I upgraded to Yosemite and now Xcode 5 Beta 3 won't run (at all). Is that because it is a beta version? If so, should I install a full release, or go to Xcode 6? I have just been finishing off changes to an iOS 7 app which I wan to submit soon.
EDIT: Tried to install full version of 5.1 but is says it is not compatible with OS.
Downloading Xcode 6 at the moment - will take hours.
Will I be able to use Xcode 6 to finish and publish the upgrade of the 7.1 app, or should I go back to Mavericks?
You cannot submit anything built with beta SDKs, so you will need to update to xCode 5.1.1 either way. It should work on Yosemite, but I wouldn't recommend installing it if you're working on something you want to submit.

I‘m a beginner in Xcode and want to write an app for IOS on may iMac.
My iMac is old and I run the newest macOS version possible which is 10.13.6. The newest Xcode version possible for that macOS version is 10.1 which I installed. And now I‘m stuck, because I learned that the SwiftUI interface is only supported from Xcode 11 on.
I have now two possibilities:
Start working, having disadvantages:
no SwiftUI (only UIKit)
problems with publishing apps for newer iphones (i would have to borrow a newer imac from someone else which is not always available to me).
Scratch together some money and buy a new iMac or Macbook.
1 or 2 ?

After upgrading to OS ventura, I followed the team's advice and installed Xcode 14 beta to continue using it, but when uploading the app to the connect store, it was not possible to send for analysis applications that were sent by xcode beta, what should I do now?
You can only push builds to App Store Connect from a stable version of Xcode. Xcode 13 (the latest stable version) does not run on macOS Ventura so you will need to either revert to macOS Monterey or, if you're working in a team, ask a team member with macOS Monterey to upload the build instead.
If you have a backup (as you should), I suggest reverting to macOS Monterey and installing macOS Ventura on a separate partition as detailed by Apple.

I have xcode 7.0.1 and there is new version of it which is 7.1.1. However, I checked mac store and it received many bad ratings so. Its better to stay with 7.0.1 or 7.1.1
You can rename 7.0.1 to something, stick it on your desktop and then download 7.1.1 and then put them both in your applications folder and test them both out. The biggest addition to 7.1 was tvOS so if you aren't doing anything for that then stay with 7.0.1 until you are comfortable moving up to 7.1.1.

My iOS app is not working in the new version of iOS 9 device. It worked perfectly for my older versions .I am using iPhone 6 and the Xcode doesn't provide the app to be run properly after the new update of Xcode. can anyone suggest any solutions?
You are not able to run because of the new update in Xcode. follow these steps:
open Xcode and click on the target on the left side of your project.
click the info button and custom iOS target properties.Try adding the required support for your app in custom targets.Hope that works for you.

Where to find JewleryBox (ruby rvm gui) that works on 10.6.8?
Current version on web site http://jewelrybox.unfiniti.com/ claims that it works for 10.6.8 but when started notes that it requires OSX 10.7.
10.6 support has been dropped to pave the way for utilizing better APIs in newer versions of OS X. I can give you a copy of the last version that runs on 10.6, v1.3. Keep in mind though that you'll be unable to upgrade RVM past about 1.16 or so because changes were introduced in RVM that broke JewelryBox. Those fixes were added in v1.4, which is only for 10.7 or newer.
Ping me #remear to remind me as I'll need to dig up the old version and place it in a location from which you can download it.
