My computer is a Razer Blade Pro 2014, you can find the features of it here:

I needed to install visual studio to code in c++, but every time I use an installer from dreamSpark or VS site, it gets blurry.
This happens on the installer itself and on the program after I install it.
It gets annoying

Here is an picture of the installer... I think what it is doing is zooming in the text that I hover over.. I remembered once, I had my mouse on the x button, and half of the screen just have a really zoomed in X. Another time was the install button...
I downloaded several installation files,
VS 2013 express for windows desktop from dream spark
VS 2012 express for windows 8 from dream spark
VS 2012 Professorial for windows 8 from dream spark
VS Ultimate 2013 with Update 4 from VS site
My computer is running on windows 8.
Any idea what is wrong with my computer? Why is this happening? and how to fix it?
Thanks in advance

I've been trying to install Visual Studio on my machine running Windows 10, however there seems to be a weird issue with both Visual Studio 2015 and Visual Studio 2013 (Community edition).
The problem seems to be that the user interface doesn't get rendered/updated properly. I have uploaded a video demonstrating the issue here. If I click on any item in the list on the left, it doesn't show that it's selected. The preview image on the right seems to update, but it doesn't get cleared so the images are overlapping.
Has anyone else experienced this problem or know how to solve this?
I am running Windows 10 Home, 64-bit edition.
Probably is a problem with your graphics card driver.
As workaround, try to use sofware rendering as specified in Microsoft KB:

I today upgraded to Windows 10 Build 10074 that I downloaded from here. Now, I wanted to develop apps for Windows and Windows Phone as a Universal app. Also that I'm willing to do the same for Android devices therefore, I downloaded Visual Studio Community 2013 with Update 4 from here. Now, after it installed it first gave a warning that the system doesn't support Windows Phone 8 emulator (and I understand this because I suppose the processor, Core 2 Duo E7000 doesn't support visualization/SLAT technology). After this I opened Visual Studio which first loaded, then closed automatically (quite abruptly). I opened a sample solution afterward which loaded, then a dialog came stating you need to enable developer mode in Windows 10 under Settings>Update and Security>For Developers but when I went there and clicked For Developers, the window closed (similar to Visual Studio).
How do I enable it then? And I don't know should I re-install/uninstall it? Or maybe I should download Visual Studio 2015 RC?
Thanks,
Kvaibhav01.
If you really want to develop for the new universal app Platform, you will need VS2015 RC, but your apps won't work on Windows 8 devices, only for Windows 10.
I am running windows 7 pro 64 bit.
I had to re-install .Net framework for a different problem and now VS won't start. I have tried to uninstall and re-install and that doesn't help. At the end of the installation is says this:
It also does that when I try to repair. I re-installed my .Net frame work again and this is currently what I have:
When I try to start VS it shows up as a process in task manager for a little bit and then disappears. No window or logo ever appears
I don't know where to start with solving this problem and I am not very familiar with visual studio. Any help is appreciated
I am running VS 2013 ultimate on win 8.1 Parallels and everything was working fine, now does not. I have repaired the install, and have even uninstalled and reinstalled VS 2013. WHen I run devenv.exe the initial VS loading screen shows and just spins. When I look at Task Manager, I only see VS running as a background process and eating up the CPU.
When I select a solution file or xml file as an example and choose the VS 2013, VS comes up and loads the file. Any ideas of how to get this working would be GREATLY appreciated.
I was able to get the IDE to come up in safemode, so I figured it was one of the third party addins. It seems like the Productivity Power Tools addin was the culprit in my situation.
Installed Visual Studio Web Developer 2010 Express from the ISO available from this page:
http://www.microsoft.com/express/downloads/
If it helps this is the info from the about visual studio window:
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010: Version 10.0.30319.1 RTMRel
Microsoft .NET Framework - Version 4.0.30319 RTMRel
Installed Version: WD Express
For some reason I get silly big red numbers appearing in the right hand side and on tool bar windows. Whenever I resize the window the numbers change and they are extremely annoying.
Have been through all the settings and options and cannot find the 'Turn off the silly big red numbers everywhere' check box. Can anyone show me where this is please?
(source: solutionrevolution.net)
More annoying than silly big red numbers is debugging against IIS7 where visual studio just hangs and nothing will work again until a restart. Vista Business running 32 bit. VS2008 works fine on the same machine.
If anyone has any pointers or help for me it would be very much appreciated
Definitely looks like Fraps. VS2010 is written in WPF, and WPF uses DirectX to render everything, that is why Fraps putting its FPS meter on VS2010 window. Just disable Fraps.
