In the site I develop, users can login to my website using facebook/google login.. Once the user login I want to prompt the user to update his profile with mobile number and verify it. In the backend I keep a field in DB which says whether the mobile number is verified or not.
So if the mobile number is not verified; for every login I want to prompt the user.
I tried profile completeness/force complete profile.. But couldnt achieve what I needed..
Any help appreciated..

I'm having trouble with Microsoft Teams in the sense that I does not recognise my username and password that I enter in my application. I'm able to get my application to display inside the Teams page, but when I capture my username and password, Teams re-display the login screen. I'm using asp.net core identity framework to authenticate my users.
When I add [anounamous] tags to my controllers, it's possible to navigate to those pages. But anything that is not decorated with [announoumus] will force me back to the login screen and then Teams does not recognise the login details.
It is as if it does not know how to read the information in the cookie.
I'm able to load the manifest.json file without any issues, then select the page to display on the Team Tab. But when I try to navigate to a "restricted" page that requires my user to be logged in, Teams display my login page.
Below is a link to the Manifest file if anyone is able to help: dropbox.com/s/wxw3xtk1458blbu/Ezymapps.zip?dl=0
I have to integrate facebook login in an e-commerce website made in X-cart 4.7.6. There are no add-ons available for this version and I am not able to bypass login validation, I wanted to log user in just by using fb id. Until now , i have been successful in fetching permissions and data from Facebook when user clicks on fb-login button and check that if the particular user is an existing user or a new user. Based on this the data is entered into existing database.
Now I have been trying to set ($allow_login) true and bypass all visible login validation from all files i guess. But yet it doesn't work. Suggest me some ideas or ways to make it work.
You say that there is no ready-made module, but actually it exists: it is included in X-Cart GoldPlus by default, but if you use a "younger" package called X-Cart Gold, you may purchase this addon separately for $99: https://market.x-cart.com/addons/social-login.html
I am a web developer making a mobile app. I have a Ruby on Rails backend for the mobile client. When a user signs up, it needs to create a new user or sign in; then it needs to fetch data for the user.
I don't want to require them to enter a username and password. It just should be seamlessly associated with their device/phone number/FB account/whatever.
If I got it right,
you can either use Facebook API or normal logging form. Then just make sure to enable automatic logging in and user won't have to enter data.
I am developing a MVC5 application for the DOE. We use windows authentication to login to our computers. I need help getting the users Name when logged in to be display "Welcome, Username"(across all pages) when they navigate to site. My problem is that when I navigate to the page it displays our ID which is what we use to login, i.e. i5456 and password. It would be much appreciated if someone would assist me and walk me through how to set this up.
I have already disabled Forms auth and enabled windows auth in VS 2013. I have tried using #User.Identity.Name in my SiteLayout, but like I said the ID is the only thing displayed. I'm not sure how to setup my model or view, or if I even have to. Is there a way to retrieve the Username so it can be displayed instead of the ID?
Try this #User.Identity.GetUserName() in your view
works for me
I'm working on a site that requires the user have a unique username to use all services on the site. They cannot self-change this username for community fairness.
We would like to allow users the simplicity of registering/logging in using their facebook accounts, but this username requirement is obviously a hurdle.
The only idea I have come up with is after the connect process, send the user to a final step page where they enter a username. The only downside to this is that the user has the ability to navigate away before entering a username, meaning we need to add further layers of checks to several site functions to ensure a user has a username, and prompt for one if not.
Any ideas on how to streamline this during the connect process? Any site examples of similar implementations where auxillary info is required to use some or all site features?
Have you looked at Facebook's registration plugin?
The Registration plugin allows users to easily sign up for your
website with their Facebook account. The plugin is a simple iframe
that you can drop into your page. When logged into Facebook, users see
a form that is pre-filled with their Facebook information where
appropriate.

The plugin also allows you to add custom fields so you could simply add your username field.
There are a load of advanced features including validation, here's an example in the Facebook documentation that includes the username field and checks to see if it's available
