Update to xcode 7.3 is not working - xcode

Is someone else having problems to update xcode 7.2 to 7.3?
Firstly there is no update option in App Store. I found a link at App Store xcode 7.3, this link will open your app store on the xcode page, after I press update, a loading spinner appears but after 2 hours of waiting nothing has happened Is there another way to update xcode?
Edit: There is no option update xcode in App Store

xcode 7.3 is not supported in OS lower than 10.11, You need to upgrade your OS to OS X 10.11 or later (El Capitan) and try to upgrade the xcode to 7.3

You can download Xcode yourself from https://developer.apple.com/downloads (an Apple Developer account required).
This is what you should see (I filtered the available downloads by typing "Xcode"):

I had the same problem while I was trying to update to Xcode 8.1 with Waiting.. status on AppStore under Xcode icon. What I has done to fix this is:
1) Go to https://developer.apple.com/download/
2) Press Lunch Application
And when it opens on AppStore, it will refresh the status from Waiting.. to Downloading...

getting Xcode for Mac version 10.15.7

My computer is running macOS Catalina. I have Xcode installed but I cannot open it. I keep getting an error that maybe my OS version cannot run the installed XCode version. There is no update for my computer OS -- Catelina seems to be the latest it's eligible for. How do I get a working version of Xcode?
The error says something about Xcode cannot be installed on Mac HD and that version 11.3 or later required. But I'm betting there has to be an Xcode version for Mac 10.15.7 that I can use. But I cannot figure how to install that.
Yes, as #matt said. MacOS 10.15.7 requires Xcode 12.4, you can find that here: https://developer.apple.com/download/all/?q=Xcode%2012.4
A little extra guidance for Windows users a little lost in finding the right download:
After you have signed in or created an account at developer.apple.com one way to find the download is shown below:
(1) Click on search icon and search for "Xcode support" then in the results click "Xcode - Support"
(2) In the second section of that page click on "Downloads Page"
(3) Finally, search "Xcode 12.4" and you should be able to down the .xip file from the top result
Note that this download can take a while (just over an hour for me).

Xcode 10.1 not updates from 10.0

I just updated to the new Mojave and trying to compile our application to my new iPhone XMax but Xcode tells me:
Could not locate device support files.
This iPhone XS Max is running iOS 12.1 (16B92), which may not be supported by this version of Xcode.
After I checked the about sections of Xcode it shows that the version is: Version 10.0 (10A255).
If I'm checking the App Store it shows that the 10.1 is already out, but I cannot update. All buttons shows just the "open" not the "update". Cannot find any solution. How could it happens?
I didn't find any solution to fix this issue, so the only way was to move Xcode to the trash and then download the whole again...

Message from debugger: unable to attach error for osx app

I have been building mac app on my mac mini and it always worked well but today i faced this error, searched a lot but no luck.
Message from debugger: unable to attach
What i tried:
Clear derived data
Quit Xcode
Restart machine
installation directory set to blank and also to /Applications
Tried Skip Install No / Yes
Using developer Signing certs
M using only Developer certificates and not provisioning profile to sign my cocoa app
Xcode 8.2
OSX 10.12.1
Please help :)
This is what fixed it for me, perhaps it will help others but I do realize the question was for 8.2. I had it set to Xcode 9 "New Build System" disabling this and switching to "Standard Build System" in the Project Settings under the File Menu. I had tried all the other things like killing DerivedData, clean build, restarting Xcode. I also verified that my dependent libraries were set correctly. The only thing that worked was disabling new "New Build System"
I just had this problem today. I have little demo code in a mac project(created with Xcode 9.4). This error just started to occur after I upgraded system to macOS Mojave 10.14. However, in Xcode 10 this project runs no problem(without changing anything). If you can use Xcode 10 it will probably be fixed.
Unfortunately, the above solutions didn't work for me (although I am sure they work for some people).
Here is what worked for me, in case this helps anyone else:
Close Xcode
Open Xcode and Create a new Xcode project
In the iOS template, select Single View App then click Next
yes, I know you are trying to get a macOS app attaching to the debugger :).
Give the iOS app any product name and organization identifier you would like and click Next
Create the new project anywhere you would like (I saved it to my desktop)
Build and run (cmd + r) the iOS app on a simulator like the iPhone 8 (starting a simulator and running the iOS app will take a little time, so have patients)
After the iOS app runs in the simulator, click to stop it from running (the stop button is next to the run button)
Open your macOS app that you are having trouble connecting a debugger to, and build and run it (cmd + r)
This, for some reason, allowed me to connect to the debugger with my macOS app...
Xcode version: 10.1, macOS Mojave version: 10.14.2

i can't update Xcode

I have a macbook air and I went to the store to install Xcode 7.3 and hit the update App button, and a loading icon appeared but after waiting 30 min time nothing happened. I successfully installed simple recorder from the store but I can't install Xcode.
What can i do?
What are the options to download it?
Try restarting your computer to see if Xcode has installed. This will also refresh the app store, so try downloading it again.
If all else fails:
You should uninstall all current versions of Xcode on your Mac. Do this by dragging each application to the Trash can. Delete your trash.
After, try downloading Xcode again and everything should go through.
You aren't aloud to download old versions of Xcode from the App Store.
I suggest you to download the new XCode 8. It works just fine, even if your update button doesn't seem to work. Need to use the App Store. Also, if you happen to be a React Native developer, you may want to follow this article just after having installed this new XCode version.
If you simply cannot install the latest version, I suggest going to www.developer.apple.com and click the Develop Tab, Xcode, Download, sign in with your apple id, and get an Xcode beta version.
www.developer.apple.com -> Login -> Account -> Downloads
If only spinner is showing, without progress. Open Activity monitor and check if installd is running and using a lot of memory. Try killing that process and update again.

Can I upload Xcode builds on macOS 10.12

Will I be capable of submitting an app with Xcode 7.3.1 while on the macOS 10.12 beta? According to this post, it is possible to run Xcode 7 alongside macOS 10.12.
Yes, you can! But if you're tying to do this, you will find two problems.
no .app file provided in bundle
Build with Xcode 7.3.1 then upload using Xcode 8 [Beta]. This will allow you to upload the archive.
When trying to submit to the store you will be faced with this error message:
New apps and app updates must be built with the public (GM) versions of Xcode 6 or later, OS X, and tvOS SDK. Don't submit apps built with beta software including beta OS X builds.
This is because your archive contain the Sierra's mark! I just solved this problem yesterday.
When you archived your app, find your archive in the Organizer, and then:
"Show in finder";
"Show package contents";
In the "xx.xcarchive" file, find the "Products"-"Applications"-"xx.app"(xx is your app's name), "Show package contents" again;
Finally, you can see there has a file named"Info.plist", open it;
Edit the value with a key named "BuildMachineOSBuild", I just change it to "15F34"(it's "El Capitan 10.11.5" 's version);
After that, you can upload this archive use Xcode or Application Loader, whatever you want!
Decided to try it out myself. Both methods of exporting through Xcode and Application Launcher failed with an error stating there was no .app file provided in bundle. Best to stay away from the macOS 10.12 beta if you want to continue developing for iOS 9.
