I'm using Joomla 2.5 and the backend is not shown correctly. It seems that the template is not loaded correctly.

The page as such is shown correctly but as you see, the backend isn't...
Try doing this:
Rename the admin templates folder on the host server (for a backup)
FTP transfer of an admin template folder from another Joomla site and then copy it from the FTP location using a file manager into the admin templates folder.
You could have a corrupt file or just missing some files from installation. This has happened to people before and by doing these two steps it seemed to solve their issue.

You probably have a fatal error. Go to configuration.php and change error reporting to development. This will render the error to the browser (alternatively check your apache error log). I predict you probably have a plugin problem -- perhaps your host updated PHP version for example. Whatever it is, deal with that problem.

Recently, I've been downloading laravel project on github.
after I tried to run the file on my localhost, I found error message on my browser. which look like this.

you're having problem because the object really doesn't exist in your htdocs directory. You don't have to append xampp after localhost or 127.0.0.1 because xampp will treat it as an object or a folder under htdocs.
if you want to access your services, make sure you have a folder under htdocs and put in your URL localhost/foldername
I moved my site to a VPS server and now I'm getting this error:
Error displaying the error page: JERROR_COULD_NOT_FIND_TEMPLATE
What is it about? Is it a problem with my hosting or just something wrong in the configuration?
I would try:
Disabling all plugins and moudules which were not there when you installed joomla for the first time.
I would also look at your configuration.php to make sure everything is accurate.
First check permissions for the files and then check that your configuration.php file is present and readable and that the MySQL connection settings are still correct.
My Server's PHP has updated to version 5.3 recently. After this upgrade the drupal which is installed on my site doesn't load the pictures which are located in the '/sites/default/files/' directory. It throws 404 error for every picture stored in this path.
I am pretty confused with this. Do I have to make any change to my .htaccess file?
Is it possible directory permissions were changed when php was upgraded? That would be the simplest explanation, since I'm not aware of a reason why php 5.3 would itself cause this to happen.
I found that there was another .htaccess file in my 'sites/default/files/' folder. My web hosting company has obligated me to remove FollowSymLink. But I didn't know that there was another .htaccess file in my drupal folder. I removed that and now everything is working smoothly.
I've just moved a Joomla 1.7 site to a new server.
Administration back-end works fine. Configuration.php seems fine. Get "The requested document was not found on this server." for every page other than Home.
Must be talking to the database OK or I'd get an error. Could this be a problem with the PHP?

Did you clear joomla cache ?
Disable page and/or module caching.
Disable any plugin that optimizes "loading speed".
Try removing SEF URLs (Joomla! and any 3rd party extension).
If you are using a custom .htacess, then use an unmodified joomla one.
Disable some system plugins.
Disable modules in the homepage.
Have you tried using another template (site) ?
You have Seach Engine Friendly URLs enabled in /administrator/ area's global configuration settings. You have probably enabled the option to use the mod_rewrite function which removes the /index.php/ portion of the urls.
It is a requirement of this mode that you have the .htaccess file in place in the root of your site. You probably had this correctly configured on your development server but perhaps forgot to move the file across when you went live. Some FTP programs hide dot files (files starting with a leading dot in the filename) so depending upon how you transferred the files (I'm guessing manually with FTP rather than Akeeba backup or similar) the file may have been missed. Look through your FTP client's options/preferences for an option to show/hide hidden files.
Failing this - the file could be correctly in place - but if you were developing in a sub-folder on your development server you would have set the RewriteBase line to your /sub-folder/
RewriteBase /sub-folder/
Now you've moved to the live server this line could be incorrect. If this is the case, edit the file to Read
RewriteBase /
Chances are it is one or other of these issues - missing .htaccess file or incorrect RewriteBase. A third and nowadays somewhat more unlikely option is that your server doesn't have mod_rewrite enabled - but I think that would result in server 500 errors.
Check whether you are using any modules that is calling database and you have not changed DB details in that module after migration. If admin panel is working fine then I think problem with some modules that are used in front-end. You can do debugging by disabling few suspected modules and check whether your site works fine or not. Else provide some more information about your site so that I can check further.
This is my first post to this Forum, please forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere--I did search and was unable to find an answer to my particular problem, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am working on a WP site for a client who wants to upload images to new posts (who doesn't hey?). In setting up the site I have done the following:
1) Enabled File Upload by CHMOD default dir to 777.
2) Changed max file size.
3) Changed allowed filetypes to include necessary file types.
When I try to upload anything I get the following error:
“Bobst Expertfold 80 110 (Dec 2010).jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
The uploaded file could not be moved to /var/www/vhosts/glossopcartons.com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/2010/12.
The above error mentions 'glossopcartons.com', this WP site is actually sat on glossopcartons.co.uk. It's obvious that there is some kind of virtual host configuration going on and the image is trying to be uploaded to a folder on a different domain (glossopcartons.com instead of glossopcartons.co.uk).
I don't manage the hosting, I have just been assigned with the build. However, I have access to the plesk cpanel but I dont know what I need to do?
Does anyone know what is causing this problem? The site has actually been made live and this issue has been spotted after the launch(everything worked fine on the test server), and I am scratching my head trying to figure it out.
Is there something I can put in my wp-config.php or .htaccess file to tell WP to upload to a different location.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First thing is 777 permisions are too loose and will get you hacked; they should be no more than 755. Hardening WordPress « WordPress Codex
For the difference in URLs: that sounds like a DNS or virtual host config, but try adding the full URL path in Settings>>Media Settings. Might not work.
Why are there sites at both domains? Why not domain forward glossopcartons.com to glossopcartons.co.uk?
Make sure PHP lets you upload files larger than what you are trying to upload.
Experienced the same problem on several old sites. This problem occurs sporadically and is not commonly occuring on other websites on the same server
Try going to your "Media Settings" page... do you see a "Store uploads in this folder" option with a long path to your uploads folder? If so... this is your problem... WordPress 3.5+ does not seem to require this long path, but more of a site relative path (which is great!)
Change your "Store uploads in this folder" to "wp-content/uploads"... when you "save settings" you should see that field disapear entirely, never to bother us again ;-)
This occured for me when my hosting provider changed the folder structure on the server making this long URL incorrect. Therefore WordPress could not find the "uploads" directory at all.

Update all plugins
Check file permissions 755 on the uploads dir/
