rhc setup Doctype error - installation

I have:
-Windows 10
-ruby 1.9.3p551 (2014-11-13) [i386-mingw32]
-git version 2.6.4.windows.1
When I type in: rhc setup and then i try to log in i get this:
use the server for OpenShift Online: openshift.redhat.com.
Enter the server hostname: |openshift.redhat.com| here is my login
You can add more servers later using 'rhc server'.
RSA 1024 bit CA certificates are loaded due to old openssl compatibility
An unexpected error occurred: invalid character at "<!DOCTYPE "
I need little help here :)

At this step "Enter the server hostname: |openshift.redhat.com|", just hit enter, don't type anything there. If you type something else there it's going to try to connect to that and it won't work.

Ruby Cucumber: Chrome Driver failed to start

I am trying to Launch chrome browser from Ruby Cucumber framework. But i see it is throwing me an error.
I followed the solutions from stack overflow i.e., to re install chrome application but i see it apparently not working for me.
Here is the code from env.rb file.
require 'selenium-webdriver'

As I am using Windows 7, I've tried with older versions of chrome driver even.(V2.3). Yet i failed.
Can someone help me in moving further.
Thanks...!!!!
This is an error when using an older version of the chrome driver such as your version 23 and the latest version of chrome browser.
Upgrade and replace the driver, that your automation path is using for it, to the latest version 27 and this will fix this error.

Issues trying to bootstrap Chef for windows client with knife-windows

I am having some problems trying to bootstrap a windows node for Chef. This node was initially able to be partially bootstrapped, it was getting through most of the process but however, failing near the end - on the windows client itself I can see a number of expected files under C:\Chef
However since upgrading my Ruby and Knife-Windows to remedy the original issue - I am now not able to bootstrap at all, I get the error below:
chefadmin#AUK-CHEFMGT1:~$ knife bootstrap windows winrm 10.28.154.61 -x chefadmin -P xxxxxx
/opt/chefdk/embedded/lib/ruby/gems/2.1.0/gems/chef-12.5.1/lib/chef/mixin/path_sanity.rb:25:
warning: Insecure world writable dir /usr/local/bin in PATH, mode 040777

Remote node responded after 0.01 minutes.
Bootstrapping Chef on 10.28.154.61
ERROR: RuntimeError: Knife-Windows < 1.0 does not support validatorless bootstraps
I've tried a few different versions of knife-windows, initially 1.1.1, and most recently the pre-release version of 1.0.0 rc1, however, they are all giving me this error.
I am not sure why this is a problem, as the validation.pem does exist on the windows client in C:\Chef\
In case it matters, here is my knife.rb config file:
chefadmin#AUK-CHEFMGT1:~$
GNU nano 2.2.6 File: /home/chefadmin/chef-repo/.chef/knife.rb
current_dir = File.dirname(__FILE__)
log_level :info
log_location STDOUT
node_name "chefadmin"
client_key "#{current_dir}/ChefRSA.pem"
validation_client_name "company"
validation_key "#{current_dir}/companyvalidator"
chef_server_url "https://10.28.253.101/organizations/company"
syntax_check_cache_path "#{ENV['HOME']}/.chef/syntaxcache"
cookbook_path ["#{current_dir}/../cookbooks"]
"#{current_dir}/companyvalidator" Does that file exist? Usually that would be something ending in .pem. If that path isn't a thing, it would fall back to new-style bootstrapping which I don't think works on Windows yet.

gitlab-shell ssl cert issues

I've tried now for several hours te set up gitlab and especially gitlab-shell. After being trolled by the documentation I found a sample config, that fitted my needs, but I get an API 500 error :
Running /home/git/gitlab-shell/bin/check
Check GitLab API access: FAILED. code: 500
gitlab-shell self-check failed
Try fixing it:
Make sure GitLab is running;
Check the gitlab-shell configuration file:
sudo -u git -H editor /home/git/gitlab-shell/config.yml
Please fix the error above and rerun the checks.
To explain my current setup:
#/home/git/gitlab-shell/config.yml
user: git
gitlab_url: https://[myfqdn]/
http_settings:
ca_file: "/etc/gitlab-ssl/git-mydomain-chain.pem"
ca_path: "/etc/gitlab-ssl"
self_signed_cert: false
repos_path: "/home/git/repositories/"
auth_file: "/home/git/.ssh/authorized_keys"
redis:
bin: "/usr/bin/redis-cli"
namespace: resque:gitlab
host: localhost
port: 6379
log_level: INFO
audit_usernames: false
In the /etc/gitlab-ssl directory are two files:
* my privatekey git-mydomain-key.pem
* the combinded public key and CA-key git-mydomain-chain.pem
In addition I added the ca-key to the ca-certificates (it's a cacert signed one).
Can anyone help me and tell me what went wrong?
This error has nothing to do with gitlab. This is pure YAML parser (Psych in your case) error.
Line 5 column 3 is:
ca_path:
⇑ HERE
That said you have a strange unterminated string right above:
⇓⇓⇓ WTF?!
ca_file: "/etc/gitlab-ssl/git-mydomain-chain.pem #This file contains my public key and the ca key
Remove everything after hash (inclusive) and close the string quotes.
Hope it helps.

Did you also get the server to trust the client's key? like so:
cf-key -t root-MD5=b8825ba0a0e7017e34b15766d3b3ac58
(on the server)
Also, try restarting cf-serverd in verbose mode with the -v switch on the server, and watch what error messages you get on that end.

Jmeter 2.10 and 2.11 don't let me start a HTTP Script Recorder

I'm having trouble starting a proxy server for jmeter 2.10 and 2.11. I found a couple links here on SO and apache.org but my error message is slightly different that what's written on these links. Per the wiki from apache.org, I don't think I have trouble finding keytool because it returns the path when I do a
which keytool
/usr/bin/keytool
and I don't have trouble creating a file in the jmeter-210 and jmeter-211/bin dirs. This is the error message I get in my jmeter.log file:
ERROR - jmeter.protocol.http.proxy.ProxyControl: Could not initialise key store java.io.IOException: Command :'"keytool" "-genkeypair" "-alias" ":root_ca:" "-dname" "CN=_ DO NOT INSTALL unless this is your certificate (JMeter root CA), OU=Username: COMPANY\user.name, C=US" "-keyalg" "RSA" "-keystore" "proxyserver.jks" "-storepass" "randomstr1" "-keypass" "randomstr1" "-validity" "7" "-ext" "bc:c"' failed, code: 1
keytool error: java.io.IOException: Invalid escaped character in AVA: 's'
I don't know what this "invalid escaped char in AVA" is. My company and username don't have the string "AVA" and I didn't find it in any of the property files in jmeter-21x/bin.
Not sure if this is affecting it but I'm running jmeter from Darwin on a MBP, OSX 10.7.5.
JMeter 2.9 doesn't give me any proxy issues, although, I ran into other issues with it, which is why I tried using these 2 newer versions, which are giving me problems with the proxy server. I'll try going down to 2.8 to see what happens but I'd rather not if I can help it. That and I'm super curious what the issue is with 2.1x and my laptop. Thanks in advance for your help.
EDIT: The COMPANY/user.name part of the error message was changed this way to sanitize the error message, although, I will try at home on my linux box to see if the funny username representation is the cause.
As per sebb response on User Mailing List:
"I suspect it might be in the string "COMPANY\user.name" which is
derived from the Java system property "user.name".
You could try redefining it on the command line (or in
system.properties) to something simpler, for example:
-Duser.name=foobar
A bug has been opened to fix this issue with "\" character:
