I am trying to filter data using a text field, However when I specify the available Values to the dataset and field that I am using I recieve this error.
If I remove the Available values, The report runs fine.
I am using Visual Studio Ultimate 2012, with SSRS addon.

The available values can't be populated from the same data source that they are being applied to.
Create a separate data source for your available values and make sure they can populate without user interaction - without their own parameters in other words.

Get the distinct colors list on additional data-set and set it up as default value for your color parameter.
Remember that order of parameters is also important.

How pull in fields value from created parameter

I created a parameter [GroupID] that is used to query several datasets in my SSRS report. It is using the field [GroupID] from my GroupList_Rolling12 dataset. An example of [GroupID] is 77610N. When 77610N is selected, all of my datasets are correctly 'filtering' for this [GroupID].
I now need to create a text box that returns the [GroupName] of [GroupID]. In other words, when 77610N is selected from my GroupID parameter, I want the [GroupName] that is associated with the selected GroupID parameter to display.
I'm still very new to SSRS and cannot figure this out. I tried creating the expression =First(Fields!GroupName.Value, "GroupList_Rolling12") but that did not work since it simply returns the first value from the query.
I also tried =First(Parameters!GroupID.Value(0)) but this also did not work
I also tried this expression =Lookup(Fields!GroupID.Value, Fields!GroupID.Value, Fields!GroupName.Value, "GroupList_Rolling12")
)
Can you please help?
You can reference the parameter label directly like this
=Parameters!GroupID.Label
There is no need to put the index on the end (=Parameters!GroupID.Label(0)) unless your parameter is multi-value, in which case it would select the first selected entry.

Crystal Report not filtering SQL records based on selection formula

unfortunately I'm not an expert of Crystal Report, so I'll post here my question hoping for any help about my issue.
I want to display inside my report the result of a filter on a SQL RecordSet; this RecordSet is looked up from an a single table, of which I want to show some fields of my SQL table, while the filter I want to apply is based on a field parameter (defined static) that I'm trying to set programmatically.
Here below I attached my code where I'm applying the record selection formula, I tried also hard-coding the value instead of passing it through a dropdown selection:

In the first image attached you can find the field parameter definition, while second image is the record selection formula I defined inside my report:
The report always shows all the records of my table (more than ten thousand rows), instead of displaying a filtered RecordSet. The odd thing is Preview function from Visual Studio works like a charm; it prompts the field value, once I confirm the value the viewer displays the report with the rows filtered as I expect..
What am I missing from report/C# program configuration to make the record selection work?

Ok, finally we got the solution to our issue.
We found the CrystalReportViewer object used to display generated reports has 2 different properties, SelectionFormula and ViewTimeSelectionFormula; both has default value set to empty string.
Below I attached the picture of .Designer.cs file with the 2 properties valued:
We commented those 2 properties and the selection formulas and field parameters applied through code / report designer worked again.

Text values are not reflected on dashboard on SonarQube

Hello,
trying to use SonarQube 5.1 for custom measures.
Created several custom measures, including int and text values. Assigned them through custom widgets to project and was thinking the data will appear.
Specified values through web service api.
The values for custom measures are not appearing until you start next scan. How we can have data available immediately as meausre has some data?
After scan the data for integer values appear but not for text values. I see measure with text values are assigned for the project but they are not shown for the project. How to make them visible?

Live field update in form in Access 2013

So I'm somewhat new to access 2013, anyways, I've created a form in access 2013 based directly off a table, so no queries involved if that matters, and what I'm trying to do is just have a text box that updates the total value of 3 different fields as they're entered.
right now it's just a plain-text box, the control source is "=[Search Cost]+[Update Cost]+[Copy Cost]", and if I close the form entirely and reopen the record it updates the text box with the total for all three, but the customer wants it to update in real time. Any suggestions?
I just tried your scenario in Access 2013 on a simple form and it updated for me in real time as I entered values. However, that was because each of the three fields values had a Default Value of 0 in my test table.
So I suspect this is not updating for you in real time because one or more of those values is null while you are entering data in the form. Access doesn't know what [Some field value]+Null should be (it's an unknown thing) so it won't display a calculated value in real time on your form until you provide a value for each of the three fields.
So how can you get around this?
You can add a Default Value of 0 or some other value to each of the three fields at the table level.
Or you could modify your form expression to use the NZ function which will convert any null values to zero. So use this expression:
=Nz([Search Cost])+Nz([Update Cost])+Nz([Copy Cost])
Either of those options should achieve your end goal I believe. They did in my quick tests.

Using parameters in reports for VIsual Studio 2008

This is my first attempt to create a Visual Studio 2008 report using parameters. I have created the dataset and the report. If I run it with a hard-coded filter on a column the report runs fine. When I change the filter to '?' I keep getting this error:
No overload for method 'Fill' takes '1' argument
Obviously I am missing some way to connect the parameter on the dataset to a report parameter. I have defined a report parameter using the Report/Report Parameter screen. But how does that report parameter get tied to the dataset table parameter? Is there a special naming convention for the parameter?
I have Googled this a half dozen times and read the msdn documentation but the examples all seem to use a different approach (like creating a SQL query rather then a table based dataset) or entering the parameter name as "=Parameters!name.value" but I can't figure out where to do that. One msdn example suggestted I needed to create some C# code using a SetParameters() method to make the connection. Is that how it is done?
If anyone can recommend a good walk-through I'd appreciate it.

After more reading it appears I don't need report parameters at all. I am simply trying to add a parameter to the database query. So I would create a text box on the form, get the user's input, then apply that parameter programmatically to the fill() argument list. The report parameter on the other hand is an ad-hoc value generally entered by a user that you want to appear on the report. But there is no relationship between report parameters and query/dataset parameters. Is that correct?
My last assumption appears to be correct. After 30 years in the industry my bias is to assume a report parameter actually filters the SQL data using the given parameter. This is not the case with .rdlc files used by Report Viewer. These report parameters have nothing to do with fetching data. Sounds like this was a design decision on Microsoft's part to completely separate the display of data from the fetching of data, hence, Report Viewer has no knowledge of how data may be fetched. Best way for me to conceptualize this dichotomy is to think of Report Parameters more as Report Labels, quite distinct from the dataset query parameters.
