Why won't ADB recognize my Samsung Fascinate on Mac OSX?

I am trying to write some android apps on Mac OSX and then test them on my Samsung Fascinate (Verizon), but ADB will not recognize the phone. I have tried everything from restarting adb, to reinstalling the SDK. It works on the linux/windows machine that I have, and I know Mac is recognizing the device, because it shows up in System Information.
Other people posted that EasyTether caused problems for them and I previously used EasyTether, but I removed every trace of EasyTether from my machine so that should not be the problem.
I also recently restored the phone to stock through Odin so the problem is definitely not on my phone. If anything, it is a Mac problem.
Anyone have any ideas why this isn't working? I appreciate the help.
I was having the same problem. What fixed it for me was going in to the USB connection option after it registers on the phone side and changing to USB Mass Storage mode. This was counter-intuitive since PC Mode is supposed to be for debugging, but on the Mac this caused the device to register with the adb server and I am able to debug my apps; it will not work for me when the connection is set to anything else.
Just had the same problem and removing EasyTether and then disconnecting/reconnecting solved the problem for me.

Can I submit a Mac App without enabling Sandboxing?

As I heard that Mac Apps submitted must enable sandboxing. Because I want to use NSRunningApplication.terminate, and it doesn't work with sandboxing.
Only sandboxed Apps are allowed, I'm sorry
UPDATE
Now Apple has extended the deadline for non sandboxed apps on the MAS until June. Apps that are not sandboxed can be updated even after that date... I think that is great news
To clarify, you can submit a non-sandboxed app until March 1, 2012. After that date, Apple will only accept sandboxed apps.
I'm not sure if they will remove non-sandboxed apps from the store once they are already in though. They'll either remove them or prevent you from updating until you use entitlements.

Updating on Mac OS X App Store

I am writing my first application. I was using Sparkle framework for updating but recently someone told me that this is not accepted by Apple on Mac App Store. So how else can I update my application? thanks.
You send updates to the app store. After being approved, they’ll be available and App Store.app will tell your users that there’s an update for your application.

Why does Plaxo Mac OS X sync use desktop client instead of Exchange?

I'm wondering why Plaxo makes its users download a Pref Pane to sync with Address Book. Why doesn't Plaxo use an Exchange server? (since Address Book supports this)
Anyone have any ideas why one approach is preferred over the other?
OS X didn't have Exchange support until 10.6 (Snow Leopard), so they probably want to support older versions of OS X. Also, then they'd have to buy an Exchange server, or force others to do so.
