I have downloaded the WP 8 SDK. It actually installed some Visual Studio Express 2012. I dont want that. How do I open and run my WP 8 projects in Visual Studio 2013? Please Help!

No, you can't use VS 2015 for WP7 development. You even can't use VS 2013 for that. Only VS 2010 and 2012 can be used to develop apps for WP7.

No. Device development (except Windows Phone) must be done in Studio 2008 (or Studio 2005).
