I tried to install sonar qube plugin from http://downloads.sonarsource.com/eclipse/eclipse/ in Mule Studio Version (3.5.0) with Mule runtime (3.4.0). For my requirement I cannot got with the latest version of studio.
The following is the error message I am getting when trying to install the plugin in Mule studio
The operation cannot be completed. See the details.
Details:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: SonarQube Integration for Eclipse 3.5.0.20150804-1512-RELEASE (org.sonar.ide.eclipse.feature.feature.group 3.5.0.20150804-1512-RELEASE)
I tried installing the Sonar Qube plugin from the Eclipse marketplace, SonarQube 3.5.0 was listed there, but it was also mentioned that it has been deprecated and SonarLint 1.1.0 should be used instead.
I went ahead with the installation but as you reported it couldn't be completed as there seems to be a problem with the SonarQube Integration for Eclipse component.
However, can you try creating an offline copy of the update site and then try installing the plugin in studio?

EDIT
I continued with the same SonarQube installation, it took a lot of time and eclipse had to look for various alternate solutions (15 in total), but it finally came up with this dialog.
So, while installing the plugin, unselect the 2 components (if you don't need it) and move ahead with installation, I was able to successfully complete it, eclipse restarted and it was all done.

while installing SonarQube through eclipse market place, giving me some error given below
Will not be installed
1: SonarQube Erlang Configuration helper

how to get rid of this problem ?
Don't choose to install Erlang connector if you don't work on an Erlang project (using ErlIDE).
We recently installed SCMActivity plugin in our 3.6.1 installation and it worked without a hitch. Now that we are prepping to move to 4.4, installing the same plugin (version 1.8) does not yield same results - svn blame is not working. I am not sure why.
Our setup is all Centos, SVN 1.8, Sonar 4.4, SCMActivity plugin 1.8.
Since SonarQube 4.5, you need to turn on SCM decoration on the Component Viewer to be able to see SCM information. See the documentation on the SCM Tab.
I am using Eclipse Helios and want to migrate to Indigo.
I have installed Indigo and m2e and subclipse plugin. I was able to import maven project as well as projects from svn.
But from the next day, Svn is missing from perspective and while trying to import maven projects, I am not able to find maven in the list.
I have uninstalled and installed again but same issue occured again.
Is it because both Helios and Indigo installed in my machine ?
Please help me solve this problem.
Is it because both Helios and Indigo installed in my machine ?
That shouldnt create any issue at all. I have multiple versions of eclipse installed in my system and they all seem to work fine.
As far as the m2e and subclipse plugin is concenred, I have used it personally on Indigo without any issue at all and there doesn't seem to be any incompatibility issue.
It maybe possible that eclipse plugins have gotten a bit messy and need a re-start. Goto the directory where you have installed eclipse and add this line on the top of the eclipse.ini file.
-clean
-startup
....the rest of the settings and params
Then start your eclipse, it will attempt to clean and re-load each plugin again.
I can not install gradle plugin for Eclipse Helios.
I have tried to install gradle plugin as it was mentioned here (http://docs.spring.io/sts/docs/2.9.0.old/reference/html/gradle/installation.html)
I have installed STS for Eclipse Helios via Eclipse Marketplace without any errors. Then I have tried to install gradle plugin via Help -> install new software and typed http://dist.springsource.com/release/TOOLS/gradle. Tried to install gradle plugin, but installation hangs with the following picture for hours and plugin is not installed.
What am I doing wrong? Appreciate any help.
Finally, found a solution: installed gradle integration via Spring dashboard Extensions sections after intallation of eclips STS plugin for Helios from eclipse market place. It took some time to install gradle plugin, but finally it was installed
I want to run a Hadoop MapReduce program (for example WordCount) with NetBeans. I found that there is "KarmaSphere studio for Hadoop" that is a plugin in NetBeans.
I followed the instructions given in the link below, to install the plugin : http://www.hadoopstudio.org/home/installation-guide/
But, when I add the plugin name and URL, the "KarmaSphere Studio" does not appear in my available plugins. So I can not download and install it.
I have NetBeans 7.3.1 with JDK7.
Anybody knows what should I do?
It seems netbeans is not supported by karmasphere studio for hadoop. For programming Hadoop in Eclipse, see here http://arifn.web.id/blog/2012/05/15/programming-hadoop-in-eclipse.html
