tfs build server bluescreen - windows

Our tfs build server has bluescreen issue for about 5 days since 8/11/2014.
Everyday morning, I come to office and I find build server has restarted accidently and following event message popup. Say there is a bluescreen issue occurred.
Seems the issue always occur at night. Because during day time, I haven't seen any bluescreen issue and message on build server
TFS: TFS 2012 RTM
Build server: windows 2008R2 with build tools installed, such as VSTS 2012 and vsts 2012 update 3
Build server is a hyper-v 2008R2 VM:

Event log:
Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.
We have run "Debug Diagnostics Tool 2" to dump file: "081514-1848015-01.dmp" . report is following:
WER-31758078-0.sysdata.xml doesn't have any helpful info too.:

After analysis the dump file, we have no idea how to fix it.
Search on google, there is no better reference too. Because the issue is critical for team. we decide to reboot Host server on 8/15/2014.
And till now (8/18/2014) we have seen the "blue screen" issue again.

Following window displays exact version of Oracle 10g forms developer -
Standard forms 10 installation is made for windows XP.
There are some problems opening this installation on windows7.
On oracle support are patches available to fix this problem.
My favorite "solution" is to install VirtualBox, put Windows XP onto it, install Developer Suite and use it without problems. When I change the computer, I simply copy the virtual machine onto a new PC, save myself from yet another (and another, and another ...) painful installation process and use Forms (& Reports) instantly. I'd suggest you to do the same, if you want.

Oracle 12 C Installation Error

I've downloaded oracle 12c on my personal laptop. Check system compatibility (alls good). However, towards the end Im getting an error stating "Oracle Services for microsoft transaction server" denied".
Please assist,
Googling the error message leads to this as the first result:
http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_ins_20802_oracle_services_for_microsoft_transaction_server_failed.htm
Which basically says to ignore the message and run the Database Configuration Assistant manually to finish configuring the database.
When an installation fails, you should check the installation log for more details.
In my case, the log file said "hostname too long", so I shortened the host name and was able to do a successful install.
I faced the same issue recently and it was regarding [INS-20802] Oracle Database Configuration Assistant failed error. I think the solution for it will of help in your issue too.
I tried several of the following methods for resolving the issue :-
Disabling Windows UAC
Disabling firewall
Disabling antivirus - mine was a fresh VM, so disabled Windows Defender
Adding localhost IP i.e., 127.0.0.1 to the hosts file etc.
but none of them helped.
At last I found this, which suggested installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) and this solved the problem in a matter of seconds! I just had to click 'Retry' on the installation dialog.
Do you have local "Admininstrator" rights on the account that your are installing Oracle into?
The Oracle Universal Installer is trying to create the MTS service and access is being denied. This is why I usually don't take the default install, and use the "custom" install and select the components I want. OUI will then work out the dependencies and install the correct components.
With this type of failure, you should have had an option to "ignore/skip" the error and the installer should continue and install the database objects - you shouldn't need to re-install the database objects as the the MTS service component should install after the data objects are created and they are not reliant on each other. Unfortunately the installer status will still show "failed" because of that one component failing.

