How to enable the register button (which is greyed out) for new plug-ins in Sybase Central? - sybase-ase15

I want to register the plug-in for Replication Manager in Sybase Central but the register button is greyed out for new plug-ins.
In Sybase Central's Help section; it says:
"The Register button is disabled if the .screpository600 file is read-only. On a multi-user operating system, the System Administrator is responsible for registering new plug-ins and you may not have permission to write to this file."
Any solutions?
Thanks in advance,
Ali

Fail to create ODBC Systems Datasource for OBIEE 12.2.1.4 Admin tool

On the client machine where Admin tool is installed, navigate to "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools".
Click on Data Sources (ODBC) to open it.
Navigate to the System DSN page, and click on "Add" button.
Select the Oracle BI Server-[ORACLE_HOME] as the driver name.
However, getting the following error:
The setup routines for the Oracle BI Server ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 1114: A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed. (OBIEE server <ORACLE HOME>\oracle_common..\bi\bifoundation\server\bin\nqssetup.dll)
This problem can be solved by removing the Oracle_Home from the windows environments variable.

Issue commiting to Genexus Server

I'm following this tutorial: https://training-legacy.genexus.com/en/training/global/courses/smart-devices-en/introduction-to-genexus-16
and i have the Genexus 16-trial version.
In the end of the "First Transaction design" lesson, you have to send the changes to Genexus server,
but this is what happens when i open the "Team Development" page
If i enter the link in the message, from my browser https://sandbox.genexusserver.com/v16/ i can login normally, authenticating with Genexus Account and i can see my knowledge base in there.
I have pending commits, following the steps of the tutorial but i can't commit them. I wrote a commit message and pressed commit at the right bottom corner of the window and it rerturns a similar message:
error: GAM11: The user or password is incorrect.
Failed: Commit
The only 3 user and password i found were:
When creating the KB (if you disable Windows NT integrated security) but i couldn't find a valid user id and password for that, also the tutorial doesn't do this so i doubt this is it.
At tools -> Genexus Account, i can enter my email and password, and i think the IDE asks you to do this when sending the KB to the Server the first time, but when i fill it with the same credentials i use to login in to the website and press "sign in" now, it doesn't give any response.
Lastly There's the Windows Generic credential that is created but i don't even know how, just found it browsing at the genexus wiki and i have no idea what interaction it has with all this (if it does).
it is below preferences. If you do not have the view near KB explorer then you should go to the menu toolbar —> View —> Other tool windows --> preferences in order to activate it.

Note: Trial has no properties available below TeamDevelopment Tab

Could you double check if you have the correct credentials below TeamDevelopment node?

How to make change OBIEE RPD in online mode

When trying to open OBIEE RPD in online mode, I'm getting error window, RPD will open in Read-only mode. This means I can not make any changes. There are few option, which is enable when we open RPD in online mode. So, I need RPD open in online mode.
I tried all solution mentioned below links, but I'm still having same issue :
https://community.oracle.com/thread/2416619?tstart=0
https://community.oracle.com/thread/2290410?tstart=0
https://community.oracle.com/thread/2457755?tstart=0
http://siebel.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/siebel-analytics-l/unable-to-open-rpd-in-online-mode-1264337
None of the above links was helpful in my case. Could anyone suggest any other solution ?
PS : I'm using OBIEE 11g.
I would try this:
Go to Enterprise Manager.
Select the performance tab.
Uncheck the “Disallow RPD Updates” checkbox.
Apply the change and Restart the server.
Now try to edit in Online mode.
Oracle says that if you attempt to open a repository that is loaded into Oracle BI Server, the repository opens in read-only mode. Only one Administration tool session at a time can edit a repository in offline mode. If you want to edit the repository while it is loaded, you must open it in online mode.

Why does my XAMPP control panel crash every time I stop apache?

I am trying to enable some extensions in my php. If I want to initiate the changes I have to reset the apache server in XAMPP. But I just keep getting a window that says xampp-control.exe has stopped working and gives me options:
Debug Program
Close Program
Check Online for a Solution and Close Program
No matter which option I choose it will then give me this Application Error:
Exception EAccess in modele 'xampp-control.exe' at 001ABEFE. Access Violation at address 005ABEFE in module 'xampp-control.exe'. Read of address 00000042. I have read that I should just install a WAMPP server. Is there a way I can successfully reset the Apache Server?
Possible workarounds are listed on XAMPP's forum here
There are some possible workarounds:
Enable back the write privileges and to be aware of this potential issue
Modify the ini file with an editor the properties you need or
To run the XAMP Control panel as administrator
Running it as administrator worked for me.

User mycomputer\myloginName does not have required permissions

I am trying to access the report manager url for SSRS. But, I keep on getting the error below -
User mycomputer\myloginName does not have required permissions. Verify that sufficient permissions have been granted and Windows User Account Control (UAC) restrictions have been addressed.
I tried to run my browser as admin as described here - User '' does not have required permissions, SSRS 2008 on Windows 8
with no success. I also don't see the 'site settings' on top-right corner as mentioned by so many people. Also, I cannot go through the pain of reinstalling SQL server all over again. I don't want to disable UAC.
I am unable to do anything because of this problem.
How do I fix this problem?
This solution is for Internet Explorer. I don't know how it can be done for firefox or chrome.

http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlexpress/thread/9b5a8763-84ce-46d0-b011-067ad39223d1/
See the solutions by Chirag Shah. Follow only up to step 13. I could not follow Step 14 because I found no home dialog box.
In the steps Chirag talks about some URL's. I don't really understand the meaning of any of those URL's. So, I used the URL under "Report Manager URL" in "Reporting Services Configuration Manager". It was
http://localhost:8080/MyReportServer.
The 8080 is a port number.
Once you finished this, go to the link below and follow all the steps -
http://www.soheib.com/technical-knowledge/sql-server-2012-reporting-services-uac-user-access-control/
In the 7th step, I saw a lot of check boxes. I selected all of them.
Finally, I can rest in peace. Hope it works for you too.
Also, when making the accounts described in the above link, you might see "BUILTIN\Administrators" account. Ignore it - thats what i did.
**END OF POST**
Steps taken from Chirag Shah's post -
Configure the report server for local administration. To access the report server and Report Manager locally, follow these steps:
Start Windows Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click Security.
Click Trusted Sites.
Click Sites.
Under Add this Web site to the zone, type http://ServerName. If you are not using HTTPS for the default site, click to clear the Require server certification (https:) for all sites in this zone check box.
Click Add.
Repeat step 7f and step 7g to add the http localhost URL, and then click Close.
Note This step enables you to start Internet Explorer and open either the localhost or the network computer name of the server for both the Report Server application and the Report Manager application.
Create role assignments that explicitly grant you access together with full permissions. To do this, follow these steps:
Start Internet Explorer together with the Run as administrator option. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, right-click Internet Explorer, and then click Run as administrator.
Open Report Manager. By default, the Report Manager URL is http://ServerName/reports. If you use SQL Server Express with Advanced Services SP2, the Report Manager URL is http://ServerName/reports$sqlexpress. If you use a named instance of Reporting Services, the Report Manager URL is http://ServerName/reports$InstanceName
i was receiving blank page after i was logging exactly 3 times on my report server URL.
i've Turn Off Internet Explorer Enhanced Security. On different OS's it is in different location. find the location and turn it off.
I hope this will help you.
