I tried to download an existing joomla 3.3 project to my local xampp htdocs folder. I copied the database and changed the database connection data in configuration.php
Afterwards it seemed to work, frontend and backend login works perfectly, but as soon as I navigate to another page (/index.php?option=com_fabrik&view=list&listid=25&Itemid=112) I get a nicely styled error page which says "Could not connect to MySQL."
I tried to google this, but it's not like this is a blank page with the error message. The connection to the database must be at least partially working, otherwise I wouldn't be able to login and I wouldn't get such a nice HTML Error page in the same design as the rest of the page.
I am absolutely new to joomla. How can I find out what the problem is? Any hints, ideas? Thanks in advance.
I just "solved" my own problem. Turns out that "fabrik" has its own database connection data. In /administrator I navigated to components - fabrik - connections and edited "site database" there. And now it works!

I am new to Magento, We have one Magento 1.9 version website. Actually I want to change the host, for this, I took all files backup from the server and also exported the database and then I have uploaded all files into another host(Godaddy) and imported the database. Everything working fine at the admin panel or backend pages, but front end pages not loading properly, just its loading header part of the page.
I didn't change anything in the files, I just transferred the files from one host into another hosting, but I don't know why frontend pages are not loading.
Please anyone give me a solution to fix that issue. Please see the below screenshot for reference. Thank you in advance.
This behavior could be due to a PHP error that is not being printed to the screen because of the PHP configuration. Try enabling print error on PHP and see if anything shows up. Contact your provider (Godaddy) for guidance.
Also, ensure that all configuration on admin panel is set. When you upload database and make a new installation, even when uploading the old database, if you do not specify the same old encryption key, some configuration will be missing, for example payment provider tokens and so on.
Check also if your home page CMS still exists and is configured to show on home page. Check this on CMS pages and maybe on your theme configuration.
system -> configuration -> general -> web -> homepage CMS
For any further guidance, would need more details.
I really stuck on this issue, everytime i log in into magento admin, it's give me an ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE on google chrome and Connection reset on Mozilla.
The shop is still accessable, but it's load very slowly. It's working fine before, and suddenly become like this.
I can't find a similiar issue like this, mostly are the shop that return an empty response and they still can access the admin page and it's caused of enabling flat category/products set up.
I'm not sure if client enabling the flat category/products. If it so, what table should i edit using phpmyadmin?
since i can't access the admin page, or there are another thing that cause this? some error code, some files missing in admin directory or htaccess thing, actually i'm not doing changes on htaccess before. Really need your help.
Restarting apache and mysql worked for me
service httpd restart
service mysqld restart

I'm using Joomla 2.5 and the backend is not shown correctly. It seems that the template is not loaded correctly.

The page as such is shown correctly but as you see, the backend isn't...
Try doing this:
Rename the admin templates folder on the host server (for a backup)
FTP transfer of an admin template folder from another Joomla site and then copy it from the FTP location using a file manager into the admin templates folder.
You could have a corrupt file or just missing some files from installation. This has happened to people before and by doing these two steps it seemed to solve their issue.

You probably have a fatal error. Go to configuration.php and change error reporting to development. This will render the error to the browser (alternatively check your apache error log). I predict you probably have a plugin problem -- perhaps your host updated PHP version for example. Whatever it is, deal with that problem.
This time i am having a weird problem about a Joomla 1.5 website.
When I try to add new article (number 3093) to a section/category that is in the menu and then I try to retrieve it, when i call the single article page i get an error. I can't say it's a 500 error because in my hosting logs and in joomla log i can't find any trace of the error.
Even when I curl the documents what i get is an empty response.
I checked the MYSQL databases and the article are here, i tried to recover a backup of the database and everything went ok, but when i try to add the article > 3093 i cannot retrieve them.
I tried changing themes, removing mod_rewrite, debugging php and mysql, but everything is working fine, i think that something is going wrong with the controller routing.
Anyone can help, any idea or similar experience can be appreciated
I am so stumped with this and I need some help from the community. I moved my joomla site over to a new server and now the content has disappeared from the front end, I am not getting an errors.... Can someone offer any suggestions on where to look for the problem? my config is fine and I am pretty sure my database is aswell because all my original articles are there.

If you moved to a new server at a different hosting company, Joomla is probably either
not looking in the right place for the database, or
not using the right credentials (host, port, username, password, whatever) for the database.
That might also be true if you moved to a different server at the same hosting company, although it's a little less likely. Look at the configuration.php file.
Assuming you have shell access, make sure you can access the database through its command-line utility. Then make sure Joomla is using the same credentials.
This is a really odd one.
The database credentials are obviously correct otherwise the site wouldn't load at all and would result in a MySQL error. Try re-assigning a new temporary article to the homepage else download the K2 component, import your articles and assign the K2 article to the homepage.
Update:
If you have the demo package for the template you are using the follow these steps:
create a sub domain
install the demo package with sample data
export the #__content database table from the main website
replace the #__content table with the one you exported
Make sure your error reporting is on in your server's php.ini file so that you can see what errors php is giving i.e. error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_DEPRECATED
In admin panel, can you see the articles in content menu?
If so, enter in each article and push the Save button.
After you save the article, it should appear again in frontpage (that worked for me).
