Xamarin - Connect to Mac - xamarin

When developing with Visual Studio 2015, is it possible to use a Mac for both iPhone and Android builds?
A virtual machine would cope with Windows and Visual Studio.
The host system is an Apple Mac.
So can I connect from the virtual machine to the host system concerning Xamarin? (like 2 different computers, which is frequently stated in Xamarin tutorials)

Running Windows in a Virtual Machine on the Mac to run Visual Studio is possible. You would be able to connect to the build host on the host machine and build your iOS project.
However, you can also just run everything on the Mac and rely on Xamarin Studio or Visual Studio for Mac to build both iOS and Android.

How can connect VS2017 and Mac agent which are both on different machine for Xamrin IOS development?

I have installed VS2017 on a windows machine and Xamarin.ios on other MAC machines.
Is it possible to connect VS2017 from windows machin to Mac agent of MAC machine.
Yes. You can connect from visual studio to the mac agent as long as the 2 machine are on the same network. You can refer to HERE for the guide to setup the connection. It is for VS2015 but should be the same for VS2017.
As #Jason said, it is supported by Visual Studio.
You can refer to this Xamarin official documentation on how to connect them:
This guide explains the features provided Xamarin.iOS for Visual Studio and how the connection to the Mac build host is made.
Connecting to the Mac
If you are using Visual Studio Enterprise, you can enable "Remote Simulator to Windows" feature. Then iOS simulator will be showed directly on the PC and you don't need to move to the Mac when you debug apps. Refer to the following link for more details:

Cross platform Windows, Android and iOS apps development on a Mac computer using Visual Studio 2017 environment setup

Let's say my physical Environment is a Mac computer with Windows 10 installed using Bootcamp and also the same Windows 10 running on a Virtual Machine. (I think this is possible with some VM software)
With Visual Studio 2017 running under Windows is it possible to connect to MacOS to compile iOS part of the apps? How?
I think I cannot develop Windows Apps using Visual Studio 2017 for Mac so that option is out of question.
Thank you for your help.
Check out the setup and installation documentation. Basically you need to install Visual Studio for Mac on your Mac and Visual Studio 2017 in your virtual machine.
You then need to connect via the build agent (Visual Studio will show you how). This can all be done on the same machine if you are using a Mac.

the ios designer mac agent is not available

Hi am using visual studio 2015 community to create ios app.I am getting this error all time like the ios designer mac agent is not available.I am using win-7 64-bit os.
You have to have a Mac paired with your Windows OS in order to utilize the iOS Designer.
Xamarin.iOS Requirements:
Windows 7 or higher.
Visual Studio 2012 Professional or higher.
Xamarin for Visual Studio.
A Mac running OS X Yosemite (10.10) or higher (although we recommend the latest stable version).
Xamarin iOS SDK.
Apple’s Xcode(7+) IDE and iOS SDK (we recommend the latest version from the App Store).
The Windows computer must be able to reach the Mac via the network.
Xamarin.iOS for Visual Studio accomplishes an amazing feat: it lets you create, build, and debug iOS applications on a Windows computer using the Visual Studio IDE. It cannot do this alone – iOS applications cannot be created without Apple’s compiler, and they cannot be deployed without Apple’s certificates and code-signing tools. This means that your Xamarin.iOS for Visual Studio installation requires a connection to a networked Mac OS X computer in order to perform these tasks. Once configured, Xamarin’s tools will make the process as seamless as possible.

This worked for me perhaps it might work for you
Delete the Xamarin folder in your %localappdata%\Local\Temp
If this fails reinstall/update mono on Mac

Pairing for the native code compilation with Windows 7 on MacBookPro (using BootCamp for Xamarin Development)

I am running Windows 7 on MacBookPro using BootCamp for Xamarin Development.
So, if I setup my MacBookPro like this and create a Xamarin project in Visual Studio 2015, is it possible to perform the pairing for the native code compilation?
No, because with BootCamp your MacBook runs Windows 7. You can develop your apps but you can not execute any iOS app if you do not have a second Mac somewhere else.
What you can do instead is to install Windows in a virtual machine with tools like Paralells or VirtualBox and connect it with your MacBook. This way you only need a single Mac if you want to develop an iOS app and using Visual Studio.

Xamarin deploy to iPhone directly from Visual Studio

The docs from Xamarin aren't explicit as to where an iOS device needs to be attached. I'm using VS to build a Xamarin app through a remote Mac Builder (connected via VPN) but my iphone is attached to my PC with Visual Studio. Its completely unclear as to whether or not you can deploy a compiled to from the PC you're running Visual Studio on or whether the iOS device needs to be USB'd to the remote Mac running the build.
Any pointers would be helpful.
Your iPhone needs to be connected to the OS-X Host:
