I'm currently in China,
my server is based in the US,
for the above website, when I try to remove and create new jobs in the
basic CRUD layout, I'm getting quite a few timeouts, and sometimes just failures,
can anyone tell me if they are getting the same issue from the US/ a different location,
also is there any way to resolve these Ajax timeouts, is this a PHP/CODING/DATABASE issue,
or is it something else
I tried to remove a JOB it was fine but with adding I Had troubles but no time out(Cyprus).
Ok I added a Job but it taking to Much time.

We are using Sentry for finding some errors.
How do you proof, that a reporting is working?
I had a Spring-Boot project, which was not sending any error to Sentry, so it looks like it was working without an error, but I saw in Kibana, that there have been errors.
So, my configuration was wrong. After fixing the setup, it's now sending the errors to Sentry too.
Is there any way to proof that the sending to Sentry is working?
Something like on startup of my Spring-Boot application sending a first string?
I found 2 possible solutions which both sucks, so that's why I ask for a more professional way:
I can make just on application start up a log.error("sentry is working")
I can set the log-level from warning / error to info just to see that it's working and if see it in Sentry, you change it back?
But as i mentioned, both methods are not good, so let me know how you are resolving problems like this

There isn't a real "answer" here currently, as part of Sentry's simplicity is it doesn't do anything until an error happens. One potential solution is to introduce a path like example.com/500 that deliberately errors.
When I make a XmlHttpRequest (via jQuery's $.ajax) to a particular URL, my Chrome consistently hangs every time with a status on the request of 'Pending'.
After that Chrome must be closed ie. forcibly from Task Manager, and it exhibits general signs of mayhem such as the Cookies and Scripts tabs being empty when they were full of normal looking data immediately prior.
This is odd because (a) my coworkers, running a seemingly identical everything, have no such problems; (b) I have been using Chrome to run this code (our company's JavaScript app) for many months and this just started happening for no apparent reason.
I checked out the Apache logs, they appear to be processing the request normally and to completion, but Chrome never sees the reply, apparently.
A couple of other clarifications: prior to the failure, the same Chrome and Apache return a truckload of JS and image files normally, eg., things seem to be fine right up until they aren't. The request is not particularly large (a few hundred bytes in and out) or complex in any obvious way.
If anybody can give me some hints of where to look, I'd be grateful!
I'm experiencing similar behavior with slightly different symptoms. My ajax requests work fine, every second request up to 6 requests, then they all start failing (same url as when working, same payload, etc), but in my case they're not even hitting the server, just stuck in "Pending" in Inspector.
I dont have an answer for you, but to help debug, have you tried chromes net-internals?

I see my requests in #sockets go into "active", but never come back, and in #events I can see that the request stalls after the HOST_RESOLVER_IMPL_REQUEST stage.
I'm thinking it could be a resource issue caused by not properly ending the request, but thats just pure speculation.

seems that everyone has this problem with codeigniter .
When i set my session in a controller it works perfectly and i can display it.
WHen i move to another controller, the (CUSTOM) session data is completely lost.
i tried changing my cookie_domain in config.php. Since i am on localhost i tried localhost with without / and localhost/codeigniter and sodeigniter all did not work. i am lost
btw, i read somewhere that this happens when 2 ajax requests happen at the same time. could that be the problem?
Or maybe tell me how you resolved the problem if you had same issues

Check and double-check your code or any external libraries you are using for a stray sess_destroy(). I ran into a similar problem where I was storing an id in the session for reference but if the user then logs in the SimpleLogin library I was using for logins just destroys the entire session including data I did not want to lose.
This is what I get for not writing my own code.
There are plenty of examples of similar problems littered around the web but none of their solutions seem to fix this particular variation. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Usually this problem occurs because a rogue link is causing a request for a resources like a favicon or css file to hit the dispatcher more than once, thus causing multiple dispatch processes and therefore multiple rows in your database.
I have checked that all the links on this very simple example page do actually resolve to the resource to which they point.
The session handler is setup as follows:

The db logging is setup as follows:
$writer = new Zend_Log_Writer_Db($db, $config->log->tableName,

$logger = new Zend_Log($writer);
Both objects are correctly setup and can read and write to and from the database. Only everything happens twice. If I put a test log message anywhere in the application it is written into the database twice. If I increment three variables with every call to the index action - one stored in the session, one passed around via a Zend_Registry object and another local to the indexAction - only the session variable is incremented by 2. The Apache access log shows the correct amount of requests being fired from the page load and all have good response codes of either 200 or 304 (unchanged).
I have tried disabling all head links.
I have tried disabling the layout entirely.
I have localised everything to the dispatcher and exited before dispatch is run.
In all cases the extra write/increment takes place.
Any thoughts?

I seem to have found and fixed the issue. Chrome (and possibly all Webkit browsers) issues an additional HEAD request on top of the GET which means the application is hit twice and anything session based will be triggered as a result of both requests. My temporary solution is to put the following code near the start of my index.php file.

Google Chrome always asks for the favicon.ico by making annoying requests to the server. Take care about this in Chrome.

I recently recorded a test script in Jmeter intended for use as a load test script (using this handy set of instructions. The recording itself worked great and I even figured out how to grab and parametrize the session ids and timestamps. However, if I run the recorded steps just as they were recorded some of them don't work -- they generate "500--Server encountered and internal error ...nested exception is java.lang.NullPointerException" The failing steps are all Ajax calls that populate sidebar elements. If I copy the request GET call (Request tab, ViewResultsTree) and paste it into a browser I get the exact same error. Do I need to record my script differently, or hand-code the ajax calls? Other, earlier steps work correctly and send the expected POST data, so it isn't the application under test or forgotten proxy settings. Currently running against Firefox 3.6.10
Any suggestions on how I can debug this would be greatly appreciated.
The first thing I'd do is determine if the java.lang.NullPointerException is happening on the client side (JMeter) or on your server. If it is happening in JMeter, than something is terribly wrong with either your script or with JMeter.
But assuming that the error is encountered on your server, then looking into the cause of the exception may shed light on what is wrong with the request issued by JMeter. Do you have access to the code where the exception is thrown?
I would also recommend comparing the request in the recording with the request that generated the error. You may need to determine which parts of the request are session-specific and ensure those fields are populated correctly.
It sounds like Jmeter isn't executing the AJAX calls, and this can be fine depending on your site. Can you simply do an HTTP request to get the pages the AJAX calls populate?
I would recommend reading this post, as it looks pretty good.
I've seen that situation caused by a few things:
a page is required to load and be cached BEFORE making the failing request;
the failing page needs to automatically redirected to work properly;
the failing page has sub-requests JMeter failed to record. Devs can help with this.
