File System Error: An error occurred while opening the <path name> local cube file - vb6

I am using Windows 8 64-Bit
I am attempting to build an ADODC Connection String on VB 6.
When I go to the ADODC Properties window and go to "Connection String", I build a string by entering the path name and testing the connection. There is no problem with the connection. In the path name, I enter the location of the .mdb file which I want to connect to my VB 6.
Even though the test connection is okay, when I click "apply", I get the error: File System Error: An error occurred while opening the local cube file.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It can be for more reasons:
I add some sample ConnectionString that you can paste them without setting and applying:
UsingMicrosoft Jet OLE DB 4.0:
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=C:\mydatabase.mdb;User Id=admin;
Password=;
Using Microsoft ACE OLEDB 12.0:
Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;Data Source=C:\myFolder\myAccessFile.mdb;
Persist Security Info=False;
Using Microsoft Access accdb ODBC Driver:
Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb)};Dbq=C:\mydatabase.mdb;
Using Microsoft Access ODBC Driver:
Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};Dbq=C:\mydatabase.mdb;Uid=Admin;Pwd=;
for more connection strings use This Link.

For checking your setting in windows follow this:
Add a new Text Document -anywhere-
Rename New Text Document.txt to testConnection.udl -just extension is important-
In the same window of ADODC settings windows; set your own settings.
Test your own Connection settings by Test Connection.
If it's OK! press OK.
Open testConnection.udl by NotePad:
[oledb]
; Everything after this line is an OLE DB initstring
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=C:\mydatabase.mdb;User Id=admin; Password=;
Copy the last line to your ConnectionString property of ADODC.

Oracle 11g XE - Can't login and database is down

Just installed Oracle 11g XE (Windows), but can't connect in SQL Developer or run any command in CLI.
When try to connect in CLI using SYS or SYSTEM with password defined during the install, get the following error:
ORA-12638: credential retrieval failed
When I tray to connect via SQL Developer (tried via SID and Service Name, hostname=localhost, port=1521, SID=xe), get this error:
Status : Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in
connect descriptor
Already tried change SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NTS) to (NONE) in sqlnet.ora file. When I do this, get the following error when try to connect with the SYS or SYSTEM user and password:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
Already tried every solution in Google results, like reinstall, stop and start services... Mostly ask for first connect in CLI to make some changes, but even this I can't accomplish.
Any suggestions on how connect to the database?
Found the solution:
I was installing in my company Windows user domain.
First uninstall any instance of Oracle XE 11g.
Switch to a local administrator Windows user and install Oracle XE 11g.
Sign off and back to company Windows user.
Edit the file C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\network\ADMIN\sqlnet.ora (or equivalent to your installation path). Change SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (TNS) to SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NONE).
This change will allow you connect to database from you company Windows user.
As seen here: Error ORA-12638 in Oracle Database 11g
Try the following: Open command window, cd to Oracle bin directory, enter sqlplus /nolog. If you get a prompt enter connect / as sysdba. If you get connected then you can try "startup".

Did you try to start the Oracle RDBMS service via Services (services.msc)?
Do you use an spfile? Check the registry for ORA_SID_NAME_PFILE that is different from default location of $ORACLE_HOME/dbs. Also check the default location. Use only the default location or the registry entry removing either the registry entry or the file in the default location depending on which you want to use.

SQL Server Driver Error Failed to find or load the JDBC driver:

I am getting below error while trying to connect to SQL SERVER. I have already done following and still getting the error:
downloaded Sqljdbc42.jar file
placed it in "C:\tibco\tpcl\5.9\jdbc" folder
updated designer.tra file - appended tibco.env.CUSTOM_CP_EXT and tibco.env.STD_CP_EXT with "C:\tibco\tpcl\5.9\lib\sqljdbc42.jar"
I also did tried placing the jar file in "C:\tibco\tpcl\5.9\lib" and
"C:\tibco\bw\5.12\lib" folder and repeated Step3 above, however, no luck..
any suggestions ?
Error:
BW-JDBC-100033 "Configuration Test Failed. Failed to find or load the
JDBC driver: tibcosoftwareinc.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver"
tibcosoftwareinc.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver driver comes with tibco BW installation. looks like the tibco tibcosoftwareinc.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver driver was not installed in your environment.
If you want to use sqljdbc42.jar you need to specify correct jdbc driver class in Tibco connection configuration in "JDBC Driver" field (please see screenshot).
For sqljdbc42.jar the "JDBC Driver" is
com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
you can find The JDBC driver class name and connection string example in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/connect/jdbc/using-the-jdbc-driver?view=sql-server-2017
the connection string should look like:
jdbc:sqlserver://localhost:1433;databaseName=AdventureWorks;user=MyUserName;password=*****;
as you said you need to add sqljdbc42.jar to C:\tibco\tpcl\5.x\jdbc folder.
The folder C:\tibco\bw\5.x\lib also works.
You need to restart designer after adding jars.

