What buttons have changed labels from fckeditor to ckeditor 4? - ckeditor

It appears that some of the button names have been changed in ckeditor version 4.
Is there a complete list of these changes?
There is a partial list here.

I'm pretty sure that names haven't been changed. If something is not working check if plugin you need is included in your build (most likely it is a standard preset) and if not:
download a full preset (which in fact does not include all plugins too, but most of them) or
add required plugins to your custom CKEditor build.
[EDIT] another useful resource is the toolbar sample shipped with CKEditor package. E.g. here's one for a standard package.

Does CKEditor's "config.removePlugins" setting affect its loading time?

I have a custom CKEditor build. Eventually, after I've done code changes, which I don't want to lose, I decided that not all of the plugins, which I included in the initial build, were necessary, so I removed some of them through the config.js file by using config.removePlugins.
My questions are:
Does this method improve the loading speed of the editor at all or does it remove the plugins after they have been loaded?
If the first is true, does it only affect the loading of resources from the plugins folder or does it also affect the loaded content of the ckeditor.js file?
If you downloaded the Full package from CKEditor download page then while loading the editor, the whole package gets loaded even if config.removePlugins is used.
The less plugins you have, the faster the editor loads. This is the general rule. Another one is that the editor should be served in release and not the source mode.
The best practice is to get the editor source code from here, create your own fork which you can update to newest stable branches, create your custom plugins and build your own custom editor release according to this link.
This way you will get all the plugins you want and the editor code will be minified, obfuscated and combined into a single ckeditor.js file which should guarantee the fastest load time.

ckeditor source view formatting lost?

I've just upgraded from CKEditor 4.4.4 to CKEditor 4.5.2 and it seems that the source code formatting is lost. This is also the case with all demos on the official case eg. main demo page.
It used to look like this (nice formatting, coloring):
And now it looks like this:
Does anybody know if I need a plugin or if it's a bug?
CKEditor has never provided syntax coloring in source mode.
Previously you have used some third party plugin, so you must add it again.

Have your custom theme exported in SemanticUI

Following documentation, I downloaded Semantic UI with:
npm install semantic-ui
then, I customised few variables per site, also few on element level, button for example.
This is all well, and I haven't had any problem changing those.
Then in theme.config file, I could specify:
#button: 'mytheme';
to pickup those custom style overrides
For my theme to be separate from Semantic UI core, I crated directory in the following path,
src/themes/mytheme
,and after running gulp build, I expected to have that mytheme exported over to dist/themes/mytheme along with basic and default which were already there. But that was not the case. So to be able to use my new button styles, I had to move manually newly generated button.css from dist/components after that gulp build task.
Am I doing this wrong? How to have all override files in one place like packaged theme? So I could then add <link> declaration after semantic.min.css to use my overrides.

How to make UI a solid color in CKeditor 4.5

How does one make the color of the UI toolbar of CKeditor solid rather than gradient? I've search the other questions and read that I need to edit a file skins.js, but there are no js files in the skins folder.
CKEditor 4.5 is not yet out there, so my assumption is that you use latest major branch.
File you're looking for is skin.js in particular skin directory (eg. mono).
The fact that you can't find this file in given directory might be caused by using builded (minified) CKEditor.
If you did build CKEditor then skin is likely to be minified to main file (but I'm not that familiar with building, so it's my guess).
If that's the case, you need to edit source version, and build it again.

Liferay ckeditor upgrade

I'm working with Liferay version 6.1.20 but sadly in this version the ckeditor 4.0 isn't implemented yet.
Is there a way to manualy upgrade CKEditor? or is it a job that i shouldn't start because it's to much work?
I would like to manualy update the CKEditor because the plugin that i'm hooking on isn't compatible with older versions of CKEditor.
I have been looking around on the web. But there isn't any information present as far as i know. I would be nice to know if it's word trying?
Ckeditor 4.0 is included in the trunk (6.2 M4) (this can be seen in the post from Juan Fernández in the liferay forum. Don't know if it will be part of 6.1 GA3 due shortly. I'm not sure how complex it is to upgrade CKEditor. You may want to see the github pull request mentioned in Juan's post.
It looks like that Replacing the ckeditor.js file and adding all the new required files is the first step of replacing the ckeditor. Besides that it's important to change the CKeconfig.jsp and remove all the old configurations. Toolbar settings can be made. These don't seem to cause any problems.
If your working with the .on method please notice that the contentDom event is fired 2 times. Once on loaded and once when the editor is ready. I checked editor.status === "ready" to prevent this. Because it is attaching the listeners when it's not ready.. Because of this the won't work.
=== Edit ===
Still having problems. But now with the save as draft action. It's saving the data but without the Html changes i have made.. I'm making span's with special attributes. but the editor won't save them..
== Edit 2 ==
The problem was a missing CKEDITOR config tag. config.allowedContent = true; (See edit for the problem)
