I want to disable beep sound in terminal. Im not able to find an option to disable the beep sound in preferences. Could you please help me out?

UPDATE:
In 10.12 the setting is in Terminal > Preferences, Profiles > Advanced.
In OS X Leopard (10.5 and later)
Open Terminal.
On the menu go to Terminal > Perferences.
Open Settings > Advanced
Un-check the "Audible Bell" option. (You can also set "visible bell" which will cause your terminal to flash instead of beep)
In OS X Tiger (10.4 and earlier):
Open Terminal.
On the menu go to Terminal > Window Settings.
In the Terminal Inspector window click on the drop-down list and select Emulation.
Un-check the "Audible Bell" option. (You can also set "visible bell" which will cause your terminal to flash instead of beep)

I upgraded to Catalina, thumbnail preview stopped working on my desktop.
I tried everything that I know, "Show icon preview" is ticked, Preview app is applied to open all kinds of images, but still just the generic icons appears. This is very frustrating, since I am working with images and video files, that I need quick access to.
Hope to someone help me with this.
I was able to resolve the preview issue by doing following.
In Finder, press Shift ⇧ + Command ⌘ + G and enter ~/Library/Preferences.
Then find com.apple.finder.plist and move it to the Trash.
Right-click on the Finder icon in the dock and select Relaunch.
Press and hold the Option Key
Right-Click or Control-Click Finder in your Dock (maintain holding Option)
Select Relaunch from the pop-up menu (If you don’t see it make sure you hold Option before right-clicking Finder)
If this doesn't work, ensure that JPG files are associated with Preview. To do this, right-click on one of them and choose Get Info. Under the Open With section, select Preview, and then click Change All. You may need to relaunch Finder with this method too.

google drive and other program added functionality
I think that if google drive and the other program to create text files did that, there should be a way to do the same and add the open in terminal functionality.

Yes you can. While in the finder navigate to the folder where you want to open a terminal. Open that folder and right click. One of the options is to open a terminal.
If you want to use iterm there is a 3rd party app named Go2Shell which puts an icon on your finder window. Clicking on the icon opens a terminal window in whatever directory you're currently in. You can set Go2Shell to use iTerm.

It looks more like macOS Toolbar style.

I'm using a mac book pro.
When I'm pressing the upper left corner green button - it makes the window
into full screen and hides the dock bar.
I want my window to be almost full screen - I want the dock bar to remain.
One option is to manually starch it, but this is something that needs to be done every time.
Is there a way of customizing the upper left green button for that?
The functionality you're looking for is known as "zooming" the window. It used to be that the green button did that, but these days it enters full-screen mode instead. If you hold down the Option key when you click the green button, it reverts to the old zoom operation. You can also use the Zoom item of the Window menu. You can also configure things so that double-clicking on the title bar zooms the window, on the Dock pane of System Preferences.

I don't know why suddenly the battery icon disappears from the taskbar and the System Icons settings page is displaying that option as disabled:

In the Device Manager, expand Batteries. Right-click on Microsoft AC Adapter entry and click Uninstall button. Click OK button when you see the warning message to continue uninstalling the driver.
Next, click on Action menu and then click Scan for hardware changes option to restore the missing battery icon.
UPDATE
Go to start and type in gpedit.msc and press enter.
Navigate to expand User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Start Menu and Taskbar and disable "Remove the battery meter".

On my mbp, I open xterm under X11 and I want to paste from the clipboard. However, command+v doesnt work and there isnt even an option from the edit menu. Is this not possible? If it is, how do I enable it?
Alt + left mouse click should do the job if the button mouse emulation has been enabled.

Have you tried the Pasteboard settings in X11? Also, a lot of keyboard shortcuts for X11 actually use ctrl instead of Command (like in GIMP and Inkscape).