DataStage 11.3 Assembly Editor flash popup

Our organisation is in the process of upgrading from DataStage 9.1 to 11.3.
Problem: The DataStage 11.3 Assembly Editor fails to display, and falls over with an error.
Backend OS:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.6 (Santiago)
Linux 2.6.32-504.3.3.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri Dec 12 16:05:43 EST 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Client OS:
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (ok, it’s bootcamp Windows running on a Mac). Flash player 16 ActiveX (latest version).
We raised a ticket with IBM and they said it was a flash player problem and we should install the debugger version of flash to get a trace file. After completing the trace, we managed to capture the following error:
RSL Error 1 of 3 (can also be 2 or 3 of 3, in no particular order)
Error #2032: Stream Error. URL: https:/// /ibm/iis/ds/xmlpack3/XMLPackLibrary.swf
Note: There are three swf (flash player) files in that server location. The RSL error #2032 error could occur on any one of the following:
ISD_UI_Theme.swf
XMLPackController.swf
XMLPackLibrary.swf
One important factor in this upgrade is that we have installed the backend of DataStage in the Amazon AWS cloud, and have installed the client tools on our local network. So this should not be factor, given that the client tools access the back via HTTP or HTTPS. Our DevOps guys have said that the domain that is giving us problems is probably our local windows domain (and the security within it). We don’t believe that having the backend on an AWS host is the cause of the problem. We have tried to eliminate the AWS cloud (and our local Group Policies) out of the equation, by creating a Windows 2008 server in the AWS cloud on a Bastion Host, with local administrator access. We had a lot of problems with Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration. We had to force it to turn off by hacking the registry. Once we could get past the IE problems, we managed to replicate the exact 2032 error on the 2008 server as my Windows 7 machine on the LAN.
The only way we can get the Assembly Editor to work is to log in as the local Administrator user on the 2008 server. No other user works, even if they have full Administrator rights and nothing else. We’ve tried everything on this and relaxed all security measures that we can think of. Something appears to be blocking the flash player plugin that is launched from DataStage via a custom Internet Explorer session.
One test that IBM recommended is to access the swf files directly in the browser by substituting the URL :
https:///ibm/iis/ds/xmlpack3/index.html
https:///ibm/iis/ds/XMLPackController.swf
This test works OK, which means that Flash Player is installed and functioning. What is interesting is that the URL prompts for a username and password. That leads me to think that the problem exists in the handshake of credentials between the flash player and the backend and/or what directories the flash player can write to.
Has anybody found a resolution to this problem? Currently our upgrade to 11.3 is at a standstill until we get an answer.
We found a solution to our own problem. There is a setting in Internet Explorer that if turned on, can block the download of the SWF files to the local machine. This can be found in the Security section of the Advanced tab in the Internet options:
Do not save encrypted pages to disk
This setting must be turned off. We had turned it on because it was recommended by SalesForce. If turned on, the SWF files will not be saved and therefore will not execute. The result is an RSL #2032 stream error.
This fixed the problem immediately. Now we just need to apply the setting to our Group Policies for the domain.
I hope this helps other DataStage users. This one had us confused for days!

Installation Error 1935

While installing my msi i get the follwing error
Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {98CB24AD-52FB-DB5F-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}. HRESULT: 0x800736B3. assembly interface: IAssemblyCacheItem, function: Commit, assembly name: Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.42",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86"
I do carry Microsoft_VC80_CRT_x86.msm in my MSI. But the problem is that i do not see this issue in all machines. This is faced only on a 2012 Windows Virtual machine.
Can anyone please tell me why this error would normally come?
I think you have a corrupted windows O/S. Otherwise it is correct to test on VM's configured with a variety of virgin operating systems that you want to support. Additionally I highly advise to never use this merge module. Instead using a bootstrapper/chainer (WiX Burn, InstallShield Setup Prereqs or Suite Installation ) to install the stand alone versions of the redist from Microsoft. This helps draw a line in the sand between a Microsoft problem and a problem with your installer. It also makes upgrade servicing easier.
I got the same error message on windows 7 (32bit).
This was caused by a failure in windows update for my case.
After that, I cannot install any other program on the computer. I searched from internet and found suggestions made by Microsoft engineers: repair the system from Original Installation disc with "update to latest" choice unchecked.
However, I found another simple solution which also works for my case.
1. Click START>> and type “regedit” to run register editor;
2. Find the following directory in register: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control;
3. search by F3 for the key RegistrySizeLimit and double click the DWORD;
4. Change the key value into ffffffff(Hex) or decimal 4294967295, then click OK;
5. restart the computer;
6. run cmd.exe with Administrator's privilege, and type SFC /SCANNOW followed by Enter in command line; this scanning may take several minutes until the status is 100% and finishes;
Then the problem can be fixed!!
I got this error in my Win7x64 VM after I installed .NET Framework 4.5 required by my MSI. I had a fresh OS install with no Windows updates, plus VS2005 SP1. I ran this Microsoft FixIt: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976982/en-us, but it did not help until I restarted the VM. Once I restarted the VM, the error disappeared. I think all I needed was a restart, but I provide the above details in case it was the FixIt that actually fixed it.
On a windows 2016 server, I solved the problem by resetting DCOM security to default
launch dcomcnfg
then set Default Authentication Level to Connect
and Default Impersonation Level to Identify

Windows Azure and FileZilla FTP

I get this problem, when trying to connect to Windows Azure hosted server from my Mac OSX Filezilla FTP Client:
220 Microsoft FTP Service530 User cannot log in
Error: Critical errorError: Could not connect to server
This only started happening as of October 29, 2013. Prior to that, I would get a "Critical error" every now and again, but was always easy to refresh and upload without haste.
I tried CyberDuck and it told me to contact service provider, but has anyone found a solution to this?
We use Windows Azure to host our site, and I run Mac OSX. Surely, this would have always been a problem before and not have just sprung up recently for this reason alone (Windows vs Mac) right?!
