Is it possible to configure a parameterMap to send server only changed item, or only actual added ... not all models?
I found the function isNew() and dirty in kendo documentation for check if is model edited or if is it new, but it's not working for me.
Here is my code:
parameterMap: function(options, operation) {
if (operation == "create" ) {
for(var i = 0; i < options.models.length; i++) {
console.log(options.models[i].isNew());
//Uncaught TypeError: options.models[i].isNew is not a function
}
}
if (operation == "update" ) {
for(vari = 0; i < options.models.length; i++) {
console.log(options.models[i].dirty);
// never jump there
}
}
return {models: kendo.stringify(options.models)};
}
Similarly, I need declare destroy ... What is wrong?

I am facing a problem which I am not aware how to resolve. Let me describe elaborately below:
I have a commonViewModel kendo class where event like save, cancel are written. I am facing problem with the save event of this class.
save: function () {
var that = this;
var routeLanguage = "";
that._showBackConfirmation(false);
that.set("isFormSubmitted", true);
console.log("form is valid, sending the save request!");
if (vm.get("languageTabsVm.selectedLanguage")) {
routeLanguage = "/" + vm.get("languageTabsVm.selectedLanguage");
}
else if (that.get("model.Languages") && that.get("model.Languages").length > 1) {
that.get("model.Languages").forEach(function (lang) {
if (lang.get("IsActive") === true) {
//sätt cv-visning till det språk jag senast redigerade på detta item
routeLanguage = "/" + lang.LanguageId;
}
});
}
//if i call the function _loadDefaultLanguageSelection here, it
// works. because, the datasource is not synced yet.
//Make sure the datasource are syncing changes to the server (includes all crud)
return that.dataSource.sync().fail(function (e) {
//i need to do something here to be in the same language tab. But
//as i am changing directly in to model, it is not possible. But
//saving directly to model is essential because that model is
//shared to other viewmodel for language tab synching purpose.
that.set("isFormSubmitted", false);
console.log("form rejected");
}).done(function () {
if (that.get("isPersonaldetail")) {
var name = that.get("model.Name");
if (name.length > 12)
name = name.substring(0, 11) + "...";
$("#profileName").text(name);
}
that.set("isFormSubmitted", false);
that.set("isSelected", false);
// it is called from here right now. but it is failing because
// model is updated but not synced in that function
that._loadDefaultLanguageSelection();
router.navigate(that.nextRoute + routeLanguage);
});
},
_loadDefaultLanguageSelection: function () {
var that = this;
if (that.get("model.Languages") && that.get("model.Languages").length > 1) {
that.get("model.Languages").forEach(function (lang) {
if (!that.get("isPersonaldetail")) {
lang.set("IsActive", lang.get("LanguageId") === vm.get("languageTabsVm.selectedLanguage"));
}
});
}
},
So, my question is, how can i resolve this problem. one solution is i will have to sync twice. that is not nice. So, I am looking for efficient solution.
I am using the following code to sort the rows of a table based on Ids. I am using Dragula for drag and drop functionality. The Sorted Ids is presented in the variable sortedIDs. The alert present within if(sortedIDs) is showing an alert, but no request is being sent using AJAX.
var container = document.getElementById('tb');
var rows = container.children;
var nodeListForEach = function (array, callback, scope) {
for (var i = 0; i < array.length; i++) {
callback.call(scope, i, array[i]);
}
};
var sortableTable = dragula([container]);
var pingu='';
sortableTable.on('dragend', function() {
nodeListForEach(rows, function (index, row) {
//alert(row.id);
pingu=pingu+','+row.id;
//alert(pingu);
// row.lastElementChild.textContent = index + 1;
// row.dataset.rowPosition = index + 1;
});
var sortedIDs=pingu;
pingu='';
// alert (sortedIDs);
if (sortedIDs) {
alert(sortedIDs);
$.ajax({
type: 'GET',
url: '<?php echo $site_url . 'index.php/API/p2376ghDSPOLWYBdhBT'?>',
data: 'lmqSPOEhyVt87H6tBYSfdreg=' + sortedIDs + '&hjhqweuty87685gh87GCfsc6HF=' + sbds98JWUDGHKJ98yujg,
success: function (tata) {
alert (tata);
if (tata == '1') {
$("#success").show();
$('#success').delay(2000).fadeOut('slow');
} else {
$("#failure").show();
$('#failure').delay(5000).fadeOut('slow');
}
}
});
} else {
//$('#ms').html('<option value="">Select Q level first</option>');
}
});
And when i am adding
error : function(jqXHR, textStatus, errorThrown){
}
for showing AJAX error, it starts throwing the alert too.
