Joomla 2.5.7 editing text item under an image on homepage

I'm new to Joomla and I need to edit text under a logo on our home page. How or where can I do this. I am using Joomla 2.5.7

I updated my Joomla website from 1.5.26 to 2.5 and then to 3.4, now when I try to write new article or edit previous articles there is no "images & links" tab.
Try this;
Go to your back end and under article options > editing layout, make sure you have images and links enabled for back-end. Could be as simple as this?

Because the easy of joomla 3, then I want to upgrade joomla 2.5.9 and joomla 2.5.11 of my own to joomla 3.11

In your Joomla backend, when you first login, you will see a Quick Icon telling you whether Joomla is up to date or not. Click that button, then in the top right, click the "Options" button. Then in the drop down list, click on "Short Term Support", then "Save and Close".
It will then show you that there is an update available
I am currently creating a component for Joomla 2.5.
I would like to add a custom button to the TinyMCE editor, but being in the context of a Joomla component, I can not add files or code inside the TinyMCE editor plugin...
Is someone able to tell me what I am suppose to use to do so?

Editor buttons are built as editors-xtd plugins. You may look at the readmore button, which is only added in article context.
I am using Joomla 1.5.24 and installed VirtueMart 1.1.9 stable.
I have added a new menu item in the vendor section on simple layout by editing header.php, but the item not displaying on extended layout.
How can I add the new item in extended layout also. Where do I need to edit?

on k2 dashboard you will get the option to import joomla content.
look at http://yoursite/administrator/index.php?option=com_k2
on top toolbar last button is to import joomla content.
