I just added a new Umbraco Form using the new Umbraco Forms in Umbraco 7.2.1.
When I fill in my form with errors, the validation message(s) will show up.
On this moment, the data I added is lost.
Is there a way to keep the form data? Because my form has too many fields to let the user fill in the data again.
Thanks for your help!

I am using Drupal 7.54. I want to attach or embed a node add form to a view so that when a user submits the form, the view below the form will be updated in realtime via ajax. The form will be shown above the view. My view block name is Statuses Stream.
I tried Form block module and putting the form in the header section of my view using views ui, but after submit, it was redirecting to the node created page.
Then I tried Advanced Form Block module. I created a form using AFB module. The form name is Statuses. It is submitting the form with ajax, but it is not updating the view in the realtime. I have to refresh the page manually to show the created node below the form.
I am open to any solution programmatically or through a module.
Note: For those who know, I am trying to mimic the statuses module. It does exactly what I am looking for. The problem began when I came to know that it is not an entity. So now I am trying to make the same functionality with Content type.
You could use something like Views Refresh to manually update the view below instead of refreshing the page.
I've a Telerik RadTextbox in one of my .ascx files in a Sitefinity 5.4 website. When a form containing the RadTextbox is submitted and there is some error thrown by the server, and the user goes back and tries to resubmit the form, there is validation message appearing even if there is input showing from the initial submission. It looks like the input from the first submission is treated as watermark.
Any idea why this is happening?
Is the user going back by using the browser back button? Then the validations will still exist. Try to eliminate the errors by clients side validation first, then server side validations. If the errors still exists, you should clear the validation messages on the load of the control (if it is not a postback of course)
I am fairly new to .NET and MVC3 - and even Ajax and Json, and am working on an MVC3 (razor) application, using jqGrid, and so far it is immense(jqgrid that is!) and has dealt with everything I have thrown at it.
However, I have One Outstanding peice of functionality that I do not know How to accomplish.
Within the Edit form of a Row, I have Placed a Custom button called 'Reset Password'. I need the Onclick Event to call a piece of functionality in my Controller to go through some logic, generate a Password, and Return the new Password to the Screen.
Can anyone tell me How can I achieve this?
May thanks in Advance.
You can return a partial view result or json data from the action.
See the partial view approach here
I want to upgrade my current website with Yii Framework.
In the registration form of my application, there is an ajax validation process while let the user know whether the requested ID is available, when user types an ID. Currently it works with onChange attribute of the text input.
I want have the example of the code where anyone did same type of work with Yii framework using CHtml::ClientChange and Form Builder.
Thanks in advance.
You should do the blog tutorial from Yii, it explains step by step how Yii works, and it also has an ajax validation for forms.
I have a strange scenario :
I am using asp.net mvc and I have a form which has a combination of HTML input fields and Telerik RadEditor.
When validation fails on my form I have history.back to get the user back to the form. If RadEditor has some text and if validation fails then I am losing all the data in the fields that are right below the RadEditor control. Any idea what's going on?
IS the problem reproducible without RadEditor on the page?
Have you tried to set the ContentAreaMode property of RadEditor to DIV and test?
