the bucket and select No Fill
Change the text format from anything apart from Normal text.(important)
Solution 1
Select the Text box and go to the "format" tab,
modify the outline and fill options
if this isn't enough
Solution 2
select the Text box and right click for options
select the last option "format shape"

Xcode: Color highlight code/text on cursor blinking

In Android/Eclipse, if I single click on a word, all of its occurrences are color highlighted throughout the file.
Is the same possible in Xcode?
Is there a plugin for achieving it?
Is there any Automator Script/Service to achieve this ?
In xcode click into the word and then hover over it and you should see a little dropdown arrow appear to the right of the word. Click this arrow and choose 'edit all in scope'. This will highlight all occurrences in the file... and let you edit them all at once.
