I explain my problem. I have a running installation of magento, I wanted to change the shop megamenu, so I created a new block with the megamenu.
Then I set " no " in: include in navigation menu of the main shop category.
Now I have my new menu working but the problem is when I go into the shop page the "shop" button does not get highlighted. How can i fix that?

Joomla is very frustrating. It seems so complicated to do either of the following:
Remove the drop down behavior of the 'Home' menu item in my nav bar is creating. It is just an empty drop down when all I want it to do is just be a simple link that goes back to the home page.
Say I remove the 'Home' menu item and create a new one, it gives no options in the menu manager to set this up as it only gives me options to link to articles? I have done some research and people say to link it as an external/internal URL however i keep getting an error saying the menu item must be a component.
At the moment, my 'Home' menu item is linking to Featured Articles which displays my home page.
Anyone know how to fix this simple issue?

I am new to Joomla, I have some module on my homepage.
Every time I open read more article on homepage, the slide show module still appear.
I have hiden the intro text but nothing change. If i uncheck the homepage, the module completely disappear on homepage and article.
Please teach me how to remove the module just on read more article not the homepage.

If your articles are uncategorized or they they exist in a category that is not connected to a menu item (to get a unique menu id) you have to set module settings:
Module -> Menu Assignment: On all pages except those selected
And select the pages that you don't want the module to appear.
EDIT:
If there is an option to connect article categories to menu items (even to a hidden menu that won't be displayed in the site) then the correct way is to set in the module:
Module -> Menu Assignment -> Only on the pages selected
And select the pages that you want the module to appear.

If you go to Lounge and Living in the menu it the first column it has two categories saying Bookcases - Over 900 and Bookcases - up to 900.
Both these categories have been disabled in Catalog > Manage Categories (Is Active is set to NO and Include in Navigation Menu has been set to NO)
However both are still showing in the menu.
These have been linked using widgets which I clicked Insert Widget > Widget Type is Catalog Category Link. Anchor Custom Text and Custom Title are blank and Ive selected the Category from the Catalog > Manage Categories area.
Am I doing something wrong? Pretty much I want it so if I disable a Category in Catalog > Manage Categories it turns it off in the menu aswell.

HI I have problem to change content display into my homepage. I need change simple articles categories display to something like RAXO All-mode PRO. But I don't know how to insert this module into content on home page. I using Joomla 3.x
If it's impossible, maybe somebody know about component which show articles categories better than conventional.
To insert any module of Joomla x.x you can use this tag into the content of an article: {loadposition MyModulePosition}. Then in the module you set the position to MyModulePosition and in the menu display option mark the menu item that point to the article.
However if the home page menu item point to "all featured article", you can set the article as featured and the module apears in the home page.
I tried adding some pages in joomla but the navigation on the left disappears when following the newly add link. Please have a look here and notice the left navigation bar not showing under the "Test Menu Item" (left bottom).
I have literally copied all parameters from another menu item (e.g. "MILIEU") but it doesnt seem to affect the behavior. In stead the "news archive" item is always listed in the left navigation area.
How to remove the news archive link and have the normal navigation shown?
