I run a Joomla website which is updated to the last version, 3.3.4 stable.
But when I try to save an article or manage old ones it takes too much time to have the job done and my servers 8 GB RAM usage jumps at 100% and after that the website goes down.
The server has this hardware properties:
RAM: 8GB
CPU: AMD Athlon DualCore(2x 3000 MHz)
HDD: 500GB it has used only 50GB until now

I have a Mac OS X with 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM and when I start unreal engine it complaints about Low RAM and asks that for best performance I should have at least 8 GB of RAM.
I'm not sure why is this is case, is it possible that its getting a lower share of RAM or something similar?
The Unreal Editor version is 4.7.5
Edit: The processor is 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, and is 64 bit.
Edit: The graphic processor is Intel Iris Pro 1024 MB.
Why would UE4 not be able to access all of your RAM? I do not consider that case very likely.
Also, I would not worry about the RAM usage of UE4 too much. I do a lot of work with the engine and it rarely uses more than 3GB of RAM. Just make sure that your system as a whole has enough RAM for the running processes to prevent swapping.
Anyway, the bottleneck in your system is probably the graphics processor, so if your engine runs too slowly you should reduce the performance setting inside the engine.
My development machine has a 128G SSD. I recently upgraded to VS2013 Ultimate, and found that it ate 7.3G of it. In comparison, my VS2010 takes up just over 500M.
I cannot imagine why this is so much larger, and suspect I have a bunch of stuff on here I don't need. Does anyone have any way to characterize where that space is going, and what I might be able to do to get some of it back?
No, you cannot.
Per the Microsoft website, VS 2013 requires 20GB.
Hardware requirements
1.6 GHz or faster processor
1 GB of RAM (1.5 GB if running on a virtual machine)
20 GB of available hard disk space
5400 RPM hard disk drive
DirectX 9-capable video card that runs at 1024 x 768 or higher
display resolution
I am surprised that you're around 7GB
Maybe you should look at VS2013 Online Advanced, if you're really interested in HD space:
Hardware requirements
1.6 GHz or faster processor
1 GB of RAM (1.5 GB if running on a virtual machine)
5 GB of available hard disk space
5400 RPM hard drive
DirectX 9-capable video card running at 1024 x 768 or higher display
resolution
I Google so that you don't have to™
i would like to migrate to dymanics technical, i going to install dynamics in my laptop which has 500 gb hardsisk,4gb ram,win 7,icore 3 processor will it be okay for the software ? some saying it will got hangup and gives slow response am ready to upgrade hard disk and ram too , give me a better idea whether to buy a external hdd or to upgrade my laptop,Help me out got stuck
Thanks in Advance
According to the system requirements (a link to which could also be found on the AX 2012 download web pages: CustomerSource and PartnerSource),
Server - 8 GB RAM is the minimum, 14 GB is recommended.
Client - 2 GB RAM is the minimum, 4 GB is recommended.
If you have acces to PartnerSource you can download an image of the virtual machine with AX 2012 demo and solution demos.
Hi I was wondering if anyone has some recommendations to set up my cluster. Its mainly for own learning purposes. I am scraping news articles and want to try out some machines learning stuff for clustering etc. My data is around 1-10 GB.
At my disposal I got
Macbook pro with and SSD/ 8GB Memory / i5 (2 cores)
Macbook pro with and SSD/ 8GB Memory / i5 (2 cores)
Desktop PC with ubuntu 1.5 TB of HDD Space / 8GB Memory / i5 (4 cores)
My idea as of now is to use my macbook as a master node and set up 2-4 slave nodes via vm on my desktop pc. Maybe I can get 8-16 gigs extra memory.
I am not so much concerned about performance.
Or should I drop my idea and go the Amazon EC2 route?
Thanks in advance
If your data is less than 10 GB and performance is not a concern, the configuration that you have should be good enough to run Map Reduce / or many of the machine Learning programs. I had set up a 2 node cluster at my home on the laptops that are no match(less Memory and same cores) to the configuration you have and I could run my complex hadoop jobs at a considerable pace. Instead of shedding some money on Amazon EC2 you can go ahead with this.
I'm the Accurev administrator at work. I have one of my users on Mac OSX that is having really bad performance - it takes about 45 seconds between launching the app and displaying the login screen. It takes 8 seconds to run "accurev info". Our server is version 5.3a and the client is version 5.3b. We had the same issue on version 4.7. We opened a support case a month ago and have had a lot of back and forth.
Here's the hardware information
Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac11,3
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.93 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 8 MB
Memory: 8 GB
Processor Interconnect Speed: 4.8 GT/s
Boot ROM Version: IM112.0057.B00
SMC Version (system): 1.59f2
Here's the output from "accurev diag"
Basic CPU : 108233.76
Host name resolution : 286.69
Memory : 582.40
Guaranteed disk write : 135.52 MBytes/sec
Network read : 11.20 MBytes/sec, 11472.14 KBytes/sec
Available network bandwidth is equivalent to typical 100Mbit LAN
Network write : 10.72 MBytes/sec, 10973.83 KBytes/sec
Available network bandwidth is equivalent to typical 100Mbit LAN
All other application are really quick on this machine. I have a Macbook Pro with an i7 and 4GB Ram and accurev works great on it. That said, I'm not a Mac expert.
I'm at a loss and this user is really becoming frustrated. Do any of you have suggestions?
Thanks in advance for reading this question.
Could you post the support case ID so I could look into the history? My first inclination would be to isolate if it's the accurev client in general or limited to the Java GUI. How long does it take run commands like "accurev show -fx depots" from a command shell, compared to opening the list of depots in the GUI, for example?
If it turns out to be the AccuRev client in general, is it possible that there is some kind of duplexing going on from the client machine over the network? I've seen this happen via VoIP phones. The "accurev diag" output makes this seem less likely though. Have you tried having them delete their "preferences.xml" file that lives in the user's .accurev directory under their home directory?
Just some thoughts...
