I have a phonegap application that has some layout problems. I can run the app in browser for the most part, and this usually get me over the line. But with a new design I need to debug the application layout on windows phone 8.
I'm currently looking at weinre but its not showing anything on the desktop when browsing the local server, I have added the link to my application I have cleaned up everything I can think of. Still blank. Any good tuts around the ones I have read just copy and paste the original docs or are not on my same error.
There's a public weinre server available here:
https://the-weinre.herokuapp.com/
You may have better luck with that than with your local server. There's a demo available on that page, give that a try and see if it works on your windows 8 mobile device.
We are seeing some weirdness on a Grails 2.1.1 app in IE8.
We implemented datatables in a, well, table of data. This datatable works fine locally when running with grails run-app in both IE8 (what we have to support) and in Chrome (what we want to use).
If we do grails war and grails run-war locally we get the same thing -- it looks fine.
But when we deploy it to our Dev environment, which uses tcServer, it looks fine in Chrome but in IE8 it seems that not all the styling is there. There are no headers, for example, and the blank cells have no border. The Datatable works fine -- I can search in the input box, and if I click where the header should be, it runs the sort.
Any ideas?
The difference between local and remote was IE8 Compatibility Mode. It was turned on locally but the intranet has it shut off. Turning it off locally at least lets us change the CSS rules.
I've got an issue whereby when a user logs into a website using Firefox, it works.
When the user logs in using internet explorer, it doesn't work. I've checked and tried compatibility mode, and that doesn't make any difference.
Does anyone have any idea why when using IE, it would redirect back to the login page, but it doesn't happen on firefox or chrome?
Thoughts?
All I did was reboot the server completely and it started working again.
That was so strange.
I have an MVC3 C# .Net web app. The app works fine when launching the website from external browsers (i.e., the browser on my machine and other users' machine). However, when launched on the web server itself, I receive the following error
'sessionStorage' is undefined
...when loading an web page. It's the type of error that displays the little yellow icon at the bottom of the browser.
Any ideas? I must be missing on the server's browser.
IE7 doesn't support sessionStorage. You can use it starting from IE8.
I would like to know whether there is any app similar to webrunner(formerly prism). this firefox addon allows web applications to be launched from the desktop and configured independently of the default web browser , somewhat similar to chrome's application shortcut.
In chrome it will not allow to have multiple tabs inside the same instance but webrunner can. That's the main reason why I stick with webrunner . Now the problem is that the creators of webrunner discontinued its development, So it will not support on latest versions of firefox. Please suggest me some app similar to webrunner .
Chrome + Profile Manager extension (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/pobhfaiabikkbaheoohmojdkkdmladgo#detail/pobhfaiabikkbaheoohmojdkkdmladgo) provides an OK substitute.
