I am working on a Parse app and I need it to run a background job once a day that gets data from a site and stores it into the database. However, the job always gets stuck at "Pending." It is claimed to be resolved at facebook, but it doesn't work for me. Here's the code:
Parse.Cloud.job("myJob", function(request, status) {
console.log("Working");
status.message("Working!");
});
It correctly shows the job, and I can run it, but it always gets stuck on "Pending." I waited for three hours, still pending. Used a different app, no luck.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks!
Corresponding Bug Report on Facebook.
You have to call status.success(); or status.error(); at least once. After that it will update the status.

I just pushed my new updates on play store and all over sudden am getting this error, I have tried to research online for answers but I get non, any help what this error means and how to fix it?
Any help and guidance on how to fix this is highly appreciated
I'm glad to see others have been impacted and it was not just me!
It seems to be a bug with the Google review system. Best thing to do is contact them via the link to their form in the footer of the email you received.
Update 2:
I did not take any action and passed the review process today.
Update 1:
I received the reply I have screenshot below, which does not help much. I asked what the notification was about and he did not address the issue at all, so now I don't know what to do. However he did confirm that my app was currently in the review queue, so maybe we just need to wait. Maybe the email notification with errors can be ignored. I will wait a few days to see if my app passes review without taking any further action.
I've just updated my Data Safety forms adding Device or other identifiers because my app request Ad Id, BSSID etc.
I've faced the same issue, and the solution is :
You need to check if you're using third-party libraries (in my case, IronSource and AdMob) that collect the user data.
If you're using IronSource you need to fill the Data Safety from here :
https://developers.is.com/ironsource-mobile/general/google-data-safety-questionnaire/
After you fill the Data Safety, hit the save button and wait for the review to complete.
Client company just upgraded to 2016 from 2011. I've been testing the plugins to make sure they all still function and I've finally (after much frustration) figured out what is happening, but no idea why or how to resolve this.
I have several plugins and they all function exactly as expected - as long as the updates to the data are not run through the forms.
Let me explain:
I have plugins (Synchronous) that trigger on a change to a field. If the field is changed via a workflow, or some other coded process, everything runs just fine.
But when I update the field on the form it's self. It fails with a very generic error (below).
I support a couple of other clients already on 2016, and I'm not experiencing this same problem. So I'm not even sure where to begin. I've been going crazy here the last couple of days to check the code. But it only happens when updating the field on the form. Every other method of updating the data that I have tested works with no errors.
I also have another issue. When the field is updated (through a test workflow), it runs and updates a child record. The child record then has a workflow that runs to deactivate the record. The workflow says it ran and deactivated the record, but it never deactivates).
Anyway. if ANYONE has ANY idea at all about what could be causing this. I would love to hear it. I'm at my wits end on this.
Thank you in advance.
I've tested the code and had it run successfully, as long as I don't update the field through the form. To test this I created some test workflows that update the data, they successfully run and the plugins fire off with no problems.
EntityReference contact =
(EntityReference)preImageEntity.Attributes["ipmahr_contact"];
QueryExpression cn = new QueryExpression("ipmahr_recertification");
cn.ColumnSet = new ColumnSet("ipmahr_contact", "statecode");
cn.Criteria.AddCondition("ipmahr_contact", ConditionOperator.Equal,
contact.Id);
cn.Criteria.AddCondition("statecode", ConditionOperator.Equal, 0);
EntityCollection results1 = server.RetrieveMultiple(cn);
if (results1.Entities.Count > 0)
foreach (Entity a in results1.Entities)
{
a.Attributes["ipmahr_deactivaterecertificationrecord"] = true;
server.Update(a);
}
The code is pretty straightforward in most cases, and works fine as long as things aren't updated on the form.
Here is the error: Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault]: System.ServiceModel.CommunicationObjectFaultedException: #595EB751 (Fault Detail is equal to Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault)., Correlation Id: fd1a79ca-c846-407b-b578-ac9207d6dd0e, Initiating User: 274d55dc-3f4d-e811-b30f-0050569142af Exiting Recertifications.Main.DeactivateUsedRecertificationsonEndDateChange.Execute(), Correlation Id: fd1a79ca-c846-407b-b578-ac9207d6dd0e, Initiating User: 274d55dc-3f4d-e811-b30f-0050569142af
New information. I have found that not all the plugins I've written have an issue on this server. This is good. But I also found that there is a commonality on those plugins that do fail.
Any plugin using a Query Expression fails with the generic error. Adding robust error checking didn't show anything (once error checking was added, it just didn't run anything, and didn't produce any errors in the logs). Trace logs didn't show anything significant either.
So now I'm wondering if there is something in the way the Query Expression is formatted, or if there is an issue with the SQL. I mention SQL because I found this morning that if I create fields too fast, I get a generic SQL error. Wait a minute and I can create new fields without a problem.
I think it likely that this plugin is not actually failing based on the error you are receiving and the fact that it happens conditionally. More likely, your server.Update(a); call is resulting in a failure within a secondary plugin or workflow action triggered by update of the Recertification record.
- Comment out that line and verify that the plugin works
- See if you can reproduce a failure by directly updating that field on the Recertification record
- Review plugin/workflows running against the Recertification entity
Most likely this has one of the following root causes:
- A security issue based on different executing users between the form update or workflow update
- Other tangential fields are being updated by one or the other of those two methods which subsequently cause different behavior in a secondary plugin/workflow
We're using "burst_pdf" conversions and they have been working fine until recently.
However, since two days back all jobs fail, and looking at the Blitline dashboard we see that queued jobs fail with the following error:
"Image processing failed. comparison of String with 1.2 failed"
Also, the error messages say:
"Original Photo Metadata -> null", but I'm not sure if that's related to what's causing the errors.
The original submissiosn to the queue work just fine and we get a valid response back from Blitline. However, we no longer get any postbacks, even though I was expecting one even if a job fails (to notify us that an error occured)?
Have reached out to Blitline for help but haven't heard anything back yet.
Turns out this was due to a Blitline bug which has since been fixed.

I'm currently in China,
my server is based in the US,
for the above website, when I try to remove and create new jobs in the
basic CRUD layout, I'm getting quite a few timeouts, and sometimes just failures,
can anyone tell me if they are getting the same issue from the US/ a different location,
also is there any way to resolve these Ajax timeouts, is this a PHP/CODING/DATABASE issue,
or is it something else
I tried to remove a JOB it was fine but with adding I Had troubles but no time out(Cyprus).
Ok I added a Job but it taking to Much time.
I have a strange problem with using ajax post requests. I use the request to run an ImageMagick process directly on the command line by using php function exec(). The process takes about a minute, and then responds with some variables. This is working fine, except from one problem. During the execution time I cannot excess other parts of the website that are installed on the same webserver (as if the server is unreachable). When the process finishes, everything works fine again.
I first thought this to be due to an overloaded server. However, when you access the website via another browser, there are no problems, even during the execution time of the process in the other browser. So it looks like the problems has something to do with browsers blocking other requests during the post request.
Could anyone help me out here? What could be the root problem?
Found the solution! Thanks from the help by kukipei By adding session_write_close(); to the file of the ajax request (after is has read the userid and token), the session file is no longer locked, and all pages are accessible again. Problem was that the session was locked during the whole execution time of the process, which was not necessary, since I only needed the session to read the userid and token. So before calling the ImageMagick operation, I now add session_write_close()
