I want to create a VBS script that has a message box with multiple numerical attributes,
for example having a message box with the 16 icon as well as the 2 value (Abort,Retry,Ignore)
In other words, I would want to combine the following two scripts into one.
lol=msgbox("Body message",16,"Title")
with
lol=msgbox("Body message",2,"Title")
How do I get to combine these two attributes?
You just add the numbers together:
lol=msgbox("Body message",18,"Title")

When generating tables in SPSS with the calculation of the mode it will show a footnote when multiple modes are present ("a. Multiple modes exist. The smallest value is shown").
There is a way to hide this footnote, but the hidden footnote will still take up an empty row in the output. For processing reasons I would like to delete the footnote entirely.
I have been trying to do this with the Output Modify command in the syntax, but can't get it to work. There are commands for selecting the footnotes:
/TABLECELLS
SELECT = ["expression", COUNT, MEAN, MEDIAN, RESIDUAL,
PERCENT, SIGNIFICANCE, POSITION(integer),
BODY, HEADERS, FOOTNOTES, TITLE, CAPTION, …]
And for deleting objects:
/DELETEOBJECT DELETE={NO**}
{YES }
But trying to combine these does not yield the wanted result. Is what I am trying to do possible? Or maybe a suggestion for another solution?
Thanks in advance!
try adding "NOTESCAPTIONS = NO" at the end of your OUTPUT MODIFY syntax.
that should remove all notes and captions in the output.
no need to use "DELETEOBJECT" subcommand.
How can I have different parameters value defined in .ini file for each repeat in omnet using cmdenv? I have repeat value as 4 and trying to have different value of accidentStart and accidentDuration.
You can't. And shouldn't. The whole point of repetition is that all parameters have the same value, just the RNGs are seeded differently. So you get a different sample of the same distribution for every result value.
What you're looking for are iteration variables.
Something like this:
**.accidentStart = ${100, 200, 350}s
This will generate 3 runs without repetition, and 12 runs with repeat=4.
and if you add
**.accidentDuration = ${duration=300, 450, 600..1800 step 600}s
this will multiply the number of runs by another factor of 5.
By default, iteration variables produce a Cartesian product of their respective assigned sets of values. But there are ways to change this, consult the manual for how.
I need to count how many times a particular node occurs in a document based on the values of two if its attributes. So, given the following small sample of XML:
<p:entry timestamp="2012-11-15T17:53:34.642-05:00" ticks="89709622449012" system="OSD" component="OSD5" marker=".\Launcher.cpp:1741" severity="Info" type="Driver" subtype="Start" tags="" sensitivity="false">
This can occur one or more times in the document with different attribute sets. I need to count how many show up with type="Driver" AND subtype="Start". I am able to count how many just have type="Driver" using:
count(//p:entry[#type="Driver"])
but haven't been able to combine them. This didn't work:
count(//p:entry[#type="Driver" and #subtype="Start"])
This works for the OP. Specify 2 predicates in succession instead of using operator and result in the same effect:
count(//p:entry[#type="Driver"][#subtype="Start"])
By right, the original code count(//p:entry[#type="Driver" and #subtype="Start"]) should work, as far as my knowledge goes.
i have an openoffice dropdown select using list validation.
the problem is, that the list contains duplicate entries in a flat tree form - like:
Test 1
Subtest
Test 2
Subtest
Now i would like to Convert the selected values to something like "Test 1 - Subtest", "Test 2 - Subtest" etc.
Is there a simple way to do this with an OpenOffice Macro? Or is there at least a way to get the Position of the currently selected Element for a cell.Validation ?
There should be a 'Unique' option that could be activated for not allowing repetitions.
I'm trying to develop an input real-time verification on a textfield in a Java applet.
The idea would be to have an input field that, if empty, once the user clicks in it it would show something like "0,00". Once the user starts to press the keys, only numbers should be accepted, and it would start to fill the text like this (imagine I input the numbers:
1,2,3,4,5,6):
"0,01" -> "0,12" -> "1,23" -> "12,34" -> "123,45" -> "1.234,56".
If the field is not empty the user can change the values but there will always be a "," dividing the decimal numbers.
I've been able to allow only numbers to be accepted but how can produce this kind of behavior? I know this may be a very specific question but any links or examples would be much appreciated. Thank you.
You will have to provide an input handler, that not only filters the input, but also calls a preset callback (made by you), that will update the required field in the way you want it to be updated.
You can use some functions, that can format numbers, given a specific format.
Basically, just keep a count on number of digits, already input, then parse it as a plain integer then multiply it by a power of 10, derived from the format, in your example would be something like 10 raised to the power of (numberOfInputDigits -2).
