Magnification of items during scrolling in Xamarin.Forms - xamarin

We need to implement a horizontal scroll control in Xamarin.Forms, that would not just allow scrolling through items via swipe, but would magnify elements in the row as they approach a center of the scroll control. The design of the layout desired is this:
Thus far I wasn't able to find any control for Xamarin or Xamarin.Forms that implements such behaviour.
Please either provide a hint on how to approach the implementation of such functionality via extending the UIScrollView, or point to a control or example that related to the requirement. Thank you.

You can use the CarouselView, but it's still in the preview. So, the best way to implement it at the moment is to use the CustomRenderers

how to do a horizontal carousel layout in nativescript?

As the picture above demonstrates, I want a layout that could contain A,B,C 3 sections. But only section B would be visible, A & C should be hidden, but when user swipe on section B, they could see the content of section A or C. I know ScrollView could do this, but I don't want it to be scrollable to the user. I want to programmatically control the behaviour when user swipes on it. Similar to the carousel. I have tried normal layout like GridLayout, FlexboxLayout...they all will contain the elements in the page, they just didnt let them overflow. So anyone has any idea on how to work around on it, please let me know, thanks.
I would recommend using nativescript-carousel (https://market.nativescript.org/plugins/nativescript-carousel) to achieve this. I think that is pretty much what you are after - just hide the indicator (dots). There are demos on that page for how to use with vanilla javascript, angular, or vue.
It makes use of DKCarouselView for iOS and ViewPager for Android.
You can also hook onto the slide tap and change events easily enough, which is all in the demo usage instructions.

Best way for implement scroll in Kinetic

I need to implement scrolling in my application developed with Kinetic.
I see two options:
Put the main div inside another div and use the scroll bars of the browser.
Perform the scroll funcionality with kinetick.
Considering that I have to add zoom functionality (which will change the scroll bars), what do you think will be the best way?.
Thank you very much.

Scroll management for LongListMultiSelector

In my WP8 application I use LongListMultiSelector and I would like to save it's scroll position when application is closed or tombstoned and then restore it when application is opened again. I will also need to scroll it programmatically to a specified item or specified position with animation when application is active.
The problem is that so far I can't find any methods on LongListMultiSelector that will allow me to scroll it with or without animation to a specified item or position. I also can't find methods that will allow me to get a list of all current items so I could choose of them to which one to scroll.
It can't be that scrolling is unmanageable on LongListMultiSelector so I'd like to get your advice on how I can get to this scroll functionality.
LongListSelector is kind of a "smart" controls. It means it has very complex behaviour but if you need to change it - better you shouldn't...
You have two options:
Write your own behavior on top of the content of the LongListMultiSelector. It contains primitives:ScrollBox control inside it.
Use standard LongListSelector and implement native ScrollTo method and your own multiselection. Multiselection is a simple task, ScrollTo is quite tricky since you basically can't scroll to position, only to item.

How to add left/bottom/right panes to Mac application as in XCode?

XCode 4 (but also iTunes and other Mac apps) provide side or bottom bars that can be shown or hidden with a smooth animation as the user presses a button.
How can I obtain a similar effect in my applications?
You can use NSSplitView to do that. You can have more than 2 subviews in a split view (left|center|right) and you can build a kind of hierarchy for the different bars (center consists of top and lower split views).
The show/hide effect is not built in, though. But you should be able to use the animator to do that. Most certainly you can also define animations for hiding a view.
You could also use the BWSplitView of http://brandonwalkin.com/bwtoolkit/ where the show/hide animation is already included.
You could also consider subclassing NSViewAnimation, which I believe Xcode uses in a number of places to achieve its fancy animation effects.

Scroll Gestures not Passed to IScrollInfo implementing panel in Windows Phone 7 CTP

I am using a custom panel as a ItemsPanel for a ItemsControl in a with a custom template that provides for a scroll viewer. (See Xaml below.) So long as my panel does not implement IScrollInfo, scrolling works in this scenerio.
I implement IScrollInfo and update my viewport and extent sizes in measure override. The scroll bar shows the correct relative size, and if I call the IScrollInfo methods directly, scrolling works as expected. However, the drag and flick gestures no longer scroll the content. Putting a breakpoint on the input of every IScrollInfo method shows that drag and pick are not calling the interface. Removing the IScrollInfo interface declaration restores the scroll on drag and flick behavior.
Is there a simple way to restore the flick and pan gestures to ItemControls with panels that implement IScrollInfo?
An unfortunate answer I received from Eric Sink, A MSFT forum moderator.
I believe that what is happening is that, when you inherit from
IScrollInfo, your panel takes over all of the scroll functionality but
we use an internal interface, as martin mentioned, to control the
flick animation. Since your object does not inherit from this
interface the underlying code will bypass this functionality.
I think that you should still be able to override the OnManipulation*
events and setup your own storyboard animation.
It sounds like if you want to do IScrollInfo, you're on your own for the manipulation.
