can't finde project in pom.xml - maven

i have problem in my pom.xml file for my jsf2.2 ..
No projects found for [C:\Users\pc\workspace\sams-jsf\pom.xml]
i was converted my jsf project to maven cuz i want to use prime-faces jar files

Maven surefire plugin throws an error even when it is not used in IntelliJ

I am using Intellij. Recently I have cleared the Maven repository in local and reimported the dependencies again. Since then I see an error in the Maven window as in the attached image, even though the surefire plugin is not used in pom.
Also, when I run the maven goal "install", I get the following error,
Failure to find org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-surefire-plugin:pom:2.12.4 in https://maven.springframework.org/release was cached in the local repository, resolution will not be reattempted until the update interval of spring-maven-release has elapsed or updates are forced
Sometimes I get the "protocol_version" error.
I have tried invalidating the cache and restarted the IDE, but still no luck. I am also attaching my pom.xml.

So, i have a WAR when i use this jar as a dependency. I checked in target/mywar/WEB-INF/lib/myjar-2.0.jar and all classes are there but when i try to start TOMCAT i get: ClassNotFoundException in classes of my jar.

Apache Camel does not download files from external FTP

I'm running a standalone camel route.
Running my Main.class in Eclipse->Run-As->Java Application it works fine. The file is consumed and all the route works.
When i do git-clone in my ec2 machine and perform mvn package -> mvn exec:java of the same project it runs normally but only ping the FTP endpoint, not downloading the file.
I checked all the jars in my dependency-jars file(in my ec2) and they are the same as in the Eclipse maven-dependencies(locally)

how to create jar using maven pom.xml

I need an example pom file to create a jar file for my spring project. how to specify to create a directory and folder for resources while creating jar file. I can able to create jar file using the pom. But i need to include my applicationContext.xml in my jar file.

Missing artifact org.springframework.security:spring-security-parent:jar:3.0.7.RELEASE:compile

I am getting a Missing artifact org.springframework.security:spring-security-parent:jar:3.0.7.RELEASE:compile error in the pom.xml when I add the maven dependency for Spring Security but when I remove that dependency the error disappears. Could someone help me understand that why is it happening and how should I add Spring Security 3 added in my application using maven? Thanks.
