Include new .drl file from a DRL rule - include

I want to load a new drl file based on the "when then " condition of some rule. In the following example i want to include a new "checkMasterData.drl" file when getFilteredMasterData().size()>3 from the another drl file
rule "Check for mouse catch"

is it possible? Or do i need to do this from the java code after the fireall is succes of the first drl file

It seems you cannot include drl file from another , but you can do so programatically .. as per this thread the following code can be use to merge 2 drl files to the same ruleBase and works as if they were in the same file.
PackageBuilder builder = new PackageBuilder();
builder.addPackageFromDrl( new InputStreamReader(getClass().getResourceAsStream( "common.drl" ) ) );
builder.addPackageFromDrl( new InputStreamReader( getClass().getResourceAsStream( "rules1.drl" ) ) );

how to pass a dynamic file path to filename field of Flexible File Writer of jmeter

I need to generate the dynamic file path in the setup thread group like below.
def result_file = new File(org.apache.jmeter.services.FileServer.getFileServer().getBaseDir() + File.separator + 'transactions_passed_' + new Date().format('MM_dd_yyyy_HH_mm_ss') + '.csv');
props.put("result_file", result_file);
Now I want to pass that file path as a filename value of Flexible File Writer plugin of jmeter so that variables are stored inside it.
Not able to make it work. Kindly help. Thanks
I have tried below options:
Filename: ${__groovy(props.get("result_file").text)}
tried to use preprocessor and set the value:
vars.put("result_file", '${__FileToString(props.get("result_file"),,)}');
Also tried to use below groovy script in the FileName field of Flexible File Writer, however it throws an exception of FileNotFound exception:

The approach with __groovy() function should work however you need to remove this .text bit from there
${__groovy(new File(org.apache.jmeter.services.FileServer.getFileServer().getBaseDir() + System.getProperty('file.separator') + 'transactions_passed_' + new Date().format('MM_dd_yyyy_HH_mm_ss') + '.csv'))}

how to "include" another file as part of a Jenkins Pipeline definition

We have a large project that has multiple separate declarative pipeline file definitions. This is used to build different apps and installers from the single code base.
Right now, all of these files contain a large block of "code" used to generate the email body and JIRA update messages. examples:

What I would like to do is have all these common methods in a separate file that all the other pipeline files can include. This seems like it SHOULD be easy, but all examples I've found appear to be rather complex involving a separate SCM - which is NOT what I want.

So basically if I remove the "." from .dir on both files it would work. But is there any way to over ride it?

extFile.javascript.dir
If we break that into how Groovy will interpret it:
extFile.getProperty('javascript').getProperty('dir')
You want Groovy to interpret it as:
extFile.getProperty('javascript.dir')
Besides directly calling getProperty, here are a couple Groovy options:
extFile.'javascript.dir'
extFile['javascript.dir']
Additionally, assuming your gradle.properties file is either in your project root (generally as a sibling to the build.gradle) or in your GRADLE_HOME directory (i.e. ~/.gradle/gradle.properties) it will be automatically loaded by Gradle and all properties available as project properties.
So you can remove all of your properties parsing code and just do the following:
project.getProperty('javascript.dir')
// or
project.'javascript.dir'
// or
project['javascript.dir']
If you want to protect against those properties not being set, and are on Gradle 2.13 or higher, you can use findProperty instead of getProperty which will return null instead of throwing an exception.

Gradle : how can I call a 'def' from an imported script?

I am currently modularizing our gradle build in order to have a libs/commons.gradle file containing a lot of global stuff. I need this because of various branches of the software beeing developed in parallel and we'd like to avoid to spread every scriptfile change among all branches.
So I created that lib file and used "apply from" to load it :

Local variables are declared with the def keyword. They are only
visible in the scope where they have been declared. Local variables
are a feature of the underlying Groovy language.
13.4.2. Extra properties
All enhanced objects in Gradle's domain model can hold extra
user-defined properties. This includes, but is not limited to,
projects, tasks, and source sets. Extra properties can be added, read
and set via the owning object's ext property. Alternatively, an ext
block can be used to add multiple properties at once.
If you declare it as:
ext.svnRevision = {
...
}
and don't change the call, I expect it will work.

Issue with Gradle task to write file

I am developing an Android application where I have a directory of JSON files and I want to create a gradle task that will combine all these files into a single JSON file.
This is the gradle task I have so far but does not create the file:

My issue was trying to use Java.io.File and having the wrong directory path set for my file.
Creating an instance of java.io.File in Groovy/Java does not create the file on disk. You will need to write something to it. Check out this tutorial for working with files in Groovy.
Also you have put your task implementation in a task configuration block, rather than a task action. This means your code will not be running when you are expecting - it will run every time you run gradle rather than when you run this task. You need to put your code in a doLast block