Any sort of help would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks
I solved the problem. I forgot to retrieve the value of an attribute and send it to the API.
var sbds98JWUDGHKJ98yujg = $('#p2JMopns3hfBubNNHJeer').val();
I have a bunch of data on JSON using LocalStorage from ng-storage like this,
[Object { judul="Just", isi="Testing"}, Object { judul="To", isi="Get"}, Object { judul="Specific", isi="Data"}]
but I want to get one specific data to get the "isi" value, how to do that ?
You can do this by adding a get function to your factory
for example :
.factory ('StorageService', function ($localStorage) {
$localStorage = $localStorage.$default({
things: []
});
var _getAll = function () {
return $localStorage.things;
};
//-----
var _get = function (isi) {
for( var i = 0; i < $localStorage.things.length ; i++ ){
if( $localStorage.things[i].isi === isi ){
return $localStorage.things[i];
}
}
}
return {
getAll: _getAll,
get : _get
};
})
and in your controller you can get the specific data by passing the id of your object
var objectInlocal = StorageService.get(Thing.isi);
I tried to define multiple custom validation rules under a observable array, I was referring to https://github.com/ericmbarnard/Knockout-Validation/wiki/Custom-Validation-Rules.
Following is my observablearray with the validation calls:
this.WeeklyData = ko.observableArray([]).extend({
validation: [
{
validator : fminIncrements,
message: 'use 15 min increments'
},
{
validator: ValidateMinMax,
message: "Invalid min/max value"
}
]
});
var ValidateMinMax = function (valueArray) {
var check = true;
ko.utils.arrayFirst(valueArray, function (value) {
if (parseInt(value.Val(), 10) < 0 || parseInt(value.Val(), 10) > 168) {
check = false;
return true;
}
});
return check;
};
var fminIncrements = function (valueArray) {
var check = true;
ko.utils.arrayFirst(valueArray, function (value) {
if (parseInt(value.Val(), 10) % 15 !== 0) {
check = false;
return true;
}
});
return check;
};
when I do this only the first rule fires. I debugged, and it doesn't even hit the second one. Any idea?
Thanks in advance for any help.
I believe its because you are using the ko.utils.arrayFirst(). If you use the ko.utils.arrayForEach() instead to check for every case then it shouldn't return at the first occurrence.
In the following piece of JavaScript code, i'm executing GetData.php using AJAX. However, when i remove the comments to see the request object's state property, it turns up as undefined, although the PHP script is getting executed properly and my page is changing as i want it to. But i still need the state property. Any clue on what's going on here ?
function refreshPage()
{
var curr = document.getElementById('list').value;
var opts = document.getElementById('list').options;
for(var i=0;i<opts.length;i++)
document.getElementById('list').remove(opts[i]);
var request = new XMLHttpRequest();
request.onreadystatechange=
function()
{
if(request.readyState == 4)
{
//alert(request.state);
//if(request.state == 200)
{
fillOptions();
var exists = checkOption(curr);
var opts = document.getElementById('list').options;
if(exists == true)
{
for(var i=0;i<opts.length;i++)
if(curr == opts[i])
{
opts[i].selected = true;
break;
}
}
else
{
opts[0].selected = true;
}
refreshData();
}
/*else
{
alert(request.responseText);
//document.close();
}*/
}
}
request.open("GET","GetData.php?Address=" + address + "&Port=" + port,true);
request.send();
}
Do you mean request.status not request.state?
Try changing it to the .status and it should work just fine :)
