Does anyone know if there is way to provide a animated image to AnimatedImage without using a url? The thing is, that I get a base64 encoded GIF via HTTPS that I want to display with the help of AnimatedImage. I thought about using QQuickImageProvider, but unfortunately QQuickImageProvider cannot be used with AnimatedImagebut only with Image. (see also https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-30524 ).
Can anyone think of another way to accomplish this? The only thing I can think of, is actually writing the file to the disk and using the url parameter (which is really inefficent).

So, I don't believe that exists someway to "read" a PNG through its binary code, or something like that, but I have zero knowledge on Image Processing or Computer Vision, and so, I can't be sure if that are ways to do it or not.
To be clear: I want to know if there are ways to identify the image of a Logo using an image of the Logo as reference but through methods that use only the binary of the image.

If the logo is known, and not distorted a lot (logo printed on a scarf is not as good as on a flat surface), there is technologies that can achieve that:

I was copying image links from google and I'm seeing more and more urls like this. What exactly is going on here and why are developers doing this? Heres a example.

That is the image, stored as a base64 encoded string.
So they're not giving you a link to the image, and are instead giving you the image data directly.
Copy and paste everything after the first comma into e.g. https://www.base64decode.org/ and you'll see the picture.
This article gives a very detailed breakdown on why someone might choose to do so. One of the main reasons is to cut down the number of requests to your webserver. (clicking that link did not make a request to google, as you had already downloaded the data)

why people do this ? depend on the project. This way your page will be a bit heavier, but your image will be inside the page. If you use an URL, to load your image the browser will need to make a call.
Maybe the best call to do that, is this way you don't depend on another website to save and keep your image
I am able to utilize imagemagick to properly generate animated images and I can post them to twitter without issue, however upon posting them, it seems as though Twitter is somehow destroying the animation component I'm guessing with it's reencoding of the image.
This is less than desirable in my situation as I need to post a statistical compilation of images daily to an account and need the animation to retain integrity. I am supposing that this is a function of Photobucket that they're now using or such.
How does one encode an image and upload it such that it retains its integrity? I have wondered about uploading directly to TwitPic or other options or perhaps exploring more fully the imagemagick encoding options so that they line up precisely with Twitter requirements in order to produce an image that requires no reencoding, however I'm looking for help in this regard.

If you are willing to use a pre-made library, you can try using Canvas2Image.
Otherwise there are a few Canvas methods that Canvas2Image wraps around and explain in more detail in the above site, namely the toDataURL method in the Canvas object that returns the data base64 encoded in the image format that you require. It's not 100% cross-browser, I think, but it's the "right" way of getting it.

I suppose the best way is to convert the text pages to images. You'd still be able to capture the images, but they wouldn't be in text form anymore; to get them back in their original form, you'd have to OCR them, which is an arduous process.
