How do i get Genymotion not to crash on start in OSX? - macos

My Genymotion hasn't been opening since i updated it a few weeks ago. I'm on OSX 10.11.5. From what i can skim from the apple crash log is its saying "Illegal instruction: 4" and according to this guy its a generic problem with my binaries.
I have uninstalled multiple times, and read Genymotion's docs for removing, and reinstalled the .apps from thier latest version, but it still crashes. Even reinstalled virtualbox to see if that would help.
So i think the problem is with apple or with some settings file that was not documented that stayed behind and keeps messing it up.
Does anyone know of how i can completely remove everything Genymotion related so i can do a fresh clean install?
This has been ongoing for a few weeks now and i have not heard anything back from their support. Thanks.

See this Question in SO, which has the same issue.
No solutions yet, but install the 2.6.0 this still works.

xcode 8 not running

I installed the Xcode 8. But it stuck at licence agreement screen. I clicked agree and enter system password but Xcode stuck at same screen. Have anyone faced the same issue and their resolution.
OS Version 10.11.6 (El Captain)
I think I have faced a similar issue for an older version of Xcode. What you should do is to delete the app completely and try to reinstall it. If that does not work for you, try upgrading to the latest version of MacOS and try again. I believe this is a bug on Apple's end, but it shouldn't occur again if you try these things.
Also, make sure you are connected to the internet. If you are not, it may not be able to understand that you have accepted their agreement.

Intel xdk 2366 not installing on windows 10

Can anyone tell me what to do. I'm trying to install XDK 2366 on windows 10. When i click the xdk_web_master_2366.exe file it says Installing Intel XDK then after 5-10 seconds it just disappears and the installation stops. No error message. I've tried to turn off the firewall and disable windows defender but still facing the same problem. If anyone can assist i would greatly appreciate it.. Thanx
See the instructions on this Intel XDK forum post for doing a complete uninstall, in case you have a partial install that is getting in the way. Do everything up to the "finally" step. Those instructions were written for people that wanted to stay with a previous version of the XDK.
Do not install that older version that is posted in that thread, it will be obsolete very soon.

Trouble downloading XCode 6.1 on Mac OS X Yosemite

after upgrading my Mac to Yosemite I've had trouble downloading XCode 6.1
Every time I tried I got an error saying:
This item is temporarily unavailable. Try again later.
I have tried again later, for a couple days, with no luck.
I have found this Apple forum post really helpful, but I did not want to download the third party tools.
I have solved the problem by searching for XCode:
sudo find / -name *XCode*
Which returned:

By renaming all of the com.apple.DeveloperTools folders/files above to aaacom.apple.DeveloperTools I have managed to get my App Store to download the new XCode.
What I wanted to ask was, has Yosemite changed the way that the Mac cache works?
I ask this because I noticed that some people had not managed to fix the issue by removing the usually recommended folder named com.apple.appstore. I can't say if this would/would not work since this is the first thing I tried so I'm asking if the Mac cache has changed, and if so in what way?
Edit 1:
I have only now noticed the really useful command that was posted by Elliott Slaughter in the same thread which is a slightly more general cache deletion than my command:
rm -rf "$(getconf DARWIN_USER_CACHE_DIR)/com.apple.appstore"
Where on my machine:
...$ echo $(getconf DARWIN_USER_CACHE_DIR)
/var/folders/zn/ltz89cf17wj09s3bz6rnrwyc0000gn/C/
Edit 2:
So my assumption is that deleting com.apple.appstore wouldn't work because XCode seems to be referenced in the com.apple.DeveloperTools folders. Am I right?
I was dealing with this same problem, but I have not yet updated to Yosemite (Still on Mavericks).
To be specific my problem was I started to download Xcode 6.1.1, and then paused it, or got disconnected for some reason (I don't remember), and then could not download the app for days. From that point forward I received the error message.

I followed the comment by Danilo Muñoz on the second page of the Apple form Post Nonsensickle posted.
Go to the "App Store" > "Store" > "Check for Unfinished Downloads ..."
This fixed the bug.
As for your question, It doesn't seem that Yosemite changed the way that the Mac cache works, because I seem to have had the same problem on Mavericks.
It might be network error You can download directly it with this links

Xcode DMG for Snow Leopard consistently not mounting

I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and attempting to install Xcode 4.2 for Snow Leopard. (This one, the blue download link from the dev center).
However, the DMG always gives this error (not recognised) when I try to open it.
Does anyone have any experience with this problem? It seems odd that all other DMGs should work apart from this one. Could this mean my computer is incompatible with Xcode 4.2? Or, am I downloading the wrong one?
I hope this is an acceptable question for SO, as I hope someone has had and solved this problem. General Googling for an unrecognised DMG has yielded nothing but 'redownload DMG', which I have done three times already.
Many, many thanks.
Despite downloading the DMG three times, I tried in Safari instead of Chrome as I had been doing and it working perfectly.
If anyone else has this similar 'DMG not recognised' error and finds their way here: try another browser.

Broke XAMPP trying to downgrade. Need to eradicate and re-install

When my laptop wiped a few months back, I had to re-install, and thinking I didn't have the original disk image anymore, I downloaded and installed what was then the latest version of XAMPP (1.7.2a). I quickly became annoyed with some of the quirks of the new version's included version of phpMyAdmin, however, and so I frankly stopped bothering with it for a while.
Recently, I stumbled across the disk image for the original version I installed (0.7.4) again, and so I decided to attempt to downgrade it by following the instructions on their forums for uninstalling it in OS X (link), after which I installed the older version. It appeared to have installed just fine, but when I attempted to access phpMyAdmin, I ended up getting the following:
Existing configuration file (./config.inc.php) is not readable.
Removing, logging out, and re-installing again still produced the same error (in fact, the running commentary on the XAMPP control panel seems to indicate it may have screwed up XAMPP's Apache installation somehow, albeit pages still appear to load properly).
Shy of an archive and install, what options do I have to try and eradicate all traces of the old installations of XAMPP so it can start fresh with an installation of my desired version?
Deleted the folder for the current installation, installed the desired version on top of it. Re-installed Snow Leopard and it fixed the installation such that it's been running without issue since.
