Spring Web Flow + Apache Tiles + Ajax - ajax

I want to integrate Ajax and Apache Tiles with Spring Web Fow. Simple flow without Tiles is working fine, but it is throwing NullPointerException after integrating with Tiles.
Here is the Web Flow servlet:

why am I getting "No transactional EntityManager available" on em.persist(...)?

I have a Spring MVC project that is reading/writing to a MySQL database.
Here's my DAO ... the getAll() and getLabByLabId(...) work fine.
When I do a saveLab(...) I get this exception on em.persist(lab) ...

SOLUTION DETAILS:
Here's the solution that worked.
I changed root-context.xml to this:
<context:component-scan base-package="com.mycompany.myteam.myapp" >
<context:exclude-filter type="annotation" expression="org.springframework.stereotype.Controller"/>
</context:component-scan>
And I changed servlet-context.xml to this:
<context:component-scan base-package="com.mycompany.myteam.myapp.mycontrollers" />
Thanks malejpavouk !!
2 different contexts. Root is the parent context, dispatcher is the child one. Child (web) context should contain only beans for the perimeter/www (Controllers).
The mechanics is that child context sees everything from parent context, but the parent context does see beans from child.)
You component scan the whole application in the child context. So my guess will be that tx:annotation-driven will only instrument beans, which are directly contained in the given context (and not those, which are just visible).
So do 2 scans, one for controllers in child/dispatcher context, the second for all common beans in the parent/root.

Spring Boot + File Upload Does not work

I have recently started Spring Boot in my application.
There is a file upload utility that used to work fine when using tomcat8 but after switching to Spring boot its not working.
Below is the code.
JSP
<form id="fileupload" action="/myApp/upload" method="POST" enctype="multipart/form-data">
<table id="files" style="border-spacing:0px 5px;margin-top:5px;">
<tbody><tr>
<td><input type="file" class="btn btn-info" name="files" id="files0"></td>
</tr></tbody>
</table>
</form>
Controller
#RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.POST, consumes = "multipart/form-data")
public String upload(#RequestParam("files") MultipartFile files, #RequestHeader HttpHeaders httpHeaders, Model model, Locale locale) {
LOGGER.debug("Entering upload");
}
Spring Boot Config :
#EnableAutoConfiguration(exclude = { DataSourceAutoConfiguration.class, MultipartAutoConfiguration.class })
#Configuration
#ComponentScan
#ImportResource(value = "classpath:/context.xml")
public class MyApplication {
public MyApplication() {
super();
}
public static void main(String[] args) {
SpringApplication.run(MyApplication.class, args);
}

I have tried #SpringBootApplication on my boot application class, but that didnt help. I am using embedded tomcat.
I have searched various blogs and SO questions but was not able to resolve it.
Please help.
Spring Boot and File Upload works fine. The documentation is available here. With the default configuration, it multi-part file upload works out of the box.
From the code you have posted, I don't think you have configured Spring Boot correctly. Start here. For example, I see that you don't have the #SpringBootApplication annotation in MyApplication which triggers Spring Boot to implement the standard configuration.

I have deleted and recreated the project again. this time modified contents of dispatcher servlet step by step. it is working now. i am able to get the tiles template displayed. i think i have done some mistake in giving name spaces and schema locations earlier. i am attaching the modified dispatcher servlet code here.

I don't know why this error is coming.
Taking a look to the error
Mapped Statements collection does not contain value for com.mycom.myproject.db.mybatis.dao.UserMapper.countByExample
it looks like myBatis is not finding your query. That is probably becuase it is not finding your xml mapped. It should be in com.mycom.myproject.db.mybatis.dao package according with your configuration:
<!-- scan for mappers and will automatically scan the whole classpath for xmls -->
<bean class="org.mybatis.spring.mapper.MapperScannerConfigurer">
<property name="sqlSessionFactory" ref="sqlSessionFactory" />
<property name="basePackage" value="com.mycom.myproject.db.mybatis.dao" />
</bean>
In the project structure, UserMapper.java and UserMapper.xml can be in different folders (if you want to separate xml from java files) but they should be in a package with the same name and they should be combined in the same folder in the war build process because they both should be available in the classpath according with your configuration.
