Rebar control, what causes a RBN_AUTOBREAK notification to be sent - windows

One of the notifications sent by a rebar control is RBN_AUTOBREAK.
I have a generic event handler for a rebar control and I want to test for RBN_AUTOBREAK. But, I can't figure out how to get the control to send that notification. Does anyone know what combination of things would cause the notification to be sent?

Is there a way to suppress incoming notifications in Xamarin (iOS)

At work I have to modify an existing Application to differentiate incoming push notifications by the language of the news.
In Android I found a way to not send the push notification. So I could easily check for the language and only send the right one.
In iOS it seems a little different. (I'm not the Author of the existing code, so maybe I have overlooked something.)
But I can't find any function where I could intercept the incoming message.
I tried functions like UNUserNotificationCenter.Current.RemoveAllPendingNotificationRequests();
and
UIApplication.SharedApplication.CancelAllLocalNotifications();
But without any success... maybe I put them into the wrong place.

If I understand your question, the answer is it depends.
If you cannot change the push notification on the server, then no. The system will display it as soon as it arrives as it is formatted as the notification that needs to be displayed.
However, you can change the format of notification payload so that it doesn't display but it is rather processed by the application. Then you can process it in the app similar to what you do on Android.
I don't want to change the notification. I just don't want to show
it...
I don't think it is possible to choose which notification to show when your app is not running.
If your app isn't running then the notification is processed by iOS and your app doesn't get called.

How to subscribe to a notification stream for packet_In processing?

I am writing an external application that uses REST to communicate with open-daylight. I need to get a notification whenever a new communication between two nodes is needed.
I've checked how to subscribe for event notification in the following link. But I am not sure if this is possible for a packet_in event.
Is it possible to get a notification of the new connection packet_in, with/without some information about the packet?
What would be the path used to create-data-change-event-subscription? also, how can I check all available events and paths that I can make use of?
I believe the "packet_in" event is a yang notification however the REST notification subscription mechanism is for data change notifications. Unfortunately there is no mechanism currently (that I know of) to subscribe to yang notifications over rest.

how to track sent message event in windows phone?

Is there a way in windows phone to track sent message event? i mean to say that whenever a message is sent then a function of my application execute
all i want is to execute a function whenever sent message button of windows phone is clicked?
If you open the message launcher (I don't remember the exact name), it'll open this screen and you have the event (something like application deactivated) and once the user sends the message, the screen should close and come back to your app (again another event is available at that point, activated).
So you'll have to play with the events to do something you like, IIRC there is no call back when the message button is clicked.

There is no API that notifies you if a message was sent (at least no open API). A similar question was asked here.

Handling Toast and Raw Push Notifications

My WP7 app needs to handle different types of push notification. Some of these are only relevant when the app is running but one type serves as a prompt to the user to start the app as well as needing to be handled while the app is running. Hence, when opening the push channel, my code calls BindToShellToast and registers event handlers for when both raw and toast notifications are received:

Looking at the certification requirements, it appears that I have to provide a user setting to allow them to enable/disable not only push notifications in general, but also specifically toast notifications. See Additional requirements for specific app types for Windows Phone (requirement 6.2.1)
Since the user could potentially enable general push notifications but disable toast notifications, it seems to me that my server would need to send both a raw and a toast notification for the type that needs to be handled when the app is not running. This would make registering for the ShellToastNotificationReceived event pointless. Is my thinking correct here?
You should store a settings on your server for each registered device naming what type of notification the user allowed.

How do I hook another applications events?

I'd like to hook the event that is triggered when an application is trying to notify you of something (when its icon background turns orange and starts flashing) so that I can create my own custom notifications (like getting a text message or email)
For example I'd like to have an event triggered when I receive an instant message on my computer that will send a message to my phone so I can respond appropriately.
How would I go about doing this?
Preferably I'd like something that could hook any notification event (then do the filtering inside the application, and something that works on windows XP and up)
