TFS 2010 Connection Issue - visual-studio-2010

I have been working on this weird issue for a few days now and I'm going to pull my hair out! I have a PC and a server in the default WORKGROUP. I created a new collection and a new project and now I'm trying to connect from my PC to the server via VS2010. When I go to the connect team project dialog box and input my info it doesn't connect!
If I copy the preview http and input that into the browser it works fine! It asks for credinitals and the project comes up without an issue. For the fun of it I installed VS2013 team explorer and it pulls it up without an issue. What's going on here?

In the end I ended up going with VS2013. I'm no longer having this issue.

TF30036: You are unauthorized to access https://

I've found quite a few posts of similar issues, but I still am having trouble getting this resolved.
I have a TFS repository I know I have access to with my Microsoft account. I'm currently using it on my laptop as I'm typing this, and if I go there via chrome, I am having no issues.
I finally got my desktop up and running again, and after a fresh windows/VS 2013 install, I am getting unauthorized when trying to connect to team projects. I'm using the same credentials that are being using through Visual Studio on my laptop, and in chrome.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
Please use below ways to narrow down the issue.
Try to disable the Antivirus software on your desktop
Try to disable your firewall on your desktop and try again
If you are using VPN on your desktop, please disable it.
Clear TFS and VS cache in your desktop.
Clear the account info from the Credential Manager (Control Panel) both in
your laptop and desktop, then try it again.
Team -> Manage Connexions... -> re-select your project
Close Visual Studio > Reboot all servers in the Topology.

Cannot connect to TFS in VS2013 anymore

Over the last few days, I have had a LOT of trouble trying to get VS2013 Ultimate on my PC to connect to my TFS servers...
I will give you a quick rundown on what is happening... I did an update to VS2013 (on my PC only) to 'Update 4' a few days back and that seems to be when the problem started...
At first when I would try and 'connect to team foundation server' I was getting an error (and yeah typical end user, I didnt note what it was), I just assumed that there was a problem with that server, because we have had a few issues with it.. it wasnt until I tried to connect to a different server, that I got the same error. Thats when I realised it wasnt the server that was the problem.
I have done a bit of investigating... I can open VS2010 and connect to both servers no problems at all...
I can open VS2013 and VS2013 on my laptop (which I havent updated yet), and I can connect to both server no worries... so it is definitely NOT the TFS servers...
I found a few threads on here that all said to clear out the cache files in Team Foundation version 5.0 (and I also did 3.0 because it was there), no difference.
I went back into 'connect to team foundation server' and actually removed both of the servers from the list, in the hopes that adding them back in would fix the issue... but no... it now gives me the following error:
TS31002: Unable to connect to this Team Foundation Server: http://xxxxxxxx:8080/tfs. Team foundation server Url: http://xxxxxxxxxx:8080/tfs.
Possible reasons for this failure include:
The name, port number or protocol for the TFS is incorrect. (have checked and they are all correct)
The TFS is offline (definitely not... )
The password has expired or incorrect (I dont even get that far down the track to enter the password)
I decided that I would do a system restore, back to when I installed the update... did that, except for some reason I can only back 4 days, and the update was done prior to that..
I went into control panel and uninstalled the updates... made no difference
I ended up uninstalling VS2103 completely, restarted PC, reinstalled VS2013... went to connect to TFS... same problem...
I really have no idea at all how to fix this... can anyone at all help???

Deploying Umbraco 7.1 to Azure

I created an Umbraco site with Visual Studio by creating an empty web project and installing the Umbraco 7.1 nuget package. During the set up portion, I created an Azure database. Next, I just created an azure website and deployed the code via Visual Studio publish.
Everything works fine on my local machine. The front end of the site seems to work fine on the azure website. However, I am not able to edit anything in back office. I can log in, but none of the button on the left hand side show up. See the attached screen shot.
This is my first experience with Umbraco so any help at all is appreciated.
Wow, I feel stupid. All I had to do was clear my cookies and everything started working. I guess it wrote a cookie that it didn't like when I ran it locally. I don't see how it could even try to access the cookie via the live site.
Anyway, it's working fine now...

Can no longer access TFS from workstation

All of the sudden I can no longer access my TFS 2010 server. It is on the same network as my laptop. I have made no changes to anything. I worked on it one day and then the next day VS2012 and 2010 can't connect. I can also not connect to the web UI from the outside either.
I have VS2010 installed on my server and it can connect just fine. I have looked at my services on my laptop and found nothing about TFS or Visual Studio.
What I have tried.
Restarting the server
Restarting my laptop.
Resetting the TFS user account on my server.
Restarting the web server that TFS runs under.
Checked the server logs for errors.
ipconfig /flushdns
Using VS2010 and VS2012. With all updates.
Turned off Bitdefender firewall.
Firewall on server is turned off.
Ping server name. This works.
RDC into server via same server name. This works.
Connecting to TFS from VS2010 on the server. This works.
I would say this is a DNS issue but I can get to my server just fine except when TFS is involved. It seems like there is a communication issue from an outside source to TFS.
Any ideas on why access from any other source than the server would just stop?
I use Bitdefender too and for my final hope to solve this problem, I went to Control Panel > Uninstall a program > and Repair the Bitdefender, TFS came back!
While Bitdefender was repairing, I was able to access TFS Web site in the same network. Restarted Windows and the problem didn't show up again.
Hope this helps!

m12-073 update causes IIS service unavailable

I am a developer. I have created a web site and service with Visual Studio 2010. I am running a fully patched Windows 7 computer.
I need to be able to debug it with devices other than my dev computer hitting the web server. I installed IIS 7.5 and configured everything to be working. I was able to debug when another device hit the web site on this dev computer.
That was yesterday. This morning I started up my computer and there was an update from Microsoft. m12-073. It mentioned IIS.
When I started working on this project today after doing the update now I get a service unavailable (503) error on any computer or device NOT the dev computer. The dev computer still works fine.
The only change from yesterday and today is the update and rebooting.
I tried uninstalling the update and that didn't fix it. I tried a system restore to before the update and that didn't work.
I am now stumped. It worked yesterday and doesn't work today with only the update being the change.
