Caching in Codeigniter - codeigniter

Please provide me an example for caching a webpage in codeigniter. The View page is going to be the same always., i.e., Static View page.
It takes very long time to load a webpage that is often used.

please put htaccess file in the folder and write :
Header set Cache-Control "max-age=29030400, public"
now please put this htaccess file in folder which file you want to make cache.

Inside the view you can add
$this->output->cache(n);
Where n is the number of minutes you wish the page to remain cached
between refreshes.

magento Every Product detail page showing 404

I have shifted from live site to local site, the product detail page is showing a 404 page. I tired re-index multiple time.clear cache. check database also but it still displays a 404 page.
There can be several things you can check:-
1. Check for url in core_config_data and also check cookie url.
2. Check on server for mod_rewrite module may be this is not enabled on local, this can also be the reason if you were using SEO friendly url.
Clear the cache once you are done with these. It will be great if you can tell how url for PDP page is been generated on local.
my url is like this
http://localhost/reyassoc/10x-a4-silver-diamond-brochure-island-stand.html
same it working on existing live site
Run below sql query
SELECT * FROM `core_config_data` WHERE path = "web/seo/use_rewrites";
See whether the value 1 or not, if the value is 1, try to change it to 0.
This value is for SEO friendly url, which removes index.php from your store url.
Also, you can replace your .htaccess file with default one in Magento root folder.
Your server may have problem with mod_rewrite module or its configuration, you may re-install it.

Prevent images querying from passing through index.php

My issue is pretty much summed up in the title of my question. I noticed in debug mode that images querying was passing through index.php (cf: screenshot below ).
Is there a way to prevent that ?
We're using Nginx.
If the request targer does not exist (file/directory does not exists in the file system) then request is redirected into index.php by default.

Url Rewrite of a CMS page in Magento

As a new magento developer I'm using a theme to develop my store. I want to change the URL key of CMS page about. I followed the steps written here but I can't find my layout file for about page on the theme directory or base directory for change XML URL tag.
How can I edit the layout file? Can anyone help me?
Actually that tutorial is a little confusing because there, they are showing an example of changing a URL for two different type of pages (CMS and system).
For changing the URL of a CMS page, like about in your case, it's enough that you proceed until point 12. In short:
First. you change the URL from: (main menu) CMS/Pages/Your_Page -> Url Key: newURL
Then, find the blocks that it is used (e.g footer) and change the URL accordingly.
Plus, in general working in Magento after changing things like page URLs you need to do a reindex and in case of using cache you have to refresh/remove your cached data. Both could be found under System tab (Cache Management & Index Management).

Renaming index.php and accessing other pages in Joomla

I have to do some modifications online on my website, and I don't want the users to see those pages. So I renamed index.php to index_orig.php and I put another index.html that show a message (WebSite under construction) for my users.
My problem is that I want to access online to the rest of my pages to check the modifications until satisfaction, but when I try to access the rest of the pages by their whole URL (404 error is shown).
Example : www.mywebsite.com/floder1/pagetarget.php.
Put back index.php.
In your global configuration, set the site to offline and put up a message and a logo etc (assuming you are on 2.5 or 3). You'll be able to login and see the site.
Please keep in mind that in a database driven cms there are not pages in the way that you would think of them in a static html site. Everything gets pushed into the index.php of your template file.
Update the directory default document on whatever webserver you are using. Also update any rewrite rules that may be pointing to index.php

how to transfer codeigniter site from localhost to live server

I developed a site in codeigniter with basic functionality now i want to update this site to my live server. But when i uploaded my site to live server it shows 404 - PAGE NOT FOUND.
http://www.nawtist.com/test/ams/
Please tell me what do i need to do. I searched a lot about this but i didn't found any helpful information. So is there any base_url or anything else that i need to change before upload this on live server really appreciate
And remember, many servers are case-sensitive and with CodeIgniter v3 you should change the controller's first letter file and model's first letter file to upper case. That worked for me too.
Best
You have problem with your htaccess file or mod_rewrite is disable on that server.
When you go to page with index.php it works (although css file doesn't work because of bad routing)
also check if $config['index_page']=''; if it should work without index.php
I had the same problem times ago and there are 4 points in codeigniter to care about as I remember:
Check base_url value in your "config.php"
Check database settings in "database.php"
Check .htaccess file contents if you have defined it once
Check routes.php if you have defined any custom routes
That's all!
If you are facing 404 page not found in Codeigniter after upload file local to live server then follow these steps
change your controller and file name first letter capital
same change as above in model class and file name i.e first letter capital
After following steps above your problem can be solve Thank you.
