I am using netbeans 8.0 it shows auto-complete for zend framework but not for codeigniter. How can I use it with codeigniter for auto-complete support???
Thanks
Copy the code in the answer here: Netbeans code completion for CodeIgniter
into a php file in your project.
I used CI_Autocomplete2.0.php in the root of the project. It's a hack, but it does work. Since I'm familiarizing myself with CI's syntax & naming conventions it does what I want.
I successfully installed one of the Kenai 7.3 modules in 7.4, but the other one they show on the webpage wasn't listed in the plugin options, so I uninstalled it and now I can't get it to re-install again. I haven't tried it in my NetBeans 8 yet though.
Edit: Sorry, I just figured out that the Kenai modules were both listed. The "PHP CI Framework Repository" installed ok (don't know what, if anything, it did yet). It's the "PHP CI Framework" that won't install and lists out a bunch of module dependencies. I'll update again if there's anything to add when I try with Nb8.
You can do this using Project Kenai. Hope that's what you're looking for.
use sublime text editor 2 or 3 and install CI:snippets you will get dropdown for the codeigniter or check this link

I need to migrate an old website witch is using Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 3.x.
I updated Joomla to 1.5.26 and I decided to buy and use tool jUpgradePro from https://matware.com.ar/subscriptions/jupgradepro-subscription.html .
I configured everything and I'm trying to start migration but there's one problem and I need Your help.
When I start using cmd of jupgradepro there's one error message after using command composer install.
Cannot update only a partial set of packages without a lock file present
What can I do with this problem, any Issue? I was trying to search something in web, but finally have to ask You for help.
One thing that I can say is that this example is a test so target domain is a subdomain (http://ernestdolowy.pl/projects/szpital/nowytest/) and source site has just empty test template, is that a problem? Joomla 3.x is well configured on subdomain.
Finally I need to migrate Joomla 3.x to Wordpress but right now I have to solve this problem.
Thank you in advance for your help :)
I got same problem, and found this solution on my local machine:
In Joomla site, xxx\administrator\components\com_jupgradepro I copied the composer.json file to composer.lock
I started composer install command from command line (in Windows, not in built-in jUpgradePro). It installed all dependencies, and in jUpgradePro command line window the check site command worked fine.
Solution:
I need to install an admin panel theme in laravel. Please share any ideas.
Look like there is a project for it.
-> https://github.com/harryxu/laravel-theme
and see "Usage". (only for themes, sorry)
There are packages such as "cartalyst/themes": "3.0.*"
You can insall them by including this in your composer.json
"cartalyst/themes": "3.0.*"
and do
composer update
Here is the link about that.
Also you shall use this and many such are available over github and other resources.
But i would recommend you to put the css and js files in your assets folder and simply use the html in your blades
Recommendation : Still why Laravel 4.2, why not 5.1
https://cartalyst.com/manual/themes/3.0#installation
install composer before. Site to composer is too obvious to put it here
I'm a webdeveloper and I'm starting a huge project requested by a company.
I'm trying to figure out if is best to use a PHP framework or not, and in case, which one.
I know Codeigniter, but I wanted to look around to see what's the best framework at the moment. I found out Laravel is trending at the top so I wanted to try it out.
Being used to Codeigniter I usually download the zip file with all the phps inside and start working. I'm trying to do the same with Laravel but I saw you are to download and use composer to install it.
I'm not really used to the Terminal and I wanted to ask if that's the only way of installing it or if there is a downloadable version as in Codeigniter, CakePHP, etc...
You can always download the ZIPped code directly from project's GitHub site. You can find the base application here: https://github.com/laravel/laravel - you'll find a link at the bottom of the right column. This code is what composer downloads when you use that to setup the application.
If you want to use Laravel you will have to use Composer as this is what the application uses to manage its dependencies. It's not hard, as you'll only need to run a few commands.
You can learn more about how to install and use composer in the docs: https://getcomposer.org/download/
I am new in codeIgniter and trying to do the project in netbeans 8.0. The problem is, I can't download the plugin for codeigniter support. It shows some error like
"Some plugins require plugin PHP Annotation API to be installed."
I checked here for a solution and got this - "http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/184716/"
but the thing which I need is this - "http://alielwafdy.wordpress.com/2012/07/28/codeigniter-support-in-netbeans/".
this supports only up to netbeans 7.3.1
what should I do for netbeans 8.0. Please help
I already checked this question. But it is of Netbeans Version - 7. I am asking this question to find if there is an option in Netbeans 8, So this is not a duplicate
Alternate way,
Create folder "CI_Auto_Complete" in outside the project. (ie. like anther project)
place a php file called "CI_AUTO_COMPLETE.php",
copy and paste the code from http://blog.bobbyallen.me/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/netbeans_autocomplete_codeigniter.txt
Add "CI_Auto_Complete" folder to the include path.
Right on click pjt --> properties --> include path --> Add folder.
Still there is no direct plugin available even though you can use auto complete class which will helps you for auto complete words.
copy the php code from http://blog.bobbyallen.me/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/netbeans_autocomplete_codeigniter.txt
save the file into your CodeIgniter Project’s NetBeans folder (in the root, so in the same folder as project.properties and project.xml)
If you have NetBeans currently open you’ll need to restart it for the changes to take effect!
I've installed Eclipse 4.2 Juno. Now I want to install aptana for developing ruby, but I get the following error,
Unable to read repository at http://download.aptana.com/studio3/plugin/install/content.jar.
Unable to read repository at http://download.aptana.com/studio3/plugin/install/content.jar.
Read timed out
I assume that by now you have probably solved the problem, but I had exactly the same problem and found the solution after many searches, so for the sake of any others searching here...
The URL you need to enter in the 'Install New Software' dialog is
http://download.aptana.com/studio3/plugin/install
The following answer was correct. I just tested it with Eclipse Juno.
Steps:
Open Eclipse
Help -> Install New Software
Add (on the top right)
Enter the following link for Aptana Plugin with Eclipse Juno: http://download.aptana.com/studio3/plugin/install
Click OK
Put a check mark for Aptana Studio 3
Next -> Next -> Finish
download.aptana.com/studio3/plugin/install did not work for me. I am using Eclipse 4.3 based STS 3.4
Instead I got the appropriate update site link from this site Aptana Update Site
This is the link for Eclipse plugin update site http://d1iwq2e2xrohf.cloudfront.net/tools/studio/plugin/install/studio3/3.4.2.201308081736/
There is also a link to download the plugin and install through archive. I have used the above update site link and no problem at all.
Hope that will help others.
Adding this answer in case somebody still gets this error while using the correct URL from JonB's answer (http://download.aptana.com/studio3/plugin/install )
Restart Eclipse and try again.
This appears to be a transient issue, as mentioned here:
Aptana studio 3 cannot contact download.ecplise.org
It worked for me after a retry.
I also gone through same problem. But Following solution works for me,
In Eclipse, go to "Eclipse Marketplace" and search for Aptana 3 and hit the Install button.
Help -> Eclipse MarketPlace
Eclipse Market place - Aptana 3 Studio plugin
I wondered myself whether to install the standalone or the plugin. I tried the plugin based on aptanaès instructions and it failed on the first try.
As usual SO respondents reported this problem.
I restarted Eclipse, and then did the install with Aptanaès URL
http://download.aptana.com/studio3/plugin/install
and it worked.
My environment was Eclipse JUNO,
As of 01/29/18 and Eclipse Photon, none of the URLs listed as answers here work in Eclipse's built-in software sources panel. However, after some trial and error mashing up Aptana's old download URLs with the ones Appcelerator (which bought Aptana in 2015) uses for its own software, I got:
http://download.appcelerator.com/aptana/studio3/plugin/update/stable
This works, is totally plug-and-play, and is obviously official - no need to go off to some shady 3rd party hosting site. I just wish someone at Appcelerator had spent 15 minutes to post it somewhere.
