I have site that user can submit an article in frontend . I have create menu submit article, but when i click it , it redirect to homepage.
Thank you
The guidelines are here: Joomla : How to create an article from the front end.
Go through below:
Your menu item should not have access to only special members if you are submitting content as registered member. In short, you should maintain the access level of the page.
There can be some other cases, for which you must need to post the screenshot if any error message shown on the screen to debug. As you know there are many settings, custom code, and tweaks that Joomla CMS allows to implement.
To change the redirection when submitting an article I found it useful to do the following:
Associate the form that enables you to create an article from the frontend to a menu, and then edit the corresponding element of the menu, on the options tab, select the redirection after submission category to where you want it to redirect and that's it. Hope it helps anyone!

In joomla 2.5 user's are taken to predefined page after they have logged-in.
But i need to redirect users to the previous page after they have logged-in, i have tried to search for it every where but i am unable find proper solution explaining what core file i need to modify ?
All you need is an article with a little piece of javascript to browse the history of the user and call the page before the login form. Redirect the user on it on log in.
If you have a menue item (User/Login Form), there is, on the right hand side of the screen, a tab called Basic Options. The first field is called "Login Redirect". Put the article's URL there.
If you use the module: Again in the tab "Basic Options", you can redirect to Any menue item you want, so set a menue item (it has not to be actually showing up somewher) for the article
I have a blog page on Joomla which shows 'register to read more' link after each articles intro text.
Clicking this brings the user to a login page, with no 'register' option.
How would I change this to bring a user to the register page instead, and preferably revert the user back to the article after login? I have a login box on the register page so it allows the user to choose either login or register.
If you're using Joomla 2.5 and you don't see a link saying something like "Don't have an account?" then you have User Registration turned off.
Go to the Users menu and select User Manager and then click on the Options icon in the toolbar. Under the Component tab set the first option Allow User Registration to Yes.
Save you changes and then click on one of the "Register to read moreā¦" links and you should now see the extra "Don't have an account?"
If you want more than the basic Joomla! options for site access then you may want to look at the Joomla! Extensions Directory (JED) and the section on Site Access
My client has ecommerce store on Volusion and he is getting so many fake orders and now I want to add CAPTCHA before user login on shoppincart.asp page or one-page-checkout.asp page (before place order button).
My client website is www.featherstore.com
I already contacted Volusion support and they don't have any specific answer about this problem and just suggesting to take their serivce or get this done by their partner.
You can use google captcha for this :
Google reCaptcha
It is easy to use... You can find out the code how to put it. You just have to get one Public Key & Private Key for specific domain.
It's under the design menu in the admin panel, Hover over design, then click on articles.
Once on articles change display mode to list, and find one-page-checkout.asp and shoppingcart.asp click edit and add your code.
For reference use see:

I have made a site in Joomla 2.5, and can't edit my articles by using the frontend option "edit article".
This function is available when I am running the site in offline mode, but when I switch to online mode, it disappears.
When running the site in online mode, I login to the administrator, and then "view site"
Can some one please help me!
You need to log in on the frontend when your site is in online mode to be able to edit articles. It doesn't matter if you are logged already on the backend, it won't count.
You should either enable log in module on some page, or a menu item pointing to log in page on the frontend. After logging in there, you will be able to edit your articles.
If you don't want users to see your login page/module on the frontend, you can create a hidden menu item for it, for which only you would know the link and it won't be displayed
Just go to your website's /index.php?option=com_users
There you will be able to login to the frontend.
Joomla requires that home page was linked with some component.
So, if i link menu item of homepage to some article, i get a url like:
"index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=68&Itemid=464" on frontend.
How to link homepage to "/" ?
UPD:
Joomla verion 1.7
Maybe, i not accurately explained.
I link home menu item with some article.
When i go to www.mysite.com - all fine, choosen article is shown on homepage.
But then the home menu item on frontend became "index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=68&Itemid=464", not just '/'
You must use the default Joomla format for setting something as the "home" page. in 2.5 (since you failed to tell us which version you're running) you do this by using 'featured articles'. By default, any featured article is displayed on the homepage.
In older versions (1.5) you must mark it to display on the 'front page'
In doing that when you go to http://www.yoursite.com/ - you will see the articles listed as 'featured' or 'front page' articles. You can adjust how they display by using the front page or featured article manager.
I apologize if I've misunderstood your question - but hope this helps. It also looks like you don't have SEF URL's turned on - you may want to look into that. Regardless your front page will display without any additional URL stuff if you use the methods outlined above.
In your menu manager (backend), create a new entry for 1 article and select it in the list. After that, just define this new menu entry as default (or homepage).
This article will be the default homepage of your website and will be accessible via www.yoursite.com/