open and run the sql file from network drive in sql developer

I am trying to run the file from network drive but getting error message as Unable to open file.
I am trying below command to run in sql developer :
#\\chllrog.amastre.com\Shares\test\execute_report.sql
I also tried like this below but getting same error message:
#"\\chllrog.amastre.com\Shares\test\execute_report.sql"
When i open the execute_report.sql file from this location and execute the contents of the file which creates new excel file in the same directory then its creating new file and its working.
Use network map for your operating system (in Windows, right click the shared folder in explorer and Map Network Drive). Then you can run the script from SQL Developer using the mapped drive, for example: #z:\Shares\test\execute_report.sql
You can use the same addressing of file for spool and output file
It did work for me without drive mapping:
sqlplus /nolog "#\\server\path\file.sql"
sqlplus version 12.2.0.1
The quotes and '#' are important, apparently.

netbeans create .new file instead of overwrite it

I'm tring to work on php project using NetBeans v8.1 with remote server connection.
I've tried active mode but when saving the file it gives me this error:
I won't open a connection to 192.168.1.100 (only to 197.133.xxx.xx)
So I changed the connection mode to passive mode.
When I try to save the file to upload, a new file created on the server directory with .new extension (ex. index.php.new) and it's empty, and Netbeans gives me this error:
Upload files on save failed.
For the information: My FTP encryption: "Explicit FTP using TLS"
And when I Press on "Test Connection", it gives me "connection succeeded"
Screenshot of the connection
Any Help will be appreciated.
I just had the same issue and it appears to be a server communication issue using TLS in passive mode.
Try ticking the box "Encrypt Only Authentication Process" - did the trick for me :)

ora-12154 could not resolve... with oracle instant client

Here are the details:
I installed the oracle instant client 11.2.0.2.0 from the OTN download page on a windows 7 64 bit vm (vmware).
I am trying to to connect to a remote oracle database, and I can successfully connect with one program using TNS, but not with SQL*Plus and other applications.
Trying to connect with SQL*Plus, using schema#servicename, password, etc, gives the above error.
To connect via SQL Developer, normally I would use the basic connection info and not rely on tnsnames, but trying a normal connection gives me: io error: unknown host specified. SQL Developer can successfully connect and query database if i use the TNS protocol.
Trying from other programs gives me the same error I got with SQL*Plus. Same when trying with the service name from tnsnames.
This is obviously quite frustrating for it to work one way and not the other. I followed all the normal instructions for using the instant client, the directory with instantclient has been addded to the PATH, a TNS_ADMIN entry has also been created, with the directory to the tnsnames.ora file
Well, on a whim, I went to changing everything in my setup to match an windows 2003 server that i had setup with instant client before. The main changes were putting the instant client in a folder at the root of the drive (not program files/oracle/etc), but c:/oracle, i know ive seen other posts saying that oracle was particular about characters in the directory path, maybe spaces are a no-no too?
I also add a bunch more environmental variables, anythign that was on the other machine, ORACLE_HOME (to root of instance), SQL_PATH (same), and added the root of the directory to the PATH system variable, not just the folder with the instantclient files. Anyways, I'm happy its working, anyone one of these changes could have been it though-
You may use ProcessMonitor and look at what your sqlplus process is doing. In my case TNS_ADMIN was correctly defined but, by mistake, my tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora had a stupid ".txt" extension, added by default by notepad when I created those files. And because "Windows Explorer" has the "Hide extensions for known file types" option set by default, the naming error wasn't obvious at all.
I installed the 12.1 instant client. For me, the problem was solved by creating \network\admin\tnsnames.ora file. Here's the PowerShell I used:
$source = "C:\Users\USER1\Desktop\tnsnames.ora"
$target = "C:\oracle\product\12.1.0\client_1\network\admin"
mkdir $target
copy-item $source $target
