Custom button not displaying in Today Extension - xcode

I have some custom buttons in my host app that I'd like to use in the Today Extension.
They work just fine in the app but do not display in the widget.
The button on the left is my custom button class, the one on the right is a UIButton. If I change it to my custom class it too disappears.
Any thoughts why this might be happening?
----------------------EDIT------------------------
Well, somehow I managed to get it to display but sometimes it's not drawing the whole button and sometimes it's drawing the button incorrectly.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

i have tried custom rendering by removing the padding but still not able to get the desired result, i found one solution updating icon using SetTabIcons Method but this method does not get trigger when we are working with bottom tabbed bar in Android, please suggest me something which can help me to get this for both android & Ios
I understand your problem here, i am not sure how to get that big button overflowing the tabbar but however have a look at this
https://devlinduldulao.pro/how-to-create-bottom-navigation-bar-in-xamarin-forms/
That's an open source project and the source code is linked at the bottom of page, you can tweak the animation (which i like very much) and use a customrenderer to render the center icon over a circle.
Have a look if that helps you in any way! :)

Clickable toolbar in Xamarin

I am newest in Xamarin and have question for developers with more experiences.
I want to hide custom picker when user clicks anywhere any view in app. This working with view where is custom picker opened, but when I click on toolbar he remains opened. This problem is existing only on iOS, Android work as expected.
Could i make whole toolbar to be clickable and how?
Thanks in advance
In the Picker Toolbar you can set UIBarButtonItem to add Done button. Then you can add a Click Event for the Done button and write following code in it.
YourPicker.RemoveFromSuperview();
YourPickerView.RemoveFromSuperview();
textField.ResignFirstResponder();

Create Page custom animations in Windows Phone 8.1 (Windows Runtime)

I would like to develop some animations for my pages or my page content. The approach of which one I should follow is unclear to me at the moment and I'll try to explain why.
What I'd like to achieve is to create a page (or page content) animation with a slide-in from right when navigating to the page and slide-out to left when leaving the page.
The slide-in part can be achieved with ContentThemeTransition from TransitionCollection. But what about the slide-out part?
I can't seem to know or find any good timing regarding when to fire a slide-out animation just before the page is about to be left.
I'dlike not to apply any animation to the page in such way that WP does by default (with some jump-out, jump-in effect). I'd like to be like BasicPage from templates with no animation but with custom animated content upon page enter and page leave.
How could this be achieved?
Thanks in advance.
I assume you are navigating from the page via tapping a button or something similar. Why don't you create a storyboard animation, start that from the Click event handler of the button, and call Frame.Navigate() when the animation has finished playing?

How to check if tapped region falls inside a PopUp Control

I am using tap event listener from wp toolkit. In my app I show a pop up screen. I have defined the gesturelister to work on the Grid. In capturing the Tap gesture event, I get the screen coordinates (i.e X and Y) where it happened.
Now i want to know if the Tap happened inside the PopUp control or outside it. How can i achieve this on wp8. I have tried many solutions but none seems to work. Please help on this.
Is the Grid under or over the PopUp Control?
If yes, the solution is pretty simple.
When the click is on the Popup the Grid will not receive it.
When the click is not on the Popup the Grid will receive it.

Toolkit Autocompletebox popup postition

I'm having some troubles with the position of the Autocompletebox. It's working as it should, displaying the popup above the textbox when using the app. But if I use a task like Microsoft.Phone.Tasks.EmailComposeTask and then click on the back button, the position of the popup goes to to the "middle", not below or over the textbox, but right over it. Does anybody have a clue on what I need to do here? I know that the app is deactivated and activated again when i use Microsoft.Phone.Tasks.EmailComposeTask. But I don't understand why the popup of the toolkit:Autocompletebox is the only thing that's affected by this.
I've read this thread: WP7 AutoCompleteBox Popup position, but is there still no way of "fixing" this issue? Any tips?
