using Fine-uploader V 3.5 Uploading images successful.
I am displaying the thumbnails of the uploaded images, but how can I delete the thumbnail displays when I delete the file itself?
Is there an unappend I can perform with the onDeleteComplete callback?
I would think it might be easier to attach it to the right of the file name/size/delete link or immediately below it. Then when the list item is removed, the image is also.
Since Fine Uploader does not yet have the ability to create previews yet (it will soon, see cases #868 and #869) I'm assuming you are adding these previews yourself.
So, you simply need to make use of the onDeleteComplete callback. When this callback is invoked, simply remove the associated preview from your document.

I want to download the asset in it's original format using AEM, is it possible? Currently, if I select one pdf or jpeg asset, and click download, it's downloaded as a zip file which includes the selected asset. Now I want to download it without a container zip, that's to say download it in it's original format.
If you are referring to PDF then that's how the download for PDF works because when a PDF is uploaded all it's contents are extracted as sub-assets. This behaviour can be changed via modifying the PDF extraction logic but it won't affect the download behaviour.
The logic behind this is that when an artefact is uploaded in AEM it becomes a DAM asset and rules governing to it's manipulation take over. For example, in case of PDF, a PDF asset is a collection of the original PDF and all it's images and thumbnail extractions. So when you are downloading something you are basically downloading the whole collection as AEM sees it.
Having said that, you can probably write a custom servlet and extend the DAM GUI to download just the PDF.
You can select the option as shown below, when selecting 'Download' action after selecting the asset to download, in Assets UI
i have one app installed which is using arbortext ptc isoview /creo plugin to show files, so i wanted to make app to take snapshot of it in my IE, but cant find the way to load pzv file, if you just drag and drop it, does not work, i also tryed loadin via html, but seems my params are wrong?
solved, by ripping 3 java scripts and displaying full screen pvz file in webbrowser and then taking snapshot
I am developing gallery viewer app. App will fetch the image file from Isolated Storage and will show in an image control. Most of the things are already setup and working fine.
Now images are stored in folders which act as album and user can delete the whole album. I tested with many many folders with assorted images and delete works fine. But I see that when there is a particular image file of name "XXXX.jpg", it doesn't get deleted. Although all the images from folder are shown in image control. That file doesn't gets deleted, and an exception is thrown "ArgumentUnhandledException". I tried after renaming the file but earth didn't move.
Also, for testing purposes I am transferring folders(with images in it) using "Windows Phone Device Manager". I know it is not official to use it, but it makes testing easy. Also peculiar thing is that "Windows Phone Device Manager" also cannot delete that particular file, although I dumped that file in app's isolated storage using "Windows Phone Device Manager". So I think that there is some problem with that file.
How can I delete the file. And if I cannot, how can I know it before hand that some files cannot be dealt with properly and should not be dumped in Isolated storage. Here is that file. File is inside zip file. I think file is required and not not just uploading image to a image hosting site. Please take a look. Also try not to look over the content of image file, that's only random file which is not working and I want to know why.
I found that file was marked read-only and was causing problem when a delete attempt was made. Removing read-only solves the problem.
I'm trying to create a flash image slider however I need the images to be pulled into the flash file from a directory and then to transition fade through to the next ones.
Has anyone got any ideas of where to start on this or any links that could help?
Much Appreciated.
Pull in images from a local or server directory? For a server directory you would use the Flash Loader class Loader
If you are using Adobe AIR then you can load local files using FileReference.
For fading, I use Tweenlite and tween the alpha value of the from image and the to image to make one fade out and the other fade in.
Flash can't read the content of the folder.
You either have to specify the file name(s) manualy either use a server-side script to create a list of the files in the folder - it may be passed to Flash as a XML, text file or just a query string, up to you.
I am using fckEditor as text editor. When i upload images thru it the images were uploaded to app/webroot/fckeditor/images.
And when they're embedded it looks like
/fckfiles/SalmonSashimi.jpg
Until now it looks right.
But the image doesn't appear.
So when I browse the image directly, at here
http://www.in-culture.info/fckfiles/SalmonSashimi.jpg
instead of displaying the URL, Cake interrupts the image call and trying to render it in a layout. I often face this error when I point .html file for iframe scroller and .xml file for flash embedding. This is really embarrassing
You can see the page here
http://www.in-culture.info/events/view/42
That image should appear before the text - "More" dont appear for short text.
Thanks for you help.
Try to change the path where the images are saved. Instead of
/app/webroot/fckeditor/images
try to change to
/app/webroot/img/fckeditor/
I believe that it's possible.
It's resolved now.
It was not cake's fault.
I pointed incomplete absolute path at FckEditor so it didn't upload the files well.
However the uploader mistakenly passes the "OK" so the HTML tries to display it.
So cake tries to render something, as usual, when there is no physical file.
I spent about 10 hours to resolve this.
Now I don't hate cake as I did a few hours ago. (: :)
