Spring Security with Spring 4 - spring

I recently updated my Spring project to Spring 4. After upgrading I am not able to successfully update the Maven project since Spring Security jars are not matching with Spring 4 jars.
Here is dependencies in the POM file.
<spring.version>3.2.3.RELEASE</spring.version>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.security</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-security-config</artifactId>
<version>${spring.version}</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.security</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-security-core</artifactId>
<version>${spring.version}</version>
<type>jar</type>
<scope>compile</scope>
<exclusions>
<exclusion>
<artifactId>spring-core</artifactId>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
</exclusion>
<exclusion>
<artifactId>spring-context</artifactId>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>

<artifactId>aspectjweaver</artifactId>

</exclusions>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.security</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-security-web</artifactId>
<version>${spring.version}</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.security</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-security-taglibs</artifactId>
<version>${spring.version}</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.security</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-security-web</artifactId>
<version>${spring.version}</version>
</dependency>
It is showing missing artifacts on compilation.Please suggest which jars need to be used. Any help will be truly appreciable.

Which version of spring security is compatible with org.springframework

After a migration from spring 4.3.9 to 5.3.22 / spring security from 4.2.3.RELEASE to 5.3.9.RELEASE, I have this error:
org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanExpressionException: Expression
parsing failed; nested exception is java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:
org.springframework.expression.spel.support.StandardTypeConverter.<init>(Ljava/util/function/Supplier;)V
at
org.springframework.context.expression.StandardBeanExpressionResolver.evaluate(StandardBeanExpressionResolver.java:170)
I think is related to spring-expression version, because there is a conflict:
I ask which version of spring security I should have with spring framework 5.3.22?

To answer your initial question you should be using Spring Security 5.5 or higher as that supports Spring 5.3 (it is build against it). Using anything lower might work but YMMV.
To answer your additional question in the comment based upon my take on your dependency management. You should be using the Spring Framework BOM to manage your dependencies (Spring Security has one as well). See also this blog which explains the usage and benefits of a bom (and what is solves).
In your case it would drastically improve your dependency management.
<dependencyManagement>
<dependencies>

Something like this. Maven will now automatically use the version information from the bom to manage the versions. You don't need to include the version anymore and any transitive version will be managed as well. That saves you a lot of excludes. I took the liberty to add them for Spring, Spring Security, JUnit and Mockito. However I also believe there is one for JAXB and CXF as well.

spring security jar files are not being downloaded by maven

The spring security jar files are missing from my project classpath.
Maven clean and install execute successfully but doesn't download jar files for spring-security which I have mentioned in my pom.xml(see below).All other jar files are being downloaded successfully.

Your variable is not resolved. Did you initialize it properly?
As you can see here

Initialize $spring-version
Delete those files, which contains ${spring.version}, and fix your pom.xml:
<properties>
<version.org.springframework>3.2.4.RELEASE</version.org.springframework>
<version.org.springframework.security>3.2.4.RELEASE</version.org.springframework.security>
</properties>
Also wrap your <dependency> tags with a <dependencies> tag.
If it's a root pom, you should use a <dependencyManagement> tag.

What all jars are required for Spring + jersey

I am wondering what all jars do I require to make Spring + Jersey work.
right now I had put the following jars in my buldpath.
Jersey-server-1.18
Spring 4.0.6
But my application does not seem to be working. what shall I use instead to make it work.
If you want to use Jersey Spring DI support you will need to add the jersey-spring3 module. This is configuration and corresponding jars from my test project. Few of them may be optional.
Maven:

Showing menu depending on authenticated User : Using spring security

I already did a research, I found one way using <sec:authorize ifNotGranted="ROLE_ANONYMOUS">. but unfortunately sec taglib is not working for me. I tried every single solution in the web but in vain.
Is there any other way to show content depending on user without using taglib ?
Make sure you've added the spring-security-taglibs library to your project.
For example, if you are using maven for resolving the dependencies.
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.security</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-security-taglibs</artifactId>
<version>3.1.3.RELEASE</version>
<exclusions>
<exclusion>
<artifactId>spring-aop</artifactId>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
</exclusion>
</exclusions>
</dependency>
It's working now, obviously there was a conflict, I had to exclude manually each spring-security-taglib dependency.
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.security</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-security-taglibs</artifactId>
<version>3.1.1.RELEASE</version>

If I remove the jersey-spring artifact then my unit tests for the repository fields passes without any exceptions. However, when I start up my server jetty complains that it can't find:
"2013-05-03 00:10:43.885:WARN:oejs.Holder:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sun.jersey.spi.spring.container.servlet.SpringServlet

at org.eclipse.jetty.webapp.WebAppClassLoader.loadClass(WebAppClassLoader.java:424)
at org.eclipse.jetty.webapp.WebAppClassLoader.loadClass(WebAppClassLoader.java:377)"
Is the jersey-spring dependency compatible with my version of spring?
Jersey has an older version of Spring AOP so I excluded the dependency and the issues were resolved.
