I have created custom layouts in my custom theme.The layouts are appearing in Layouts tab in Edit mode. but when i apply a layout to a page and click on save, the layouts are not applying to page.Please help me to resolve this issue

Check if there are any underlying errors in SystemOut.log file on your system. Also pls post the method (in detailed steps) using which you created the custom layout.
You can add a page layout to a page via the layout file itself through WebDav. Open your page in edit mode, open the edit page properties dialog, and click the Advanced tab.
Once on the Advanced tab, you can set the page layout template location using:
dav:fs-type1/path/to/layout/in/theme

i bought one theme and i want to fix my layared navigation to work well.
I need help from which file i have to edit to fix my layered navigation to show after my menu.
First you should find correct template file,then override the template within your theme, then finally rearrange the code so that it displays beneath the vertical navigation. The following may (possibly) work for you. But I don't know what type of theme you are using.
go to your magento backend url, then go to system->configuration->developer then open the debug panel.
Change the current configuration scope to 'Main Website'. Upper left corner of config page.
This should add some items to the debug panel. Set template path hints to 'yes'.
go back to the website and find the phtml file that controls your nav.
copy the file into the theme your using using the same folder structure.
edit that code.
PS another solution may be available to alter the layout files of your site. they get overridden in a similar fashion to phtml files.
When I edit the content in CKeditor, it looks well. but when I display the data on html page. the layout are reset by other css file. How to avoid this? Is it possible to disable show the content in CKeditor without toolbar?
The content.css solve my problem. Add the style to content.css .
ck editor is highly customizable. Go to your CKEditor Directory ckeditor\samples\index.html
Open this file
Click on ToolBar Configurator Button on top right Corner.
Switch to advanced mode. At top right corner there is a switch, toggle it to advanced mode.
Then build your toolbar.
Now click on 'Get ToolBar Config' Button.
Select and Copy the Configuration and Paste it into foll file:
ckeditor/config.js
For CSS issue: Try loading and calling the replace function at end of your html Page.
I see that you can set a cms home page at "Default Pages" at admin panel (system/configuration/web) but I want a whole template including [html][head][body] tags to be shown, is this possible?
I can't do it via (CMS/Pages) as it deletes/modifies the code.. Even when I set it on "empty" don't really understand it..

The file that you want is the layout file. If you need to add new layout of your home page then you can make a new layout file using following link

Then after making layout while creating CMS Page go to layout section and choose your created layout. Then your home page will have what you want.
Note: By default header, footer all these are kept in different file and called from the 1column.phtml etc. So it will be always better to keep it that way only. As we always should follow Magento programming methodology.
I want to add a link somewhere on the components page. I tried the method presented here, while it is indeed working for the WELCOME PAGE, it causes the installer to crash when I'm adding it to the components page.
The thing I want to add is a text that contains an underlined blue word which opens a url on the default browser when clicked on. I want to add it to the existing components page.

I solved it using some help from the nsis forum the relevant links are:

The main issue is that in contrast to welcome/finish page, the components page is not a nsDialog page. In order to dynamically add a label we have to use User32::CreateWindowEx. I used the resource hacker to add a static label in order to get its position and use that as a guide for the new label I added (It's all explained in the links...)
