I have a Joomla blog layout set with (1) Leading article (9) intro articles and (2) columns.
The problem I am having is that on the 2nd row of intro articles only (1) intro article appears in the 2nd row. 1st row and subsequent rows are fine.
I have deleted and replaced the article and images. I also added and reordered the articles but the same results.
I do see that in the div tag it is showing class="item column-2 span6" which I believe should be column-1 of the 2 column display.

Any suggestions on what avenue to take would be appreciated.
I'm not sure what's up (that template has an override so it's hard to know) but the first row has columns 0,1,2 which is why the third one is wrapping around. The other rows only have 1,2.

I have a static website, which I want to make editable by the client. So, I decided to rebuild the website using Joomla. The current static home page uses Zurb's Foundation to display the contents in the following layout.
1st Row: 1 column,
2nd Row: 2 columns,
3rd Row: 1 column
Using Joomal, I have thought of the following options.
the whole page is 1 article: the client would need to understand html, to be able to maintain div's and classes. Isn't it?
Each column on the page (1 column on the 1st row + 2 columns on the 2nd row + 1 column on the 3rd row) is an article that the client can edit. In effect, the page displays the full contents of 4 articles in the above layout.
I think the 2nd option is the way to go. However, I could not figure out how to display multiple, FULL, EDITABLE articles on the same page. I looked at the extension (Articles Anywhere - https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/articles-anywhere). However, it seems that although this extension can display articles, they won't be editable by authorised users.
Your effort and time to answer my question are highly appreciated...
Throughout the last few days, I managed to achieve what I asked about. I thought of documenting it here for the benefit of others.
Let's say we want to create a page, which looks like the following.
1st Row has 1 column: Part-r1-c1
2nd Row has 2 columns: Part-r2-c1 & Part-r2-c2
3rd Row has 1 column: Part-r3-c1
Basically, you need to do the following.
Create a template having module positions for each "Part" of your page layout. Let's call this template "Custom Template". So, you will need to create 4 positions:
Part-r1-c1
Part-r2-c1
Part-r2-c2
Part-r3-c1
Creating a custom template is an involved process with quite a learning curve. You need to be patient until you understand how Joomla templates work. I suggest referring to the official documentation and some tutorial videos/articles. I found the following useful.

As an alternative to creating your own template, you can use a Template Extension (or framework). I like T3-Framework http://www.t3-framework.org/.
However, in my opinion, investing time in understanding how Joomla templates work has much higher return on investment than understanding how to customise/customize an existing framework. To build your own template, you need to be comfortable with changing php and xml files though.
Create an empty article, and call it something like "Dummy Article".
Create a menu item for your page, e.g. "Services". The type of this menu item should be "single article". Choose the "Dummy Article", which you created above, as the article to be displayed. Assign "Custom Template" to this menu item.
Create an article for each Part of your page, in which you will write the contents, which your customer would be able to change.
Create a module for each Part, and assign it to the related position of the layout, and insert the related article into this module. Inserting articles into modules is not part of standard Joomla (at the current version 3.6.4). To insert articles into modules, you need to use a Joomla extension, like https://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension/news-display/articles-anywhere/.
That's it.
I discovered the need for another feature, which I missed asking about in my question. I wanted to make some Parts, which are not editable by the customer. Here's how I did it.
Create a category for articles, which you don't want your customer to change. Let's call it "Protected". Change the permissions for this category to Deny access to Editors (with the assumption that you are going to provide your customer with an Editor User ID.)
Create articles for each Part of your page, in which you will write the contents, which your customer CANNOT change. Categorise these articles as "Protected."

To display multiple articles on a page you can use the category blog view or the featured view or (with customization) the tagged items view. However you must not use "read more" within the articles. Make sure that the option to display edit icon is turned on and that you are logged in as a user with edit privileges for all of the articles in question. If you are an administrator, publisher or editor by default you will have these.
I have a problem with a rdlc page breaking and table with multiple detail rows. Tried everything that crossed my mind, none works.
As you can see on the picture below, the table has 7 detail rows.
Now, when report is rendered, the page gets spitted between, for example, rows 2 and 3 which is bad.
I wish to keep all of detail rows (that belong to one record) on the same page. How can I accomplish this?
I think you should create a group based on whatever joins the one record together, let's call it PlaceID. So right click, Add Group, choose what to group by.
Then, under the row groups you should have a group by PlaceID, and underneath that, a row marked "Details". Highlight Details in the lower section, which should highlight in the report the rows involved. Set the KeepTogether property of that section to True, should keep details on the same page.
If you don't want to use the Group option mentioned by Jerry, this option in the Table Properties may help...
I have use one sub-report in main report with use of jasper Reports. sub-report is print half of is in one page and other half in next page. but i want to print it is in single page. Please help me.
You can set SplitType to equal Prevent in the detail band properties, but that only prevents a band from splitting from page to page, forcing it to begin on the following page of your report. If the output of your sub-report is naturally longer than the page height you have set, then this will just force the sub-report to begin on the following page. I do not think this would be a desirable outcome since in that case the subreport would still populate two separate pages (actually 3 if you include the resulting blank first page).
All that said one solution would be to check off "Ignore Pagination" in your main reports properties. This will ensure that your entire report is viewed as one single page, but this causes problems when printing or PDF'ing.
You are a bit vague in your question, but its also possible that the detail band height is too high. IReport is "pixel perfect" so if the subreport element begins in the middle of the band then that is where it will start. Also if you have title, page header, or column header bands that are not being used, these will result in unwanted white space.

I currently have a detailed report to design:
A report which has different header-footer-detail for the first and rest of the pages. I tried to overcome the challange by using 2 Master Pages (not quite achieved anything yet) but I am stuck at the point which row count of 1st and rest of the pages... 1st page has 20 rest of the pages have 35 rows. Namely the question is:
"How can I set different pagebreak intervals for the table for each page?"
PS: BIRT version: 3.7
Edit: I've tried to create a group on row number and put a filter on row number to maintain flow between 2 different tables but no luck. (It didnt make real sense to put row filter but tried anyway :))
What you may need to do in the body section of your report is create a grid of one column and two rows. In the advanced properties for the upper cell, look under the section property for the Master Page setting, set that value equal to the name of your first master page. Place your report contents in that cell and set the master page references to your first master page as well. Repeat this for the second cell and references to the second page. Your table(s) have an advanced property for page break interval that you can adjust to control how many rows go on a page.
However if you want your table data to flow continuously from the first page into the second page and onward, I am not sure if this is possible but will update my answer if I find a way.
So I have a page that is split into 2 columns. The left column there are expandable forms that are quite long to ask the user optional product preferences. On the right side of the page there is a much shorter, 'contact details' form.
The contact details form is mandatory while all the left product preferences forms are optional. The behaviour idea is that as the user scrolls down to complete the left column optional forms, the page will only scroll the left column - the contact details forms displayed in the right column stay in place beginning. I'm having trouble implementing this and I haven't found a solution yet or any examples of pages with this split column behaviour online.
Any advice / suggestions?

Depending on how involved your layout is, you can use css fixed positioning so that as the page scrolls down, your right column stays in the same place.

You can put the contents of the longer (left) column in a container div, and make that div independently scrollable using the overflow attribute.
