I was usually working with genymotion, but after I updated (to 2.7 version) it stopped working. It always close immediately, and the only message i get is:
(genymotion quit unexpectedly.)
Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple.
The "detailed information" is huge and difficult to understand, but it starts from:
Thread 0 Crashed:: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
0 libcrypto.1.0.0.dylib 0x00000001039b8758 lh_new + 196
I tried:
Reinstalling genymotion.
Reinstalling virtualbox
Removing /User/myuser/.Genymotion folder
Removing the host-only adapter "vboxnet0" (and all the others adapters).
I can't find the log of the genymotion app. Also I can't find any lower version than 2.7 for downloading (for osx).
I am a little desperate, so any advice will be great.
Thanks in advance.
Guille
Having the same problem. Tried rolling back to 2.6.0 and downloaded virtual devices all over again - Genymotion will start without crashing and devices eventually build but will no longer emulate react-native from the command line, which is all I use Genymotion for. Hoping someone can chime in on this as Genymotion support have been unresponsive.

I'm running into an issue where my iMac, with over 100G free, gets Disk Full Error after running Flutter for an hour or so.
When I reboot I get dozens folders in my Trash "Recovered Files" that are around 2G each.
The issue is actually described fairly well here (with screenshots): https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/56270
However, the moderator closed every comment as "off topic" (seems like several people are having this problem). So I figured it may be a good idea to bring this here to see if anyone else has found a solution for this?
I'm running VSCode and when I run Flutter Doctor I'm 100% compliant. Using the latest Flutter/Dart/MacOS/Xcode/Android Studio versions. I am primarily building my Flutter app to macOS platform (desktop).
I tried the suggestions in the above issue post and none of these worked for me (re-installing cocoa pods, re-installing Xcode, re-installing Android Studio).
I actually ran into this issue about a week ago. The comment linked to had put me on the right track, where they mentioned it only happens when they have an iOS device attached to their machine.
If you see something like this error in your VSCode output log when launching your app, then it's likely the same issue.
Failed _shouldMakeReadyForDevelopment
If you have a device attached and it's locked, I believe something in the Flutter env attempts a connection over and over causing these files to fill up.
However, this happened to me once even when I didn't attach a device and I found out it was because I had "wirelessly" attached a device in Xcode when I was doing iOS development for another project. So just sitting at my desk with my iPhone nearby was enough to cause it to try to connect over and over again, even if it wasn't attached.
I removed my iPhone from Xcode's wireless device list and that seems to fix it.
Can confirm, running flutter with an attached ios device eats disk space.
This is happening to myself and another developer on my team. I lost 200 GB of disk space yesterday. It's a frustrating productivity killer.
I am using the latest flutter
flutter doctor reports everything as fine
xcrun --find simctl is fine
Using Android studio 3.6.3
Latest patched Catalina 10.15.4
This morning I opened the Android Studio IDE with an android device and an ios device connected. I opened a get info window on my hard drive and left it open. Then I did nothing but watch the info window. No builds or anything. Over the course of a couple minutes, I watched 7 GB disappear.
I shut down the IDE and the loss stopped. I reopened the IDE with only the android device attached. I waited and watched for a few minutes. No loss of disk space.
Then I reopened the IDE with just an ipad attached and the losses started again. Then I unplugged the ipad and left the IDE open and the losses stopped.
Same here but happens also when just running Android Emulator.
This needs to be fixed A.S.A.P - its a dealbreaker!
When the problem happens and the disk runs full, my system slows down so much I can hardly do a thing. To free up disk space and get operational again quickly, there's two options:
Restart. Then the cache files are either deleted or end up in "Recovered Files" in Trash, as described by #william-t, from where you can delete them.
Directly delete the cache files in "TemporaryItems" (for me that's below /private/var/folders/bc/gw57z9dn4rn2v6df7306k9sh0000gn/T)
I know this is not a solution to the root cause of the issue, and it still helps a lot, as long as there's no true fix...
Hoping this is the right place to ask this. I'm trying to learn React Native and I'm using Expo as my medium for deployment, but I'm finding that I'm literally getting 20 minutes at a time before my browser fails to connect with the error code ERR_CONNECTION_FAILED. I've tried the following:
netsh winsock reset, then the related ipconfig commands for flushing DNS settings
Clearing browser caches
Updating drivers
I'm at my wits end as the only thing that completely solves it is restarting my laptop, which for obvious reasons isn't feasible every 20 minutes, so I'm hoping somebody can help.
I'm experiencing the same issue with Expo in this environment:
Windows 10, version 1909 (OS build 18363.476)
using WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
These links were useful to learn why this is happening:
https://github.com/expo/expo-cli/issues/99
https://github.com/microsoft/WSL/issues/2913
https://github.com/microsoft/WSL/issues/3951
In essence, this issue seems to be due to a problem with WSL. Per a post in the first link, I tried the alternative to restarting the computer and it worked - it made the ERR_CONNECTION_FAILED problems disappear...for 20 minutes. That alternative is as follows:
WIN+R -> services.msc
Find LxssManager
Right-click -> Restart
This restarts the WSL service which also means that the WSL instance that was running gets terminated. This is less than ideal, but at least a computer restart is avoided. The third link says this WSL problem is fixed in Windows Insider Build 18890.
I am now considering spinning up a VM to run Ubuntu instead of trying to use WSL for Expo projects.
I uninstalled the latest Windows updates, and the problem has not surfaced since.
My Genymotion hasn't been opening since i updated it a few weeks ago. I'm on OSX 10.11.5. From what i can skim from the apple crash log is its saying "Illegal instruction: 4" and according to this guy its a generic problem with my binaries.
I have uninstalled multiple times, and read Genymotion's docs for removing, and reinstalled the .apps from thier latest version, but it still crashes. Even reinstalled virtualbox to see if that would help.
So i think the problem is with apple or with some settings file that was not documented that stayed behind and keeps messing it up.
Does anyone know of how i can completely remove everything Genymotion related so i can do a fresh clean install?
This has been ongoing for a few weeks now and i have not heard anything back from their support. Thanks.
See this Question in SO, which has the same issue.
No solutions yet, but install the 2.6.0 this still works.
Can anyone tell me what to do. I'm trying to install XDK 2366 on windows 10. When i click the xdk_web_master_2366.exe file it says Installing Intel XDK then after 5-10 seconds it just disappears and the installation stops. No error message. I've tried to turn off the firewall and disable windows defender but still facing the same problem. If anyone can assist i would greatly appreciate it.. Thanx
See the instructions on this Intel XDK forum post for doing a complete uninstall, in case you have a partial install that is getting in the way. Do everything up to the "finally" step. Those instructions were written for people that wanted to stay with a previous version of the XDK.
Do not install that older version that is posted in that thread, it will be obsolete very soon.
I have been using Windows 7 applications within Mac iOS software for a few months (using Parallels), but recently it has stopped working. Every time I try to open a windows 7 application the application shows a broken, corrupted page that looks like static.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Parallels but this has been unsuccessful.
Thank you in advance.
Also, just before this happened my computer prompted that I was running out of memory.
Restart your computer and reset PRAM by holding down
'cmd+option+p+r'
After that try opening up the application again. If the issue persists, close the windows session and allow it to use some more memory and try again.
