As the problem described in
Can't run a ruby hello world application in Aptana.
The answer says it is fixed in 3.0.4. But I still got the same error c:\ruby\bin\rubyw.EXE: Permission denied -- C:/ruby/bin (LoadError).
Is there any solution to this problem?
I think the main reason of this problem is cause of your computer security level.
So you need to decrease your security level
OR
①Change your Ruby installed file (eg. Ruby193 folder) to D Drive or other operating system not installed place.
②and copy your URL until bin folder of Ruby change place .
eg.D:\Ruby193\bin
③
and change and paste the URL that you copied to your computer Path of system variables which having at environment variable setting .

I installed a Joomla 3.6.5 and now I cannot install any packages.
And this is the error I've got :

This happens when I click on 'Add "Install from Web" tab' button too!
I tried reinstalling and upgrading to 3.8.5 but nothing changed! I can install nothing!

Anything related to installation error, you should check
Your temp file location is correct or not
Your temp folder has appropriate permission or not.

I have two suggestions.
(1) The problem may be because upload_tmp_dir isn't set in your PHP config.
Look in SYSTEM > SYSTEM INFORMATION > PHP INFORMATION and check if upload_tmp_dir has been set. If not, you need to edit php.ini
On our servers (which use open base dir), the setting is:
upload_tmp_dir=/tmp
Depending on your server configuration, this value could be different for you.
(2) The other place to check is the value in SYSTEM > GLOBAL CONFIGURATION > SERVER
If you haven't already done so, try using the full server path to the tmp directory, rather than say a path relative to your home directory.

The temp folder is not where you have told Joomla it is.

Error: Unable to find install package (and other errors like that)
is nothing more than permissions error check... So, you have to give right permissions to yourself for:
/var/www/html/nameofyoursite/languages,
/var/www/html/nameofyoursite/tmp,
/var/www/html/nameofyoursite/administrator/languages,
/var/www/html/nameofyoursite/administrator/manifest/everythinginmanifestfolder,
/var/www/html/nameofyoursite/administrator/modules,
/var/www/html/nameofyoursite/administrator/logs.
That's it! Now you can install languages and everything else...

Am I supposed to install ruby too? Didn't say something like that in vagrant's site though.
The path to the .bat file you are using (...\embedded\gems\...) suggests that it is ruby related .. and may require ruby for proper executing (the error message you see confirms such suggestion).
Instead, choose vagrant executable from C:\Program Files (x86)\HashiCorp\Vagrant\bin\ folder.
If .bat file is absent -- choose .exe one instead.
I am integrating licensed version of flat-ui-pro with my Rails app.
For this, I am using 'designmodo-flatuipro-rails' gem
My environments are:-
OS - Windows7 32-bit
Ruby - 1.9.3p327
Rails - 4.0.0
twitter-bootstrap-rails - 2.2.8
jquery-ui-rails - 4.0.5
designmodo-flatuipro-rails - 1.1.4.2
I have generated "bootstrap_and_overrides.css" file by bootstrap generator at location "app/assets/stylesheets/". I am not using ".less" files for bootstrap.
I am also not getting Cannot detect twitter-bootstrap-rails install error
and Invalid Flat UI Pro directory error while running the flatUI generating command. It means I am inside the right FlatUI directory.
When I run the flat-ui-pro generate command rails g flatuipro:install ./FlatUI/HTML/UI/Flat-UI-Pro-1.1.4, It is throwing a error

I am getting the same error while passing the FlatUI directory containing PSD and HTML both.
I am not understanding why generator can not recognizing flat-ui.css in the right directory.
I used differ version of gem "designmodo-flatuipro-rails", "~> 1.2.2.0.branch" with the other version of FlatUI-Pro directory (1.2.2) but also getting the same error.

Try changing your relative-path to the Flat-UI Pro Directory to "absolute" in the rails "generate" command, seems to work only for absolute paths!
After getting stuck very much, I found the solution.
I was hitting command in cmd-prompt:-
rails g flatuipro:install ./FlatUI/HTML/UI/Flat-UI-Pro-1.1.4
It will work with Mac/Ubuntu OS as creator of flatui-gem explained in the issue created on github <<Link of Github Issue>>
In Windows, it is mandatory to put the flatui directory out of the project folder.
For example:-
My FlatUIPro directory saved in "D:" drive, so my command will be
rails g flatuipro:install D:/FlatUI
or
rails g flatuipro:install D:/FlatUI/HTML/UI/Flat-UI-Pro-1.1.4
Please check your Flat UI Pro directory... you really are missing demo.css for some reason. Try re-downloading the Flat UI Pro assets from designmodo
I am attempting to work locally on a PHP application which I cloned from the Git repository my partner and I use.
He uses a Mac, and until now I have been working on the app in a virtual Ubuntu Linux environment. Both environments have been able to use Compass polling with the same file structure and files.

