I bought a Win 10 Pro retail version. Installed it on a VM on computer #1. I want to move the VM to computer #2 for a few months, then I'll want to move it to computer #3. Can I do that license wise?

Back story if anybody cares: My 4 year old Macbook Air was clinging to life by it's fingernails, it finally died. I bought Win 10 and installed it as VM on my Wife's newer Air. I just put a new logic board in my Old Air and want to move the Win 10 to it. If Apple ever actually releases the new Macbook Pros I'll be getting one of them and would like to transfer the VM and license a 3rd time... :)
yes you can do this licence wise so long as you never have it installed on one computer at once, the windows 10 licence agreement states that you may move it from one machine to another as long as it is never installed on more than one at once.

I have a laptop with a legal, OEM, version of Win 10 Pro. I'm trying to figure out if I have to purchase another Win 10 Pro license if I create a VM with Win 10 Pro on that machine. Will it recognize the license in the base OS and allow me to operate the VM version under that license?
This VM is for software testing purposes and would not be shared.

The VM is not going to recognize the License of you're host computer.
But you can use the unlicensed version of Windows 10 for testing.
The Goal of VMs is that they are completely different machines.

So I took my laptop (a Lenovo Yoga 2 pro) in to best buy after it had water spilled on it. They said they'd fix it under warranty and I left it with them. A few days later I came to pick it up, but with only one problem. I gave them the laptop with windows ten as it was installed during the free upgrade period. I got the laptop back with windows 8. Best buy basically said tough titties and told me they couldn't do anything. Would I be able to install windows 10 to it with no problem, or would I have to buy a copy. I heard you can install it and use the windows 8 key it came with.
What does everyone think?
So far I know, you can activate and install Windows 10 with the key of your old Windows version only if it's the one with which you upgraded to Windows 10. However it could be also possible to use other keys according to this link. Here is also shown how to reinstall Windows 10.

Anyway because it's Windows 10 you also have a digital license which is linked with your account. So it's also possible to reinstall Windows 10 without a product key requiring only to log in with your Microsoft account. You can read yourself, just scroll to the section where it's about how to activate after reinstallation.

I don't understand that StackExchange, where I can post question about computers, so I think, this will be good.
Friend of mine wanted to reinstall windows and clear everything. He had windows XP. He don't know a lot of computers, so I decided, I will do that. I took his HDD to home and connected to my computer. Installation of windows XP started and everything worked well.
But when I bring HDD back to his computer and connected it, all I get after start computer is that (picture bellow). It is something like cursor, flashing on screen and never end. Does someone know, what could went wrong, when that worked well in my PC and its same windows, which he had before? (Sorry for bad english)
Windows is configured based on the hardware underneath. Installing windows in one system and then placing the HDD in another usually does not work. Use a Bootable USB to install Windows in the system as the DVD Drive isn't functional.

I have two HDs in my Macbook Pro 15 in late 2009. I installed bootcamp and updated to Mavericks. My Windows partition in running Win7 Ultimate. I set the the boot disk in OSX to be my windows partition and now my laptop doesn't recognize me holding down the option key to choose which partition to boot. When windows boots i have to start the on screen keyboard and then close it for my keyboard presses to be recognized. The quote key causes the option and control keys to stick and delete doesn't work at all. I would use the bootcamp panel to switch back but it didn't install. i would really appreciate any help because i'm behind in my web dev projects and don't want to reinstall OSX because i'll lose my data, plus i took out the disc drive for my other HD.
You should try reseting PRAM.
If it not helps than probably some key are stuck and it cause other keys don't work.
Try to find and fix broken key by using this or this manual.
If it not helps, than it probably hardware keyboard problem.

Well, I screwed up big time today. The long and the short of it is that I spilled water on my MacBook Pro and the motherboard is shot. However, the hard drive seems to be okay. So I plugged the SATA cable into my PC, win 7 32bit, however I cannot find the drive. I just wanna copy some stuff over. Does anyone have any ideas?
You need to download a driver for windows to view the mac file system... search for an HFS+ driver