All I've been able to find through searching is that it may have something to do with the fact that Windows capitalizes its drive names, although the lack of slashes in the returned path makes me think the problem may be elsewhere.
Does anyone know why I might receive this error in Windows, but not other platforms?
NOTE: I have found a work-around involving installing ruby (and compass) through Windows' command prompt rather than Cygwin, and that should work fine for now. Still, if anyone has ideas, I'm still curious as to what the problem could be.
According to this commit, this is a problem caused by a compass dependency called FSSM. It is used to monitor file changes in compass. A workaround is described in this comment.
It seems that FSSM detects that ruby is running inside a Windows box, and treats paths in the Windows' way (C:\blabla). Commenting out the line 26 of the file <fssm_gem_path>/lib/fssm/pathname.rb makes compass watch work as expected. You can also add
unless path[0, 1] == File::SEPARATOR
to the end of line 26 to make it work.
I thought I'd just provide a little more info to help people find the pathname.rb file.
On the cygwin prompt type:
gem env
This (unsurprisingly) brings up a load of info about your Ruby Gems installtion. Look for the line which specifies the INSTALLATION DIRECTORY. Mine was:
/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8
Now in Windows Explorer navigate to this location but substitute "usr" for your cygwin installation directory. Therefore the above path becomes:
C:\cygwin\lib\ruby\gems\1.8
Once in this location drill down until you come across the fssm gem directory.
Within this [fssm] directory go into:
/lib/fssm/
...and there you should find the pathname.rb file.
Edit it as above and all is well. I hope this helps.

I was running into this same error with a slightly different setup. My project folder was on a network drive (ruby and sass/compass installed locally), and every time I made a change to a .scss file compass watch would crash with similar errors to the OP. I solved the issue by mapping my network drive instead of accessing it directly via the network (right clicked on My Computer and choose map network drive so I could access my remote drive at A:).
Now, instead of doing 'compass watch //SERVERNAME/My_Project' (I'm using Git Bash), I do 'compass watch a/My_Project' and compass stopped crashing.
Hope that helps someone else.
Using Cygwin, re install a compass dev release (such as 0.13+). Works for me with Compass 0.13.alpha.4 (Markab)
To do so:
gem uninstall compass
gem install compass --pre --no-rdoc --no-ri
Just upgraded to RC1 of RM 3.2 on MacOS Lion and couldn't run the application anymore. Running with rvm. On startup the mysql2 gem reported it couldn't find libmysqlclient.18.dylib on a dlopen.
Solved it. Posting the solution here so it will help somebody save some time.
Using Apple's Property List Editor create an entry in ~/.MacOS/environment.plist call LD_LIBRARY_PATH and set the value to /usr/local/mysql/lib or whereever your MySQL libraries live.
Logout and log back in and RubyMine and the mysql2 gem are happy again.
I got around this by adding this to the environment variables section of the RubyMine server instance.
1) Open Run/Debug Configurations for your server
2) Click on the "..." next to "Environment Variables"
3) Add "DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH" as the key and "/usr/local/mysql/lib/" as value (path from using .dmg MySQL install)
There have been several solutions suggested, but I think the best solution is the last one I suggest:
1) Editing Environment Variables in the Run/Debug Configuration
This works but you have to keep doing for every single configuration, which is a pain. It also doesn't fix the problem if you are running outside of RubyMine.
2) Editing the .MacOS/environment.plist
This seems to not be supported anymore in later versions of OS X.
3) Setting the DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable in the .profile/.bashrc
export DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH=$DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/local/mysql/lib/
This fixed the problem on the console, but RubyMine doesn't seem to load the environment from .profile/.bashrc.
4) Symlink the libmysqlclient.18.dylib into /usr/local/lib
This is what Homebrew typically does, which is to create a symlink for the dylib that cannot be loaded.
ln -s /usr/local/mysql/lib/libmysqlclient.18.dylib /usr/local/lib/libmysqlclient.18.dylib
You only need to do this once and you're done.. and it works globally, in the console and in RubyMine.
